Molded article and manufacturing method for same
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a molded article and a manufacturing method for a molded article by which it is possible to mitigate deformation of an opening. The present invention provides a molded article comprising a cylindrical base and an opening provided in the base, wherein a rib is provided adjacent to the opening. The present invention provides a manufacturing method for a molded article that includes a molded body formation step for forming a molded body having a cylindrical portion provided at one end thereof with an occlusion by molding a melted resin, and a cut-off step for cutting off the occlusion by cutting the cylindrical portion, wherein in the cut-off step, the cutting is performed in a state where a side wall of the cylindrical portion is warped in-plane by an external force.
POLYMERIC MATERIAL FOR CONTAINER
A vessel is configured to hold a product in an interior region formed in the vessel. The vessel is formed using a blow-molding process in which a multiple layer parison is blow molded to form the vessel. The multiple layer parison is formed in an extrusion process in which a number of extruders are arranged to co-extrude associated inner and outer parisons to establish the multiple layer parison.
Resin-laminated board
A resin-laminated board includes a front-side sheet and a backside sheet layered on each other with a hollow part interposed therebetween. The backside sheet is recessed toward the hollow part to provide a plurality of first recesses and a plurality of second recesses. The front-side sheet and the backside sheet are connected to each other with plural ribs by welding bottoms of the first recesses and the second recesses to the front-side sheet. The resin-laminated board has a thin-plate part having the first recesses with small depth and a thick-plate part having the second recesses with large depth, and the first recesses and the second recesses are arranged at substantially the same pitch.
ANTAGONIST OF THE FIBROBLAST GROWTH FACTOR RECEPTOR 3 (FGFR3) FOR USE IN THE TREATMENT OR THE PREVENTION OF SKELETAL DISORDERS LINKED WITH ABNORMAL ACTIVATION OF FGFR3
The present invention relates to the treatment or prevention of skeletal disorders, at particular skeletal diseases, developed by patients that display abnormal increased activation of the fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR3), in particular by expression of a constitutively activated mutant of FGFR3.
FUEL TANK FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A fuel tank for a motor vehicle, which can be designed as a blow-molded hollow plastics tank, into the interior of which a functional component support is inserted, to which are fastenable functional components, for example a fuel pump, a level indicator or valves, and which is supported on opposite inner sides of the fuel tank wall via at least two strut arrangements spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction of the support. The functional component support has at least one compensating portion which is positioned between the two strut arrangements and with which a length compensation between the functional component support and the fuel tank takes place in order to dissipate mechanical component stresses.
FUEL TANK FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A fuel tank and a method for producing a fuel tank for a motor vehicle. The fuel tank is designed as a blow-molded hollow plastic member, into the interior of which a functional component support is introduced. The support, to which functional components, such as a fuel pump, a level indicator or valves can be secured, includes at least one supporting leg to be supported on an inner face of the hollow plastic member delimiting the interior thereof. The supporting leg of the functional component support is designed to include a connection point to which a functional component can be connected.
THERMOPLASTIC POLYMER COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR MOLDING THE SAME
A thermoplastic polymer composition comprises a polyethylene polymer composition and a salt of bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-2,3-dicarboxylic acid. The polyethylene polymer composition can have a Melt Relaxation Ratio of 1.5 or greater. A method for molding a thermoplastic polymer composition comprises the steps of (a) providing an apparatus comprising a die and a mold cavity; (b) providing the thermoplastic polymer composition described above; (c) heating the thermoplastic polymer composition to melt the thermoplastic polymer composition; (d) extruding the molten thermoplastic polymer composition through the die to form a parison; (e) capturing the parison in the mold cavity; (f) blowing a pressurized fluid into the parison to inflate the parison and conform it to the interior surface of the mold cavity; (g) allowing the molded article to cool so that the molded article retains its shape; and (h) removing the molded article from the mold cavity.
Thermoformed Articles Made From Bio-Based Polymers and Compositions Therefore
Biodegradable thermoformed articles are disclosed. The thermoformed articles are formed from a biodegradable polymer composition. The polymer composition contains a cellulose ester polymer, a plasticizer, and one or more other additives. Thermoformed articles can be made in accordance with the present disclosure having low haze and high clarity.
IMPROVED AIR PRESSURE CONTROL FOR CORRUGATOR
In the manufacture of double-walled corrugated extruded pipe it is desirable to form an integral connecting cuff that is of a single wall thickness and typically of a large diameter. The mold blocks and process parameters for forming of the cuff as part of an otherwise double-walled pipe requires a transition as the cuff moves past the die outlets. The present invention allows for accurate sensing and control of air pressure and temperature as the cuff moves past the die outlets. Improvements in both the die tooling and the method of manufacture are disclosed.
MULTI-LAYER DIRECT BLOW BOTTLE AND PRODUCTION PROCESS THEREFOR
A multi-layer direct blow bottle in which a metallic layer containing a metal pigment having an average thickness of not more than 1 μm dispersed in a resin is formed at a position where it is visible from the outer surface side.
