A system and method for aligning and installing graphical dies onto an embossing press or foil stamping press is provided. The system includes a number of die support panels having a number of threaded openings disposed in columns and rows in a grid like fashion and identified with x and y axis indicia. The system also includes a number of dies with a number of apertures each identified with a pair of x and y axis indicia. Fasteners and indicia are used to align and attach the dies to the die support panels in a predetermined position. The system preferable further comprises one or more adjusters used to make minute positioning adjustments to the die after it is installed on the panel.

Facer for end fusion of polyolefin pipes

A facer facing the ends of polyolefin pipes for butt fusion is modular in the sense that it employs three types of modules, a drive unit, two blade holders and a motor assembly, that are separable from one another and each independently light enough to be hand-lifted along walls and up to ceilings. The drive unit module is adjustable to accommodate different guide rail spacings. The blade holder modules are interchangeable to accommodate different diameters of pipe. The motor assembly module has multispeed capability to accommodate the total area of material to be faced. Each module can be exchanged or modified without use of tools to change the geometry of the assembled facer to accommodate different fusion machines and/or diameters of pipe within working spaces dictated by the diameter of the pipe and not by a fixed geometry of a facer.

MULTI-ADAPTIVE FAST LOADING ATTACHED AIR-COOLED DUST REMOVAL EQUIPMENT

Multi-adaptive fast loading attached air-cooled dust removal equipment is disclosed. The equipment is mainly composed of five parts: a spindle clamping mechanism, a link mechanism, a bearing connecting mechanism, an axial telescopic mechanism and a dust treatment mechanism. The equipment is connected with a tool holder through an axial connecting mechanism and installed on a machine tool. The axial telescopic mechanism forms a cavity with a processing surface, the gas flow generated by a negative pressure vacuum cleaner forms negative pressure in the cavity, and the telescopic mechanism is fixed to a machine tool spindle housing through the link mechanism to prevent the rotation of the spindle from driving the equipment to rotate and interfere with a workpiece, finally realizing rapid collection and treatment of chips.

Knife assemblies for slicing machines and machines equipped therewith

Knife assemblies adapted for use in slicing machines. Such a knife assembly includes a knife holder having a support surface that defines a leading edge of the knife holder and a trailing end spaced from the leading edge, an insert disposed on the support surface so that a leading edge thereof projects beyond the leading edge of the knife holder and a trailing end thereof is secured to the knife holder, a knife clamped to the knife holder so that the insert is between the knife and the support surface. The trailing end of the insert is secured to the knife holder as a result of the trailing end being received in a slot defined in the trailing end of the support surface, or with posts protruding from the support surface that engage slots defined in the trailing end of the insert.

Vacuum assist cutting and anvil cylinders

A vacuum assist anvil cutting die set includes a cutting cylinder and an anvil cylinder. The cutting cylinder has an outer diameter surface with a cutting blade and a blade cavity adjacent to the cutting blade. The cutting cylinder has a vacuum port in communication with the blade cavity and is adapted and configured to be connected to a vacuum source to apply a vacuum to the blade cavity via the vacuum port. The anvil cylinder has an outer diameter surface with an anvil pin projecting from the outer diameter surface of the anvil cylinder. The anvil pin having a diameter and shape that closely approximates the blade cavity such that when a level of vacuum is applied to the cutting cylinder and the anvil cylinder is in rotational and linear register with the cutting cylinder, the anvil pin is insertable into the corresponding blade cavity in a manner to increase the level of vacuum of the blade cavity.

Produce pusher

A produce pusher for use in a produce slicer includes a T-bracket. The T-bracket includes a base plate and a projection. A first fin and a second fin of a plurality of fins extend parallel to and in contact with the projection. A third fin of the plurality of fins extends parallel to the first fin on a side of the first fin opposite the projection. A fourth fin of the plurality of fins extends parallel to the second fin on a side of the second fin opposite the projection. A first spacer of the plurality of spacers is positioned between the first and third fins and a second spacer of the plurality of spacers is positioned between the second and fourth fins. A fastener extends through and simultaneously applies a compressive force to the plurality of fins, plurality of spacers and the projection.

Blade assembly for cutting food

A blade assembly includes a blade support frame, and a plurality of V-shaped blades removably fastened to the blade support frame. The blade support frame has a food flow path extending downstream, and a plurality of blade mounts distributed around the food flow path. Each V-shaped blade has a first end portion connected to one of the blade mounts, a second end portion connected to another of the blade mounts, and an intermediate portion extending from the first end portion to the second end portion into the food flow path. At the first and second end portions of each V-shaped blade, a respective one of the blade mounts overlies both the upstream edge and the downstream edge of the V-shaped blade to inhibit the V-shaped blade from rotating when impacted by food.

BLADE HEAD FOR GRANULATING STRANDS OF MATERIAL AND GRANULATING APPARATUS HAVING SUCH A BLADE HEAD AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING SUCH A BLADE HEAD

A blade head for granulating strands of material comprises a blade carrier and at least one granulating blade fastened thereto. The respective granulating blade is fastened to a positioning component which bears against the blade carrier for the rough positioning of the granulating blade. For fine positioning purposes, at least one adjusting element bears against the respective granulating blade. The blade head permits simple, user-friendly and precise assembly and setting of the respective granulating blade.

Knife replacement tools and methods of using the same to remove knives from machines

Tools for replacing knives in cutting machines. The tools include a clamping body having a base, bracket, clamp, and knife support tab(s). The bracket has a flange portion spaced apart from an upper surface of the base. The clamp is coupled to the base for translating in translation directions transverse to a longitudinal axis of the base. The clamp has a lift tab on the same side of the base as a rear surface thereof, and a handle is secured to the flange portion of the bracket and located on the same side of the base as the lift tab. The support tab projects from the front surface of the base, and the clamp is biased toward the support tab so that the clamp and support tab create a knife gripping mechanism for clamping an edge of a knife against the tab.
