The invention relates to a processing plant (1) comprising: at least one first working spindle (2); a tool magazine (6) for storing different processing tools (4), wherein at least one storage plane (10) having several tool receiving spaces (11) arranged next to one another is provided in the tool magazine (6); a tool change device (5) comprising at least one first gripper device (13) for exchanging the processing tool (4) held in the working spindle (2), wherein the gripper device (13) comprises at least one first gripper unit (15) and one second gripper unit (16) which are positioned at a gripper-unit distance (17) from one another. The gripper units (15, 16) can be displaced between the working spindle (2) and the tool magazine (6).

Provided is a tool magazine apparatus that has excellent workability and is capable of being downsized. A tool replacement device includes a fixed frame installed in an opening portion provided at a predetermined position of a tool magazine, a swivel frame disposed inside the fixed frame so as to be rotatable about a swivel axis extending in a vertical direction, and a tool replacement rack fixed to the swivel frame. The swivel frame is rotated to a deliverable position at which the tool replacement rack is parallel to a tool rack inside the tool magazine to enable a tool to be delivered between the tool replacement rack and a tool transfer device, and to a replaceable position at which the tool replacement rack is located outside the tool magazine to enable replacement of old and new tools.

A machining apparatus includes: a shuttle unit (3) that holds a differential case (10) and rotates the differential case (10); a pair of opposed right and left machining units (4); and a tool support (6) that supports a tool (40) for machining the differential case (10), in which the pair of right and left machining units (4) each include a slide mechanism dedicated for uniaxial sliding in right and left directions, the shuttle unit (3) is movable in up and down directions and front and back directions, a tool attached to each of the pair of right and left machining units (4) enables machining an end portion of an inner surface of the differential case (10) and a flange hole of the differential case (10), the end portion surrounding a through hole, and a cutting edge of the tool (40) supported by the tool support (6) enables spherically cutting the inner surface of the differential case (10) held and rotated by the shuttle unit (3).

In a machine tool having a tool carrier (1) that comprises at least one receptacle (4) for a tool holder (3) for driven or stationary tools a tool change device is provided that comprises gripping means (370) for gripping the tool holder (3) at the housing (7) or at part (71) connected with the housing (7). In addition to the gripping means the tool change device comprises a device for actuating the fastening means that are configured for attachment of the tool holder at the tool carrier.

The invention relates to a machine tool (100) for machining a workpiece, said machine tool (100) comprising a machine table (10) for clamping the workpiece, a work spindle (20) for receiving a tool for machining the workpiece, a work space (70) substantially defined by the machine table (10) and at least one first cover (30), and a tool changer (50) arranged outside the work space (70) and configured to change the tool received in the work spindle (20), wherein the machine tool (100) is further configured such that, during a tool change, the first cover (30) is moved, as a result of which the work space (70) of the machine tool (100) is expanded by a tool changing area (80) and an access surface (42), through which the tool changer (50) can be moved into the tool changing area (80), is exposed, and the work spindle (20) is positioned in the tool changing area (80) such that the tool changer (50) is able to change the tool received by the work spindle (20) within the tool changing area (80).

A machine tool includes a motor configured to rotate a spindle, a tool magazine holding a plurality of tools, and a controller. The controller has a storage unit storing motor information indicating that the motor is a synchronous motor. When the machine tool stops, while a tool exchange process is carried out, due to electric power outage, operation of a stop button, a value of a drive current of the motor, or a value output from the sensor, the controller uses a command for the synchronous motor, based on the motor information, as a part of a series of commands for recovery of the machine tool, where the tool exchange process is a process in which a tool attached to the spindle is changed with one of the plurality of tools of the tool magazine.

Provided is a tool magazine apparatus capable of preventing a phase error in attaching a tool to a tool holding gripper. A tool magazine apparatus includes: a magazine body having both front and rear racks each provided with tool holding grippers; a tool transfer device to take out a tool from the both racks and attach a tool to the both racks; a tool standby pot to hold a tool; and an intra-magazine tool change device to deliver a tool between the tool standby pot and the tool transfer device. The tool transfer device includes: a moving body disposed between the both racks; a base disposed on the moving body and being rotatable around an axis extending in the Z-axis direction; a transfer gripper attached to the base and being movable in a plane orthogonal to the Z-axis direction; and an air cylinder causing the transfer gripper to move.

A machine tool includes a lower tool post for holding a cutting tool, a tool main spindle for holding a cutting tool, a storage unit capable of storing the cutting tool, an exchange mechanism for exchanging the cutting tools between the tool main spindle and the storage unit, an inside robot for exchanging the cutting tools between the lower tool post and the tool main spindle, and a controller. The controller performs control such that the cutting tools are exchanged between the lower tool post and the storage unit via the inside robot, the tool main spindle, and the exchange mechanism.

A machine tool (1) removes chips adhering to a working portion of a tool (T). More specifically, a fluid injecting nozzle (23, 24) injects a fluid toward the tool (T) enclosed in an enclosure (22). The present disclosure relates to a tool magazine of a machine tool such as a moving column-type machining center, in which a magazine unit is installed on a saddle, a tool accommodated in a gripper part of the magazine unit is loaded or unloaded in a direction perpendicular to a tool axis, and a gripping part of a change arm directly grips a flange portion of the tool at the time of changing the tools by means of a tool changing part movably installed on the saddle and a tool changing part transfer part configured to move the tool changing part independently of a column, thereby reducing tool change time, improving productivity, minimizing a collision or mechanical interference, and improving stability and reliability in the medium-sized or large-sized machine tool having a length in a width direction.
