Turret for tool machine
A turret for tool machine includes: at least a turret body supported by the tool machine; at least a rotating drum supported by the turret body and supporting at least two tool holders upon which are mounted at least two rotating tools the rotating drum being mounted externally rotating around the turret body; at least an electrical spindle positioned in a recess inside the turret body; the electrical spindle extending itself around a vertical axis; the electrical spindle including a motor, a rotating shaft for the transmission of the movement associated to the motor and an engagement portion suitable for coupling to the tool holder; each tool holder extending itself along a vertical axis; the rotating drum being rotatably mounted around the turret body so as to rotate for aligning each tool holder with the engagement portion.
COOLANT COUPLING DEVICE
A coolant coupling device (20) includes: a cylinder chamber (25) provided for a support member (2) for a tool rest (4) in a machine tool and supplied with coolant; a piston (P) movably arranged in the cylinder chamber (25); and a coolant supply flow channel (30) provided for the piston (P) for passing coolant therethrough. The piston (P) is driven by the coolant supplied to the cylinder chamber (25) so that an outlet (32) of the coolant supply flow channel (30) is connected to a coolant inlet port (10) of the tool rest (4) to supply the coolant to the tool rest (4). The piston (P) comprises a cylindrical projection (29) protruding toward and into the cylinder chamber (25), and the coolant supply flow channel (30) has an inlet (34) that opens at an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical projection (29).
Tool holder
A machine tool comprises a tool carrier, e.g. in the form of a turret disc (7) that is provided with receptacles (8) for tool holders (9), wherein each tool holder and tool carrier comprise support surfaces associated to each other and devices for fixing the tool holder at the tool carrier. At least one clamping element is provided at the tool carrier (7) that is adjustably supported between a clamping position and a release position in a direction transverse to a tie rod of a tool holder arranged on a slider (22) receptacle of the tool carrier. The clamping element is provided with a first clamping surface (24) that can be brought into engagement with a second clamping surface (35) at the tie rod of the tool holder in a self-locking and releasable manner.
Device, method, and cutting plate for machining a rotating workpiece
A method and a device for machining a workpiece rotating about a rotational axis. The machining point moves along the cutting edge of a cutting edge plane and the surface to be machined in a rolling movement on an advancement plane not intersected by the rotational axis. A pivot drive implements a large enough pivot angle so that a first workpiece surface is machined by a machining point moving along the first cutting edge in a first machining step. In a second machining step, a second workpiece surface is machined, wherein the machining point moves along the second cutting edge and the second workpiece surface. The cutting edge has a curvature radius smaller than the distance from the pivot axis of the holder to the cutting edge. The holder can additionally be displaced on the advancement plane with a movement component in a direction transverse to the rotational axis.
Universal Rotating Chuck Apparatus
A universal rotating chuck system capable of accommodating multiple small-batch or one-off machining jobs, involving workpieces of different diameter and composition, comprises a rotating chuck having multiple jaws that may be adjusted positionally inward or outward towards the longitudinal centerline of the workpiece or removed entirely. The chuck is rotated by a dual-motor system driving an inner and outer shaft, where the inner shaft is selectively coupled to the outer shafts to rotate independently and adjust the jaws, or rotate alongside the outer shaft to rotate the chuck. In operation, the system is capable of conducting numerous machining operations independent of direct user intervention, including loading/unloading workpieces, loading/unloading tools, measuring tools and workpieces for quality control, and storage.
UNIVERSAL MACHINING APPARATUS AND CONTROL SYSTEM
A universal machining system capable of accommodating multiple small-batch or one-off machining jobs, involving workpieces of different diameter and composition, comprises a rotating chuck having multiple jaws that may be adjusted positionally inward or outward towards the longitudinal centerline of the workpiece or removed entirely, and a tool turret capable of holding a variety of socketed tools. System also comprises a measurement sensor, which may be separate or comprise one of the socketed tools. A control program collects machining instructions for a series of workpieces, and directs the chuck, the tool turret, the measurement sensor, and at least one robot to load/unload workpieces and tools from the chuck and turret, respectively, measure workpieces and tools for quality control, and track available storage, overriding or skipping individual machining instructions as dictated by safety parameters and the availability of raw materials and tools.
