SEAT INSERT TOOL
20200055172 · 2020-02-20 · ·

A seat insert tool is disclosed. The seat insert tool may include a seat insert guide that is removably attachable to a threaded rod at an end of the threaded rod, and seat insert jaw that is slidable onto the threaded rod. The seat insert guide may include a key. The seat insert jaw may include a first keyway on a first side of the seat insert jaw and a second keyway on a second side of the seat insert jaw. The first keyway of the seat insert jaw may engage the key of the seat insert guide when the seat insert tool is used to remove a seat insert from a valve, and the second keyway of the seat insert jaw may engage the key of the seat insert guide when the seat insert tool is used to install the seat insert in the valve.

Pivoting removal tool

A tool includes a shaft having a front end and a distal end; a displacement mechanism for extending and retracting the shaft; and one or more pivoting tool elements coupled to the tool shaft proximate to the distal end of the shaft, wherein the one or more pivoting tool elements includes a body having an upper element and a lower element, wherein the one or more pivoting tool elements includes a pivot point about which the upper element and lower element pivot while coupled to the shaft. A method includes extending the tool shaft and the pivoting tool element into a bore of the flow control device; pivoting the pivoting tool element while extending the tool shaft through a removable component of the flow control device; and removing the removable component from the flow control device by retracting the tool shaft through the bore of the choke.

A tool including a wrench attached to an elongate shaft to open and close a subterranean stop and waste valve. The wrench may be removably coupled to the shaft by way of an attach mechanism. Sometimes, the attach mechanism can be configured to couple with the distal end of a commercially available valve actuation tool. The instant tool can couple with the actuating handle of the stop and waste valve at a plurality of orientations of the tool's handle with respect to the valve's handle. A preferred wrench includes anti-stiction structure to facilitate insertion and retraction of the wrench with respect to an access port for the valve.

SEATDRIVER

The present invention is a novel backflow meter Seatdriver apparatus which is much like a screwdriver. Its novel direct connection of the Seat Head slot, Driver Shaft and the Driver Handle work together creating one apparatus known as the Seatdriver allowing for easy installation and removal of backflow valve seats. This apparatus functions as a two in one device providing a check valve seat connector on one end and a relief valve seat connector on the other end. The Seatdriver channels on the handle matches the seat part profile which reduces the Camming Out effect which in turn increases the hand torque force, increases thread alignments, and holds the valve part in place during the replacement.

A valve core removal tool can include a shaft having a proximal end and a distal end. A valve core gripper can be coupled to the distal end of the shaft and can include a first valve core engaging surface and an opposing second valve core engaging surface spaced therefrom. The first and second valve core engaging surfaces can be flexible and movable relative to each other between a first position, where the free ends of the first and second valve core engaging surfaces are spaced apart a first distance, and a second position, where the free ends of the first and second valve core engaging surfaces are spaced apart a second distance that is greater than the first distance. The first and second valve core engaging surfaces can be spring-biased in the first position for gripping a valve core between the first and second valve core engaging surfaces.

Puller, claw, and usage method of puller

A puller includes a first claw and a second claw arranged opposite to each other. The first claw includes a first pulling part, a first limiting part and a first connecting part. The first limiting part includes a first body part, a first notch part and a second notch part. The second claw includes a second pulling part, a second limiting part and a second connecting part. The second limiting part includes a second body part, a third notch part and a fourth notch part. A size of the second pulling part is smaller than or equal to a size of the second notch part.

Valve seat puller head assembly

A valve seat puller head assembly is comprised of seat puller head halves and springs. The seat puller head halves come together forming an opening. A pair of spring clips hold and secure the seat puller head halves together providing the outward force required to pre-position the tool (i.e., seat valve puller head assembly) in proper area for valve seat removal. In one embodiment, the valve seat puller head assembly further comprises an allthread having a tapered buttress engaged with the valve seat puller head via the opening of the valve seat puller head, eliminating thread clearance there between and greatly reducing the shear pressure at a root initiation area. In an alternative embodiment, a subzero temperature glycol solution within a portion of the valve seat puller head is circulated to cold pull heat from the valve seat puller head assembly and the valve seat which is in contact therewith.
