INFLATABLE BLADDER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method of manufacturing a fluidic actuator that comprising generating a member that includes a web and a pair of cavities and closing the cavities by closing one or more respective openings of the cavities to generate a first closed bladder and a second closed bladder.
REINFORCED THERAPEUTIC WRAP AND METHOD
A therapy wrap for treatment of at least a portion of an animate body having improved kink resistance. The therapy wrap may be selectively reinforced for improved kink resistance in only a portion of the wrap. The reinforcement may decrease the kink radius. The wrap may include a kink reducer in all or only a selected kink-prone region. The kink reducer may be selectively configured attachment points or spot welds. The therapy wrap may include a reinforcement layer of one or more discrete reinforcement members. The wrap may be formed by pre-tensioning the material layers while forming the fluid bladder and/or gas pressure bladder. The therapy wrap may be adapted to compensate for conditions that normally cause kinking of the wrap or buckling of the fluidic channels. Also disclosed are methods of manufacturing the wrap and methods of administering a temperature-controlled treatment to an anatomical body part.
Bleach compatible polyolefin mattress cover
A bleach compatible mattress cover made of a non-woven polyolefin material and defining an interior cavity. The interior cavity configured to receive a mattress structure which may include a first and second support structure disposed in the interior cavity. In certain embodiments, the mattress cover has a Moisture Vapor Transfer Rate of greater than or equal 400 to less than 10,000, 7500 or more particularly less than 5000 grams per square meter per day and a hydrostatic head of 100 cm or greater and passes ASTM 1670 and ASTM 1671.
METHOD OF REINFORCING A SEAM AND A PRODUCT WITH A REINFORCED SEAM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE METHOD
A method of reinforcing a seam on a body involves folding a seam allowance into a series of accordion folds to form a series of parallel reinforcement layers. The parallel reinforcement layers are of similar size and form a ridge. A ridge cap of flexible material is placed over the ridge. The ridge cap provides at least one further parallel reinforcement layer. The method involves securing the ridge cap and parallel reinforcement layers together with rows of stitching, with the stitching extending through all of the parallel reinforcement layers.
Device and method for manufacturing cylindrical member
A cylindrical member manufacturing device is provided. A rear end of an arm is rotatably supported by a base fixed to a rotation shaft coaxial with a drum shaft and separated from the drum shaft in a drum width direction; the arm is set to rotate in a direction so that a front end moves toward and away from an outer circumferential surface of a forming drum; and the base, the arm, and the rotation shaft are integrally rotated about the rotation shaft with the rotating forming drum with the front end moved toward the outer circumferential surface and the arm pressing a front end of a band-like rubber member disposed on the outer circumferential surface and holding a first end on the outer circumferential surface in order to wind the band-like rubber member around the outer circumferential surface and form the band-like rubber member into a cylindrical shape.
Masked Fabrication Inflatable Devices
A multi-layer bladder includes: a first bladder layer; a mask including a plurality of apertures; a second bladder layer bonded to the first bladder layer within the apertures in the mask and where the mask is not present between the first and second bladder layers, where the mask is configured to prevent bonding of the second bladder layer to the first bladder layer where the mask is present; and a fluid channel that is located between the first and second bladder layers and that extends to the mask from an outer edge of the multi-layer bladder.
SPORTS BALL HAVING ELECTRONICS AND METHOD FOR MAKING
A sports ball may include a bladder having one or more pockets attached thereto wherein the pockets have holes for allowing air to escape the pockets. The pockets may include insert(s) such as sensors, a battery or a microprocessor. The pockets may also include one or more damping members to further protect the insert(s).
SPORTS TRAINING BALL
A sports ball comprising a transparent outer wall surrounding a hollow cavity and defining a geometric center, and a central core object suspended at the geometric center of the hollow cavity. The ball may have the shape of a sphere having a center point, with the central core object suspended at the center point of the sphere. In other cases, the ball may be oblong or ellipsoid, with the central core object suspended at the center points of the respective major and minor axes of the ellipsoid. The transparent outer wall of the ball may be elastically deformable, and may be comprised of a transparent inflatable bladder contiguous with an inner surface of a transparent outer skin. The transparent outer skin may be comprised of a plurality of outer facets joined together, such as by sewing.
Method for the production of a pacifier teat
Method for the production of a pacifier teat and pacifier teat with a suction section forming a cavity, to which suction section a shaft adjoins, wherein an elastic hollow body having suction section and the shaft is pre-formed in an injection or in a dipping process and opposite wall sections of the pre-formed hollow body are connected with each other in the region of the shaft.
METHOD OF SEALING AN AIRTIGHT BLADDER FOR A KITE AND AN AIRTIGHT BLADDER FOR A KITE
An airtight bladder for kites and method of sealing an airtight bladder for kites. The bladder body has longitudinal edges sealed with a lap seam and ends sealed by a combination of deforming bladder material and applying an end seam. The deforming of the bladder materials is done by folding, rolling, accordion folding, knotting, or twisting the ends. The deforming of the bladder material in this matter shelters and protects the end seals.
