KNIFE WITH INTEGRATED BLADE SNAPPER
A knife includes a body, and a blade slider slidably mounted within the body, the blade slider configured to hold and slidably move a blade relative to the body. The knife further includes a blade snapper pivotally coupled to the body, positioned such that when the blade slider selectively positions the blade to be engaged by the blade snapper, pivotal movement of the blade snapper imparts a force on a blade segment of the blade to detach the blade segment from the blade.
Retractable utility knife
A utility knife configured with a retractable cutting blade that is extended and retracted by a blade actuation mechanism. The blade actuation mechanism includes a slider button assembly and a blade carriage assembly that are operably connected in variety of configurations, including a configuration with a rack-and-pinion arrangement between the slider button assembly and the blade carriage assembly. The rack-and-pinion blade actuation mechanism is configured to automatically retract the cutting blade as the cutting blade is lifted from the cutting surface.
Utility knife with dual blades
The present utility model discloses a utility knife with dual blades, comprising a housing having an opening at both ends, a blade carrier which is mounted and is movable within the housing, a movement assembly connected to the blade carrier for driving the blade carrier to respectively move in a direction towards both ends of the housing, wherein it further comprises a stop member. The blade carrier is provided with an abutment portion thereon, and the stop member has a stop portion being able to change its position with respect to the abutment portion, so that the blade carrier can move in a single direction so as to prevent the blade carrier from accidentally sliding and pushing the blade out to injure a user.
Retractable cutting tool
The present invention provides a retractable cutting tool, which includes: a cutting tool housing, the interior thereof forming a cavity; a blade exit portal, penetrating through the cutting tool housing and communicating with the cavity; a blade holder, moved or locked in the cutting tool housing; a blade, mounted to the blade holder and disposed opposite the blade exit portal; when the blade holder is moved, the front end of the blade protrudes out of the cutting tool housing or retracts into the cutting tool housing through the blade exit portal; a blade holder moving device, for moving the blade holder in the cutting tool housing; and a protrusion length control device, for controlling the protrusion length of the blade outside the cutting tool housing.
BOX CUTTER
A box cutter includes a handle, a holder and a linkage. The handle includes a front slot in communication with a space. The holder is formed with a boss and operable for holding a portion of a blade. The linkage includes a sliding element formed with a pusher. The linkage is operable to move the sliding element toward the holder to abut the pusher against the boss to move the holder toward the front slot to extend a pointed end of the blade from the space through the front slot when the boss is located between the front slot and the pusher. The pusher is biased from the boss to allow the holder to return to its original position when the pusher is located between the front slot and the boss.
UTILITY INSTRUMENT AND A METHOD OF USING SAME
A utility instrument is in the form of a cutting tool suitable for fitting onto a user's finger. The tool has a blade and a sheath, both coupled to a mounting structure. The blade and sheath are pivotable with respect to each other. A user can wear the tool on a finger about a finger joint. The user can bend the finger to set the tool to an open condition to expose the blade for use, and can stretching the finger to set the tool to a closed condition to safely shade the blade using the sheath. The tool may further have a housing for fully receiving the blade. The blade may extend out of the housing for use, and may be retracted into the housing for safety.
Methods and Apparatuses for Material Cutting
A portable, non-invasive, multipurpose cutting device requiring minimal manual manipulation. The device comprises a handle, at least one bearing, and a base. Some devices contain a blade in various configurations. The device makes cutting material precise, easy, and fun. Guides and accessories make the device appealing and interactive.
PACKAGING FOR RETRACTABLE HAND TOOL
A packaging card for a tool comprising a fixed member and a movable member that is selectively movable relative to the fixed member includes a tool engaging region coupling the packaging card to the movable member such that movement of the movable member relative to the fixed member moves the card relative to the fixed member. The card also includes a deformation region that tears or deforms upon application of a separation force sufficient to remove the packaging card from the tool. Another packaging card for a tool having a housing with front and side apertures includes a front flange receivable in the front aperture of the tool, a side flange insertable into the side aperture, and a hook catchable on an interior of the housing to deter removal of the packaging card from the tool until sufficient force is applied to overcome a holding power of the hook.
Cutting device
A cutting device is disclosed. The cutting device has a first housing member, a second housing member that is removably attachable to the first housing member to form a housing, and a carriage that is movably disposed in the housing, the carriage including a first attachment portion, which is disposed at a first portion of the carriage, and a second attachment portion, which is disposed at a second portion of the carriage that is disposed away from the first portion of the carriage. The cutting device also has an exterior member disposed at an exterior of the housing and attached to the carriage via an aperture disposed in one of the first housing member and the second housing member, and a cutting member that is removably attachable to the first attachment portion at the first portion of the carriage.
Safety utility knives and methods
A safety utility knife includes a pair of blades at one end of a handle. The cutting edges of both blades are configured to be shielded by a guard member. The guard member is movable with relation to the blade member.
