MULTI-PIECE HOUSING FOR INDEXABLE MOTORIZED RATCHET TOOLS
A tool housing for a tool, such as a motorized ratcheting-type tool. The tool housing includes a ratchet housing portion, a first housing portion pivotably coupled to the ratchet housing portion, a second housing portion having first and second opposing ends, and a motor housing portion coupled to the second end of the second housing portion. The first end of the second housing portion is threadably coupled to the first housing portion.
SCREW DRIVER AND COMPLIMENTARY SCREWS
Disclosed screwdrivers may include a rotatable drive shaft having a drive portion disposed at a distal end thereof, and a drive end disposed at a proximal end thereof. Disclosed screwdrivers may include an angled tip portion that is angled with respect to the longitudinal direction, and a mechanism configured to transfer a rotational force applied to the drive portion of the drive shaft through the angled tip portion to the drive end of the drive shaft. Disclosed screwdrivers may include an elastic retaining clip configured to have a bone screw securely attached therein at a clipping force and progressively release the bone screw therein at an extraction force. Disclosed screwdrivers may include at least one spring contacting the elastic retaining clip and the angled tip portion that is configured to facilitate the progressive release of the bone screw.
EXPANDABLE INTER-BODY DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
The present disclosure provides for spinal implants deployable between a contracted position and an expanded position. The spinal implant may include a first endplate and a second endplate, each having a plurality of guide walls and inclined ramps. The spinal implant may further include a moving mechanism having first and second trolleys configured to act against the first and second plurality of ramps. The expansion mechanism may further include a first set screw and a second set screw opposite the first set screw. The moving mechanism may be configured to operably adjust a spacing between the first and second endplates upon simultaneous rotation of the first and second set screws along a rotation axis, and may also operably adjust an angle of inclination between the first and second endplates upon rotating the first set screw or second set screw along the rotation axis.
Method of using a combination driver/anti-rotation handle for shoulder arthroplasty
A method of preparing a shoulder to receive a glenoid component includes accessing a glenoid of a shoulder, positioning a distal portion and a proximal portion of a combination power extension/anti-rotation device on a guide wire positioned in the shoulder and reaming a hole in the shoulder using the combination power extension/anti-rotation device with the distal portion and the proximal portion positioned on the guide wire. The proximal portion is removed from the guide wire and pivoted with respect to the distal portion while the distal portion is still positioned on the guide wire. The picoted proximal portion is used to rotate an instrument to a first position and a bore is formed in the glenoid through the instrument with the instrument at the first position.
Hand tool having a head which is position-adjustable and lockable relative to a handle
A hand tool includes a head and a handle. The head is pivotally mounted to the handle, permitting the position of the head to be changed relative to the handle. In addition, the tool includes a primary locking mechanism and a secondary locking mechanism. The primarily locking mechanism primarily fixes the head relative to the handle in a particular position. The secondary locking mechanism can be used to further lock the head and handle. The locking mechanisms are actuated by movement of a sleeve which is located on the handle.
SURGICAL SCREWDRIVER
Various implementations include a surgical screwdriver that comprises a first rotating shaft configured to be rotated about a respective longitudinal axis, a second rotating shaft extending along a respective development axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the first shaft and having a shaped end tip that can be inserted into the head of a screw, and a transmission member interposed between respective first ends of the shafts to transfer the rotation from the first shaft to the second shaft. The transmission member comprises a pair of hemispherical elements, hinged together about a respective junction axis that is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the first shaft, and each hemispherical element is in turn hinged to a first end of one of said shafts.
Power wrench with angle drive
A power wrench includes a cylindrical housing, a motor, and an angle head attached to the housing and supporting an output shaft in a laterally extending position. The angle head is connected to the housing via a swivel coupling to enable rotation of the angle head and adjustment of the angular position of the output shaft relative to the housing. A releasable locking device is included between the angle head and the housing for arresting the angle head in alternative angular positions relative to the housing.
Hinge Structure of Hand Tool
A hinge structure of a hand tool includes a first connector having a first connecting portion; a second connector having a second connecting portion; and a shaft having one end formed of a stopping portion protruded therefrom and another end having a locking slot formed thereon. The locking slot includes a locking member elastically locked thereon. The shaft penetrates through the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion. In addition, the locking member is locked inside the locking slot, such that the locking member and the stopping portion are locked at the outer side of the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion. Accordingly, the engagement area between the shaft and the first connector and the second connector is able to provide a greater strength.
Sizing tool
A tool for sizing a workspace includes a first link with a link body and a tool element. The tool includes a second link connected to the first link, where the second link is capable of rotation or translation with respect to the first link, and where the first link and the second link are selectively securable relative to each other. The tool includes a third link connected to the second link, where the third link is capable of rotation or translation with respect to the second link, and where the second link and the third link are selectively securable relative to each other.
UNIVERSAL JOINT
A universal joint includes a socket member and a driving member. The socket member includes a receiving hole, and an inner periphery of the receiving hole is formed with first evading portions and first abutting portions staggered with each other to cause the first abutting portions not connected to each other. Each first abutting portion is provided with a first abutting face, a second abutting face, and an adjacent edge formed between the first abutting face and the second abutting face. One side of the adjacent edge forms an adjacent edge angle being greater than 177 degrees and less than 180 degrees. The driving member includes a rounded base arranged in the receiving hole and a driving column opposite to the rounded base.
