Aircraft assembly
A wing leading edge assembly is disclosed including a leading edge panel and a cover panel located over the structural component. The cover panel has a thermoplastic layer with an inner surface. A thermoplastic fastening member extends through the structural component and is welded to the inner surface so that the structural component is fastened between the inner surface and the fastening member.
Connection element and method for introducing a connection element
The invention relates to a connection element, in particular a thermal adhesive bonding boss, to be introduced into at least one component, in particular a hollow chamber component, in particular a plate-shaped hollow chamber component which has hollow chambers, under the effect of pressure and rotation, comprising a main part which comprises a thermoplastic synthetic material. The connection element has a longitudinal axis and is designed to rotate about the longitudinal axis, and the connection element has an upper face with a tool placement point and a lower face which faces away from the upper face, wherein the connection element has an expanding portion made of a thermally activatable expandable material on the main part on a circumferential surface extending between the upper face and the lower face.
PRIMER-EQUIPPED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN MEMBER, AND RESIN-RESIN CONJUGATE
A primer-attached thermoplastic resin material having a thermoplastic resin material and one or plural primer layers laminated on the thermoplastic resin material, wherein at least one layer of the primer layers is an in-situ polymerizable composition layer of an in-situ polymerizable composition polymerized on the thermoplastic resin material.
Liquid storage bottle and method of manufacturing the same
A liquid storage bottle includes a bottle body having a resin-made first cylindrical part at one end, the first cylindrical part having an opening at its front end, and a tubular nozzle for pouring out the liquid contained in the inside of the bottle body by way of the opening, the tubular nozzle having a resin-made second cylindrical part bonded to the bottle body. The inner peripheral surface of the second cylindrical part is welded to the outer peripheral surface of the first cylindrical part. The outer peripheral surface of the first cylindrical part is provided with an annular groove extending in the circumferential direction and the annular groove is made to contain a part of the resin that is molten during the bonding operation.
VIBRATION WELDED ARTICLE, VIBRATION WELDING APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING VIBRATION WELDED ARTICLE
A vibration welded article includes an outer member having a substantially V-shaped portion, and an inner member that is vibration welded to the outer member. The outer member includes a substantially plate-shaped base surface portion, and a slope portion formed obliquely relative to the base surface portion. The slope portion has an outer member opening which is opened to attach another component. The inner member includes a first joint surface portion that is vibration welded to the base surface portion, a second joint surface portion that is vibration welded to the slope portion, and at least one protruding portion that protrudes from the second joint surface portion toward the base surface portion.

Conduit coupling apparatus and method
A coupling may be configured to receive and secure an insertion end of a conduit. An outer surface of the insertion end of the conduit may be smooth and free of grooves, flanges and beads. A first member of the coupling may define a first passageway. A second member of the coupling may define a second passageway. The first member may be in engagement with the second member. A gripping ring having an inner edge defining a series of teeth may be disposed within the second member. A support ring and O-ring may also be disposed within the second member.
BOND STRIP TECHNOLOGY
A process for joining polymer molded parts. Providing a first part made from a first material and a second part made from a same or different first material. Attaching an infrared or other thermal bonding material to at least one of the parts in a place for the parts to be joined. Thereafter, heating the at least on infrared bonding material with an infrared heating element and pressing the first part into contact with the second part wherein a bond is formed.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR JOINING WORKPIECES
A method for joining two workpiece parts during a manufacturing process includes forming a first workpiece part having a first mating surface and forming a second workpiece part having a second mating surface. The first and second workpiece part may be separately distributed or may be joined for distribution. To join the parts, an energy director is formed in the first mating surface by an automated process, the energy director comprising an end portion projecting from the first mating surface such that the projecting end portion of the energy director engages the second mating surface when the first and second workpiece parts are brought into engagement with each other. In one example, the first and second workpiece parts are ultrasonically welded by pressing the parts together while vibrating at least one of the first workpiece part or the second workpiece part.
