A metal-resin joint 10 of the present disclosure includes an anchor portion 34 provided on a metal bonding surface 32 of a metal member 30. The anchor portion 34 has a pair of protrusion strips 35 and 35 protruding from the metal bonding surface 32 with a gap, a recessed groove 36 provided between the pair of protrusion strips 35 and 35, and a plurality of partitions 37 protruding from a groove bottom of the recessed groove 36. The plurality of partitions 37 are provided to be inclined toward one side Y1 in a direction in which the pair of protrusion strips 35 and 35 extend as going toward a distal end side, and to be side by side in a direction Y in which the pair of protrusion strips 35 and 35 extend.
MARKING MACHINE AND WAFER PRODUCTION SYSTEM
Provided that is a marking machine for applying markings to an ingot having separating layers formed at a depth corresponding to a thickness of a wafer to be produced. The marking machine includes a reading unit configured to read the ingot information formed on the ingot, a control unit having a storage section configured to store the ingot information read by the reading unit, and a marking unit configured to mark, based on the ingot information stored in the storage section, information that includes the ingot information, to the wafer to be produced.
GALVANOMETER CONTROLLED FIBER OPTIC LASER
A laser engraver comprises a generally rectangular housing with an open bottom adapted to rest on supports provided at the top plane of an open carriage. Thumb wheel screws operating in fixed nuts on the left and right sides of the laser housing and resting on supports at the top plane of the carriage allow the laser housing can be raised, lower and tilted. A plate can be removably and adjustably mountable within the housing directly under the laser for carrying smaller objects. A cart capable of carrying objects to be engraved can be moved into the space between the carriage side panels and is provided with height and level adjustments to support an object to be engraved by the laser when the removable plate is taken out of the laser housing.
Method for connecting two components and component composite
A method for connecting two components with the aid of a laser weld seam. The two components are situated one above the other in a joining area. The first component is pressed in the direction of the second component with the aid of a clamping device. A laser beam impacts the first component on the side facing away from the second component and at least indirectly fusing material of the two components.
Separation and release of laser-processed brittle material
A method for separating and releasing a closed-form piece from a workpiece made of a brittle material is disclosed. A first pulsed laser-beam creates defects along the outline of the closed-form piece. A second laser-beam selectively heats the closed-form piece for a first time that is sufficient to initiate cracking between the defects. The heating is stopped for a period sufficiently long for the cracks to propagate completely between the defects. The second laser-beam is applied for a second time that causes melting and deformation of the closed-form piece. The deformation opens a gap between the closed-form piece and the rest of the workpiece, thereby allowing release of the closed-form piece.
System and method for ablation assisted nanostructure formation for graded index surfaces for optics
A system and method is disclosed for forming a graded index (GRIN) on a substrate. In one implementation the method may involve applying a metal layer to the substrate. A fluence profile of optical energy applied to the metal layer may be controlled to substantially ablate the metal layer to create a vaporized metal layer. The fluence profile may be further controlled to control a size of metal nanoparticles created from the vaporized metal layer as the vaporized metal layer condenses and forms metal nanoparticles, the metal nanoparticles being deposited back on the substrate to form a GRIN surface on the substrate.
LASER PROCESSING DEVICE AND LASER PROCESSING METHOD
The controller executes a first process of moving a support portion so that inside the peripheral edge of an object, a focusing position moves along the peripheral edge, thereby forming a first modified region, and following the first process, executes a second process of moving the support portion so that the focusing position moves, thereby forming a second modified region The measurement data acquiring portion, at execution of the first process, acquires measurement data associated with position information on a position of the object. The controller, at execution of the second process, causes the driving portion to shift a position of the condenser lens, the position being along the direction of an optical axis, to an initial position based on the measurement data acquired in the first process, before or when the focusing position moves from outside of the object to inside thereof.
LASER PROCESSING DEVICE AND LASER PROCESSING METHOD
A control unit performs first processing of irradiating an object with laser light while relatively moving a first converging point and a second converging point along a first line, in a state where a distance between the first converging point and a second converging point is set as a first distance, and performs second processing of irradiating the object with the laser light while relatively moving the first converging point and the second converging point along a second line, in a state where the distance between the first converging point and the second converging point is set to a second distance smaller than the first distance.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DRILLING CERAMIC
A method of machining includes mounting a component in a drilling machine. The component has a target region where the hole is to be drilled. The component and a jet head are situated relative to each other in a drilling arrangement in which the target region is at a first position that is vertically equal to or vertically above a second position at which the jet head is located. A liquid stream is jetted from the jet head and contains either abrasive particles or a laser beam. The stream impinges the target region, and the abrasive particles or the laser beam cause removal of material from the component to form the hole. The liquid stream rebounds off of the component as back-splash. The drilling arrangement causes gravitational draining of the back-splash from the target region to reduce interference between the back-splash and the liquid stream.

An irradiation device for additively manufacturing three-dimensional objects may include a beam generation device that includes a plurality of laser diode arrays. Respective ones of the plurality of laser diode arrays may include a plurality of diode emitters respectively configured to emit an energy beam. The plurality of laser diode arrays may be longitudinally offset relative to one another, and the plurality of laser diode arrays may be laterally offset relative to one another.
