Vaccines against Hepatitis B virus
A pharmaceutical composition comprising at least two peptides of from 15 to 60 amino acids in length, selected from peptides comprising a sequence of at least 15 contiguous amino acids of one of the sequences shown in SEQ ID NOs: 1 to 4 or of a sequence having at least 80% identity to one of the sequences shown in SEQ ID NOs: to 4, wherein each peptide comprises at least one CD8+ T-cell epitope and/or at least one CD4+ T-cell epitope and wherein each peptide elicits a response in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (BMC) from at least one chronically infected HBV individual in an 10 in vitroassay.
Treatment of insect bite hypersensitivity
The present invention relates to compositions, immunogenic or vaccine compositions and pharmaceutical compositions for the prevention or treatment of insect bite hypersensitivity of equine mammals, preferably of horses. Furthermore, the invention provides methods for preventing or treating insect bite hypersensitivity of equine mammals, preferably of horses.
Vaccine compositions
The present disclosure provides vaccine compositions for prophylaxis and treatment of Zika virus infections comprising Zika virus antigens in immunogenic compositions, and in combination of Zika antigens with one or more arbovirus antigens such as Chikungunya virus and Japanese encephalitis virus antigens, methods of preparation and production of such compositions for use as vaccines for eliciting immune response in mammals against the above mentioned pathogens.
Immunogenic compositions for use in pneumococcal vaccines
An object of the present invention is to provide immunogenic compositions for protection against S. pneumoniae, in particular against S. pneumoniae serogroup 18, while limiting the number of conjugates. The present invention therefore relates to new immunogenic compositions for use in pneumococcal vaccines and to vaccination of human subjects, in particular infants and elderly, against pneumoccocal infections using said immunogenic compositions.
Phosphorylated hexaacyl disaccharides (PHADs) for treating or preventing infections
The present disclosure relates to phosphorylated hexaacyl disaccharide (PHAD) compounds, compositions, and methods for treating or preventing infections.
Methods and compositions for treatment of amyloid deposition diseases
Methods and pharmaceutical compositions for treatment of amyloid deposition diseases using chimeric (e.g., mouse-human) antibody are disclosed, including a method for treating amyloid deposition diseases with cardiac involvement by administering pharmaceutical compositions comprising a chimeric anti-amyloid fibril antibody. The methods herein can improve myocardial function in patients diagnosed with light chain amyloid light chain amyloidosis (ALA) having a cardiac involvement in as little as three weeks after treatment.
FOOD COMPOSITION AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR INHIBITING SJOGREN'S SYNDROME EACH CONTAINING BIFIDOBACTERIUM PSEUDOCATENULATUM C-RAPO (KCTC13986BP) AND BIFIDOBACTERIUM BIFIDUM ATT (KCTC13474BP)
Disclosed are Bifidobacterium pseudocatenulatum C-RAPO (KCTC13986BP) and Bifidobacterium bifidum ATT (KCTC13474BP) strains that have the effects of inhibiting sialoadenitis, which is a symptom of the Sjogren's syndrome, and inhibiting a reduction in saliva flow rate. Based on this, these strains can be used for prevention or treatment of Sjogren's syndrome and can be developed into food, health food and pharmaceuticals.
INFLUENZA VIRUS BACKBONE
The invention provides an influenza virus that demonstrates enhanced growth in Vero cells. The influenza virus includes PB1, PB2, PA, NP, and NS gene segments encoding proteins having amino acid sequences with selected amino acids. Optionally, at least one of the PB1, PB2, and PA gene segments includes a cytosine to uracil promoter mutation at nucleotide position 4. The invention el also provides a pharmaceutical formulation containing the influenza virus, as well as a method of eliciting an immune response in a mammal by administering the influenza virus to the mammal, and a method for generating the influenza virus.
MULTI-EPITOPIC CONSTRUCT
The invention relates to multiple epitope constructs, immunogenic and vaccine compositions comprising recombinant molecules presenting inserted multiple and different epitopes from a variety of antigens. The antigenic determinants being associated with different pathways leading to atherosclerosis. In particular, the invention relates to such compositions for eliciting an immune response against antigens and pathogens involved in the development of atherosclerosis. The invention includes inter alia methods of treating and/or preventing the disease and recombinant protein products.
ADJUVANTED NANOPARTICULATE INFLUENZA VACCINE
Vaccine compositions comprising influenza antigens formulated as nanoparticulate water in oil miniemulsions. The vaccines may be formulated at the point of use and are useful in emergency response conditions.
