CAUL BODY AND A METHOD FOR FORMING A COMPOSITE STRUCTURE
A caul body for forming a composite structure comprises a laminate having at least one carbon layer and at least one silicone layer. The at least one silicone layer defines an outer surface of the laminate. The laminate has a first region and a second region. A thickness of the at least one carbon layer in the first region is greater than a thickness of the at least one carbon layer in the second region. The first region has a hardness value greater than a hardness value of the second region.
Mold, method for producing mold, anti-reflection film and method for producing anti-reflection film
A manufacturing method of a mold includes the steps of: providing an aluminum base in the shape of a hollow cylinder which is made of a AlMgSi based aluminum alloy, the aluminum base being mechanically mirror-finished; performing a frosting treatment on a surface of the aluminum base with an aqueous solution which contains a salt of hydrogen fluoride and ammonium; thereafter, forming an inorganic material layer on the surface of the aluminum base and forming an aluminum film on the inorganic material layer, thereby forming a mold base; and alternately repeating anodization and etching on a surface of the aluminum film of the mold base, thereby forming an inverted moth-eye structure which has a plurality of micro recessed portions.
Lens heatsink insert
Techniques disclosed herein relate to molding inserts with improved cooling performance. A mold insert includes a body and a plurality of heat sink elements coupled to the body. The body includes an area with a recessed surface that has different depths in a plurality of different regions. The plurality of heat sink elements is configured to provide different thermal resistances in the plurality of different regions of the mold insert, where a thermal resistance of the mold insert in a region with a higher recessed surface depth is lower than a thermal resistance of the mold insert in a region with a lower recessed surface depth. In some embodiments, the plurality of heat sink elements form cooling channels that are configured to conduct a cooling fluid from regions of the mold insert with higher recessed surface depths to regions of the mold insert with lower recessed surface depths.
Injection Mold Insert and Method of Manufacturing the Same
An injection mold insert includes a first metal structure and a second metal structure. The first metal structure has a first hardness and a first thermal conductivity. The second metal structure is wrapped in the first metal structure and has a second hardness less than that of the first hardness, and a second thermal conductivity higher than the first thermal conductivity. The first metal structure and the second metal structure are sintered together without layering or infiltration.
Foam molding device
A foam molding device includes an outer mold unit and an inner mold unit. The outer mold unit includes an outer upper mold and an outer lower mold that cooperatively define a receiving space. The inner mold unit is detachably disposed within the receiving space, and includes an inner upper mold and an inner lower mold. The inner upper mold and the inner lower mold cooperatively define a foaming space adapted for foam molding a foam material into a foamed object.
CHAMBER FOR STEAM MOULDING OF EXPANDED OR CELLULAR MATERIALS OR FOAMS
The invention relates to a chamber for steam moulding expanded or cellular materials or foams comprising an enclosure comprising at least two parts (3a, 3b), at least one part being movable to allow it to be opened and closed, and the surfaces of which are partially covered with an insulating coating, in particular the inner surface of the enclosure or the outer surface of the steam inlets.
Device and method for cycle- and cost-optimized thermal transformation of hose blanks
A device and a method for the thermal reshaping of hose blanks from preferably pre-extruded elastic raw hose material, wherein during the reshaping, the hose blank is arranged in a shell-like, single- or multi-piece molding tool with a hollow body, wherein the tempering of the molding tool that is necessary for reshaping occurs by means of clamp-like tempering elements which are shaped congruently to the outer surface of the mold and which close form-fittingly over the mold, while the molding tool itself does not comprise any tempering system at all, in particular no ducts or other hollow spaces for circulating a tempering medium, and wherein the temperature of each tempering element is kept constant during the process, while, to modify the temperature of the molding tool, a different tempering element with a correspondingly constant temperature is positioned against the molding tool.
Low-cost tooling and method for manufacturing the same
A tool including a tool body, the tool body including a substrate having a tool-side surface, an intermediate layer positioned over the tool-side surface, and an outer layer positioned over the intermediate layer, the outer layer including a metallic material.
REUSABLE MOLD FOR INJECTION MOLDING AND MOLDING METHOD
A reusable mold for injection molding and molding method includes a reusable mold member, a mold cavity defined in the mold member, and at least one heat sink recess defined in the mold member for accommodating a heat sink material therein for rapidly removing heat from the mold cavity when the mold member is used to injection mold a molded part. The reusable mold injection molds a molded part and rapidly removes heat from the mold cavity via a heat sink material accommodated in the at least one heat sink recess.
Method for producing non-metal self-heatable molds
A multi-layered composite mold structure (10) is provided. The multi-layered composite mold structure (10) comprises a multi-layered member including (a) at least one metal heating layer (11); (b) at least one metal heat distribution layer (13); (c) at least one laminate composite layer (12); and (d) a surface layer (14). A process for preparing the multi-layered composite mold structure is also provided.
