Oral care compositions containing a gel network phase
An oral care composition containing a gel phase, an abrasive, and a fluoride source. The gel network phase contains a cold dispersible fatty amphiphile and phase separation is not visually perceptible in the oral care composition.
FLUSHABLE WIPE AND METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME
A single or multi-ply flushable and dispersible wet wipe including a wet laid fibrous web imprinted using a structuring fabric, a binder composition comprising poly(vinyl) alcohol, poly(vinyl) acetate, poly (ethylene) (vinyl) alcohols, poly (ethylene) (vinyl) acetate, copolymers of vinyl acetate-ethylene, or combinations thereof, and one or more additives. In an exemplary embodiment, the fibrous web is wetted by a wetting solution comprising 0.1% to about 10% by weight of one of the following: (1) boric acid; and (2) boric acid and a mono or divalent salt.
TREATMENT OF TOOTH DECAY USING A CHEWING GUM COMPOSITION COMPRISING CANNABINOIDS
The invention is directed to a food product for use in the prevention, inhibition or treatment of tooth decay and other dental conditions, diseases and disorders, wherein said food product is a chewing gum comprising at least one cannabinoid.
WATER-IN-OIL COSMETIC PREPARATION
The present invention provides a water-in-oil cosmetic preparation which contains: (a) from 0.1% by mass to 3% by mass of a substance that is selected from among alkyl-modified/partially crosslinked polyether-modified silicones and alkyl-modified/partially crosslinked polyglycerol-modified silicones; (b) from 0.05% by mass to 0.8% by mass of an uncrosslinked alkyl branched polyether-modified silicone; (c) from 30% by mass to 90% by mass of an aqueous component; and (d) from 5% by mass to 30% by mass of an oil component.
This water-in-oil cosmetic preparation has excellent emulsion stability even in cases where an oil component such as a hydrocarbon oil or an ester oil is contained therein in a large amount, while exhibiting good spreadability since the emulsified state thereof is smoothly broken upon application, and enabling the achievement of water breaking sensation and excellent feeling of use.
COMPOSITION FOR ENHANCING SKIN ELASTICITY OR IMPROVING SKIN WRINKLES
Disclosed herein is a composition for enhancing skin elasticity or improving skin wrinkles. In one aspect, 2-isopropylmalic acid or a salt, hydrate or solvate thereof, which is an active ingredient of the present disclosure, activates skin primary cilia and inhibits the expression of MMP-1 to enhance skin elasticity and improve skin wrinkles. In addition, in one aspect, 2-isopropylmalic acid or a salt, hydrate or solvate thereof, which is an active ingredient of the present disclosure, is a safe material and has the advantage that it can be treated in the living body in various forms such as cosmetics and food.
Cleansing composition
Dental appliance cleansing composition comprising (a) fatty acid isopropyl ester, (b) polyoxyethylene sorbitan ester, (c) second sorbitan ester, wherein the cleansing composition does not contain methanol, ethanol or isopropyl alcohol. Dental appliance cleansing wipe impregnated with the composition. Use of the dental appliance cleansing composition or wipe for cleaning dental appliances and dentures.
Heel patch
An improved therapeutic adhesive patch for application to the heel is described for treating or preventing heel disorders or conditions, such as cracked heel.
Pramoxine compositions
The invention provides a topical o/w emulsion which moisturizes, and protects, repairs or restores the skin lipid barrier of a mammal. The topical o/w emulsion composition comprises: a) a discontinuous oil phase; b) a continuous aqueous phase comprising water; c) a thickening agent; d) at least one lamellar membrane structure comprising (i) a phospholipid, (ii) a fatty alcohol, and (iii) a fatty acid; e) a pharmaceutically acceptable active agent; and f) optionally a dermatologically acceptable excipient. In one embodiment, the composition, in use, has a water vapor transmission rate of less than or about 75 g.Math.m.sup.−2.Math.hr.sup.−1 measured in vitro using the modWVTR test methodology.
Method for improving aqueous solubility of water-insoluble or slightly water-soluble drugs
A method of increasing the solubility of a water-insoluble or slightly water-soluble hydrophobic organic compound in an aqueous solvent includes adding a saponin component selected from escin, glycyrrhizin, and Quillaya saponaria extract to the aqueous solvent in an amount sufficient to trigger the formation of micelles, wherein in a first step the hydrophobic organic compound is pre-dissolved in an organic solvent, and in a second step the organic solvent comprising the pre-dissolved compound is admixed to the aqueous solvent, whereby at least a part of the insoluble or slightly soluble hydrophobic organic compound gets solubilized and dissolved in the aqueous solvent, yielding an aqueous composition having an increased concentration of said organic compound dissolved therein. Also indicated are pharmaceutical or cosmetic compositions including a water-insoluble or slightly water-soluble organic compound dissolved in an aqueous solvent at substantially increased concentrations.
Composition for skin soothing containing liquid-phase plasma
The present invention is to provide a composition for skin soothing, which is safe from a risk of side effects, and relates to a composition for skin soothing containing a liquid-phase plasma. The liquid-phase plasma of the present invention is obtained by applying plasma as pure energy to a liquid-phase material, and can be used in the skin sensitive to a chemical material without a risk of side effects. Furthermore, the liquid-phase plasma has remarkable effects on the prevention or treatment of dermatitis or photo-aging due to ultraviolet light, and thus is expected to be greatly used in beauty care and mechanical fields.
