Neural network thermal behavior predictions

Examples of a thermal behavior prediction method are described herein. In some examples of the thermal behavior prediction method, a predicted heat map of a layer corresponding to a three-dimensional (3D) model is computed using at least one neural network. The predicted heat map is computed based on a contone map corresponding to the 3D model.

Method and apparatus for manufacturing a wind turbine blade component with uniform temperature curing

A molding apparatus for manufacturing a wind turbine blade component includes a main mold body (30) and a flexible bladder (38). The main mold body includes a shape defining surface (32) for receiving composite material forming the blade component and a heat reservoir (40) for heating the blade component during curing. The flexible bladder overlays and conforms to the shape of the blade component and is configured to receive heated liquid for heating the blade component during curing. One or both of the main mold body and the flexible bladder is divided into a plurality of zones (58, 66) that are independently controlled by a controller (70) to maintain a generally uniform temperature of the blade component at each zone.

A method of producing an object from a polymer powder using a laser sintering system, whereby the laser sintering system introduces heat energy to solidify select points of a layer of polymer powder according to build data of the object and adjusts the heat energy according to solidification of select points of other layers.

PROCESS FOR MOLDING A THERMOSETTING RESIN

A method of molding a thermosetting resin, in particular of the epoxy resin type, in which a first mold is filled with the resin while causing the temperature of the resin to vary in application of a first temperature program, without exceeding the Tg of the resin. After the first mold has been filled, the resin is put under pressure while causing the temperature of the resin to vary in application of a second temperature program, without exceeding Tg, and a drop in the pressure exerted by the resin on the mold is detected with the instant at which this pressure presents a break of slope being identified as the instant t1. A second mold is filled with the thermosetting resin in application of the first temperature program. After the second mold has been filled, the resin is put under pressure in application of the second temperature program until an instant t2 close to t1. As from t2, the temperature of the resin is increased to exceed Tg.

SHAPING APPARATUS AND SHAPING METHOD

A shaping apparatus includes a storage section that stores in advance a first relationship between a temperature of a shaping material and a heating time at a time at which oxidation of the shaping material starts as the shaping material is heated; and a control section that estimates a timing at which the oxidation of a material layer starts, based on an acquisition result from a temperature acquisition section, a measurement result from a time measurement section, and the first relationship stored in the storage section when the material layer on a conveyance body is preheated by a preheating section, and reduces a front surface temperature of the material layer on the conveyance body before the oxidation of the material layer starts.
