SHAPED SAW WIRE WITH CONTROLLED CURVATURE AT BENDS
A saw wire to cut hard and brittle materials is disclosed that comprises a steel wire that is provided with bends with segments in between. The average degree of bending of the bends is between 0.5% and 5%. Such a saw wire has a higher breaking load compared to saw wires having a conventional, higher average degree of bending. A method to measure the curvature is described as well as a process to make the inventive saw wire. The invention is applicable to any shaped saw wire for example a single crimped saw wire, a saw wire with at least two crimps in different planes, a saw wire with crimps rotating in a plane.
Sample preparation apparatus for direct numerical simulation of rock properties
A sample preparation apparatus and method of preparing a rock sample using such an apparatus, as useful in connection with the digital numerical simulation of properties of the rock. The disclosed apparatus includes a fixably mounted diamond wire cutter. Three linear translation stages are coupled to a specimen holder. One of the translation stages moves the specimen in a direction parallel to the plane of the cutting wire. The other two translation stages move the specimen in different directions from one another, and when actuated together, advance the specimen into the wire for short distances in a direction out of the plane of the cutting wire. Short piecewise linear cuts are made in the specimen, to provide a sample of the desired shape with a small cross-section.

Cutting belt with a plurality of cable segments
The present disclosure pertains generally to cutting belts, in particular cutting belts having a cable. In certain aspects, this disclosure provides new cutting segments and cable arrangements for cutting belts. In some embodiments, the cutting belt has cable arrangements that resist rotation when under tension. Cutting belts having cable segments positioned radially outward of other cable segments, relative to the central opening of the cutting belt, around at least 60% of the length of the cutting belt, and cutting belts having cable segments with different twist directions are disclosed.

LINK ELEMENTS FOR IMPROVED FLEXIBLE ABRASIVE CUTTING TOOLS
An element for serial configuration with an adjacent element in an abrasive tool, wherein the element is arranged to be mounted on a flexible drive carrier having a drive direction D. The element comprising at least one protruding member extending in a direction parallel to the drive direction D. The at least one protruding member being configured to overlap with the adjacent element at least when the flexible drive carrier has a straight configuration, and to reduce a width of a gap G formed between the element and the adjacent element when the flexible drive carrier is configured bent in an arcuate form.

A Rotatable Cutting Chain Work Tool, A Wall Saw Arrangement Comprising Such A Work Tool, An Annular Member and A Method for Producing an Annular Member
A work tool (100) comprising: a cutting chain (110), a drive mechanism for driving the cutting chain (110), an annular member (120) arranged rotatably supported by one or more support rollers (130,140,150), wherein the annular member comprises a rim (230) adapted to support the cutting chain (110) during cutting, and a support wheel (160) arranged distanced from the annular member (120), wherein the cutting chain (110) is arranged supported on a rim segment (102) of the annular member (110) forming part of a cutting area of the tool (100) and supported on a rim segment (103) of the support wheel (160) in a direction away from the cutting area of the tool (100). An annular member and a method of producing an annular member are also disclosed.
Inclined cut GBS leg
The present invention relates to a gravity based structure 5 with a topside 2 on at least one hollow concrete platform leg 1 with a platform leg wall and a circular cross section. The at least one platform leg, includes an upper leg portion (4) cut off from a lower leg portion 3. The lower leg portion 3 has an upper sloped cut surface 10 inclined at an angle in the range of 1°-10° off a horizontal axis. The upper leg portion 4 has an upper leg sloped cut surface inclined at the same angle as the lower leg sloped cut surface 10 of the lower leg portion 3 whereby the angles are complementary, the sloped cut surfaces forming an inner and an outer obtuse cone with a common vertical longitudinal axis. Furthermore, the invention relates to method of forming a conical cut through a concrete platform leg of a GBS.
HORIZONTAL MULTI DIAMOND WIRE SAW CUTTING MACHINE
A horizontal multi diamond wire saw cutting machine in a closed loop running in a coaxial motion toward stone blocks allowing a cutting force direction to each other, the cutting direction of DW is in horizontal motion-whether stone blocks toward machine or machine running toward blocks- and tension system made of one tension pulley because of one DW running within machine, in addition the running of DW is by several drive wheels, set of drive wheels run by one shaft in clockwise motion, another set run by another shaft in counter clockwise motion. Each drive wheel supported by sprag clutch which allow pulling DW for the cutting speed and allow DW to be tensioned in all drive wheels by one tensioned pulley which is tightened by linear stroke by a jack with a set tension value. Further, a portable machine to be held within block and cutting execution.
