The invention relates to a method and to an assembly for recycling plastic materials, comprising the following processing steps: a) reprocessing the raw material, wherein the material, if necessary, is comminuted and brought into a fluid-like form and heated and permanently mixed, while preserving the lumpiness and pourability thereof, and optionally the viscosity thereof is increased and/or it is degassed, softened, dried and/or crystallized; b) melting the reprocessed material, at least so much that filtration is possible; c) filtering the melt in order to remove impurities; d) homogenizing the filtered melt; e) degassing the homogenized melt; and f) discharging and/or subsequently processing the melt, such as by granulation, blown film processing, with said processing steps being carried out consecutively in the order listed.

A plant (1) and method for recovering plastic materials of post-consumption materials, such as vehicle bumpers and tanks, in the plant, downstream of the volumetric reduction grinder (2), there is provided an intermediate grinder (6) and the washing vat (9) and the centrifuge (12) additionally being arranged upstream of the windmill/granulator (14), while in the method, an intermediate grinding step is arranged upstream of the grinding/granulation step and a subsequent washing step and separation in the vat of the parts of foreign materials through the difference of specific weight, including ferrous, non-ferrous materials and alloys thereof, of the material made of intermediate size, before the grinding/granulation step through windmill/granulator, wherein the washing and centrifugation water is subjected to a continuous purification cycle. In order to increase the productivity of the plant and reducing the maintenance times, the conveying elements for transporting the material are provided mobile, mounted on swivel wheels.

The invention relates to a continuous method for removing a solvent from a suspension or solution comprising a target polymer, wherein the method comprises the steps of delivering said suspension or solution to an extruder, wherein said extruder comprises a size classification unit that is designed to be permeable for the solvent and impermeable for the target polymer; and filtration and extrusion of said suspension or solution in said extruder. The invention also relates to a plastic waste recycling system for recycling a target polymer. Furthermore, the invention also relates to a polymer material obtained by this recycling method.

The embodiments relate to a polyester film, to a process for preparing the same, and to a process for regenerating a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) container using the same. The polyester film has excellent seaming characteristics and recyclability by virtue of controlled crystallinity, whereby clumping rarely occurs even if it is thermally treated for a long period of time in the regeneration process.

A method for recycling of laminated glass is disclosed. The laminated glass comprises at least one glass layer and at least one polyvinyl butyral (PVB). The method comprises mechanical removal of at least part of the glass, placing residual waste with glass particles in a vat comprising a separation fluid to produce a mixture of glass particles and one polyvinyl butyral (PVB) pieces from the residual waste, from which the one polyvinyl butyral (PVB) pieces can be screened off, washed, and dried for reuse. The separation fluid comprises water and butyl diglycol.

A method of producing a granulated product from photopolymer printing plate materials. The method includes the steps of (a) sorting the photopolymer printing plate materials based on an identifiable property, wherein the photopolymer printing plate materials comprise one or more photopolymer layers; (b) grinding the photopolymer printing plate materials to particles; and (c) screening the particles to remove particles above a certain size and create the granulated product.

System and methods for recycling a material comprising a polymer in an expanded state is disclosed. The system can include a shredder, a heating chamber operatively connected to the shredder, a condenser operatively connected to the heating chamber, a solvent tank operatively connected to the condenser, and a circulation unit operatively connected to the solvent tank and the heating chamber.

The invention relates to a process and an installation to produce a monovinylaromatic polymer (3) comprising post-consumer recycled polystyrene (PCR-PS) wherein the process comprises the steps of mixing the PCR-PS (5) and the monovinylaromatic monomer (7) within a dissolver (9) to dissolve the PCR-PS (5) in the monovinylaromatic monomer (7) so as to produce a polymerization mixture (13); and a step of filtering the polymerization mixture (13) that includes continuously redirecting at least a part of the stream of the filtered polymerization mixture (17) back to the dissolver (9) and mixing it with the polymerization mixture (13) so as to continuously reduce the content of insoluble material in the polymerization mixture (13) contained in the dissolver (9).

An apparatus for forming a plastic article is disclosed, comprising at least one intake conveyor to receive a plurality of plastic material and transfer the plurality of plastic material to at least one shredder to shred the plurality of plastic material. At least one stage conveyor transfers plastic from the at least one shredder to at least one load conveyor to transfer shredded plastic to at least one weigh apparatus. At least one boiler system provides pressure and heat to at least one blocker cell to process the shredded plastic to a block or similar article. At least one offtake conveyor receives and expels the block.
