A vat heating device is provided, including a vat and a heater. The vat has a bottom plate. The vat is used to accommodate a photosensitive resin. The heater is disposed on the bottom plate, adjacent to the photosensitive resin. The heater is used to heat the photosensitive resin. The heater is on an optical path of a light source for curing the photosensitive resin. A photocuring three-dimensional molding system containing the above vat heating device is also provided.

A system for controlling the temperature of a film before and/or during application, the system including: a heat source for heating a film; and stretch rollers; wherein the heat source heats the film from an ambient temperature to a temperature from about 2° C. to about 40° C. above the ambient temperature, wherein the film is heated prior to or simultaneous to being stretched by the stretch rollers, and wherein the ambient temperature is below 15° C. The preheating system may be used to enhance binding and sealing properties of stretch films used for wrapping palletized products in a reduced temperature environment. Other embodiments of the preheating film system, and methods for its use, are described herein.
Techniques for integrated preheating and coating of powder material in additive fabrication and related systems and methods
Techniques for improved efficiency of sintering in additive fabrication are described. According to some aspects, mechanisms for depositing and leveling source material are combined with a mechanism for heating the material. In some embodiments, one or more heating elements may be arranged to lead and/or follow a material deposition mechanism such that heat may be applied to the build region in concert with deposition of material. As a result of this technique, the heating and depositing steps may be performed closer together in time and/or heat may be applied more directly to the material than in conventional systems. As a result, greater control over material temperature may be achieved, thereby avoiding excess temperature exposure and subsequent undesirable changes to the material.

A heat sink for a 3D printer includes a storage tank, a pipe loop, a pump, a heat dissipation unit, and a release film. The storage tank is configured to contain a printing material. The pipe loop is connected to the storage tank. The pump is connected to the pipe loop and configured to pump the printing material from the storage tank, so that the printing material circulates through the pipe loop. The heat dissipation unit is connected to the pipe loop. The printing material is pumped into the pipe loop, then subjected to heat dissipation by the heat dissipation unit, and re-injected into the storage tank successively. The release film is disposed at a bottom of the storage tank.

A method for forming a composite part of a gas turbine engine. The method includes assembling the composite part of a first composite material and a second composite material. The second composite material defines an outer surface of the composite part, and is selected to be curable at a cure temperature generated by heat from operation of the engine. The first composite material is selected to have an operating temperature limit less than the cure temperature. The method includes placing the composite part within the engine so that, in use, the second composite material is cured by exposure to the heat generated from operation of the engine. The second composite material thermally shields the first composite material from the heat generated from operation of the engine. The method includes operating the engine to cure the second composite material.
