The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for cooling. An exemplary apparatus includes an annular cooling ring operable for receiving a flow of a molten film bubble and expelling a flow of cooling gas, the annular cooling ring comprising a middle lip and an adjacent radially spaced apart outer lip, the middle lip having an extended length longer than the outer lip, a radially inner surface of the outer lip and a radially outer surface of the middle lip define a channel operable to allow the flow of cooling gas along the radially outer surface of the middle lip, wherein the middle lip is located radially intermediate the channel and the molten film bubble, and wherein the middle lip isolates the molten film bubble from the flow of cooling gas until the flow of cooling gas passes beyond the extended length of the middle lip.

The present invention further relates to a process for producing the film according to the invention, to the use thereof and to a process for recycling the polyester film according to the invention.

More PCMs can be directly injected into a fiber core, so that a textile product has a stronger sense of cold, the sense of continuous cold of the product is greatly improved, the requirement of users for cold experience is better met, and the market blank is filled.

The method includes: removing moisture in a mixed liquid to form a to-be-processed raw material, and supplying the to-be-processed raw material to a spinning device, where the spinning device heats the to-be-processed raw material in different stages, to make the to-be-processed raw material form a semi-molten state and be extruded toward a discharge outlet, to spin at least one fibril; cooling the at least one fibril, to form a first wire; if hardness of the first wire is not in a hardness range, selecting at least two discontinuous heating zones located in the spinning device to perform temperature adjustment; stretching, heating, and re-stretching the first wire, to form a second wire; winding the second wire around a drum; and stretching, drying, and re-stretching the second wire, to form a final wire product.

A mechanically and piezoelectrically anisotropic polymer thin film may be formed by gel casting a solution that includes a crystallizable polymer and a liquid solvent. The solvent may be configured to interact with the polymer to facilitate chain alignment and, in some examples, create a higher crystalline content within the cast thin film. The thin film may also include up to approximately 90 wt. % of an additive and may be characterized by a bimodal molecular weight distribution of a crystallizable polymer where the molecular weight of the additive may be less than the molecular weight of the crystallizable polymer. In some examples, the polymer(s) and the additive(s) may be independently selected from vinylidene fluoride, trifluoroethylene, chlorotrifluoroethylene, hexafluoropropene, vinyl fluoride, etc. The anisotropic polymer thin film may be characterized by an electromechanical coupling factor (k.sub.31) of at least 0.1.

A biaxially stretched polyester film and a method for producing the same are provided. The biaxially stretched polyester film includes a polyester resin base layer and a matte layer. The polyester resin base layer includes: (1) 50 to 95 wt % of a polyester resin base material, and an intrinsic viscosity of the polyester resin base material being between 0.5 and 0.8 dL/g; and (2) 0.01 to 5 wt % of a high viscosity polyester resin material, and an intrinsic viscosity of the high viscosity polyester resin material being between 0.9 and 1.1 dL/g. The matte layer includes: (1) 50 to 95 wt % of a polyester resin matrix material, and an intrinsic viscosity of the polyester resin matrix material being between 0.5 and 0.8 dL/g; and (2) 0.3 to 40 wt % of a plurality of filler particles, and the filler particles having an average particle size of between 0.15 μm and 10 μm.

Further, the method includes a step of biaxial orientation of the composite film thus co-extruded. Therein, the layer (a) contains or consists of a thermoplastic resin. The layer (b) contains or consists of a polyvinylidene chloride (PVdC) resin. The layer (c) contains or consists of a resin, preferably sealable, in particular heat-sealable resin. Therein, any crosslinking of the composite film by means of radioactive radiation, in particular by means of beta, gamma, X-ray and/or electron irradiation, is omitted during the manufacturing of the composite film and/or thereafter.

There is provided a multilayer structure comprising at least a barrier resin layer (X) and an inorganic barrier layer (Y) with a thickness of 500 nm or less which is adjacent to the barrier resin layer (X), wherein the layer (X) is made of a resin composition (x) comprising an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) and a polyamide (B) in a mass ratio (A/B) of 55/45 to 98/2, and the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A) has an ethylene content of 20 to 46 mol % and a saponification degree of 90 mol % or more. Thus, there can be provided a multilayer structure having excellent gas barrier properties and appearance even after being subjected to stretching process or retorting process followed by bending process, and a packaging material for retort therewith.
