Apparatus and methods for medicament delivery. The apparatus may include, and the methods may involve, a delivery device for delivering a target amount of the medicament from a distal end of the device. The device may include a rod for moving a plunger that discharges the medicament from the distal end. The device may avoid or reduce deformation of the plunger during the discharge. The plunger motion may be stopped by detent that interacts with the rod. The apparatus and the methods may provide an operator indication of progress of stages of operation. The device may feature triggers corresponding to stages of medicament displacement from the device, such as pre-delivery stages, including priming.

MICRO-NEEDLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE MICRO-NEEDLE

Disclosed is a micro-needle including a tip formed using medicine that penetrates into the skin and melts therein; and at least one guide groove each in a stepped shape inward from the outer surface of the tip, and provided to the tip. The micro-needle configured as above may be used to administer a fixed quantity of medicine within a relatively short period of time. Also, since a guide space stepped based on the tip is provided to a base that supports the tip, a large amount of medicine may easily penetrate into the skin.

Injection molding device, method for injection molding multicomponent parts, use of a placeholder element, and computer program and computer-readable medium

The production of multicomponent parts (4) which include a functional part (3), in particular a hollow needle, onto which a plastic molding (2), in particular a syringe barrel (2), is molded. In order to be able to convert the injection molding device quickly and conveniently, the device has a changing device (11), by which it is possible optionally to move functional part holders (7, 8, 9), matched to different types of functional parts, and/or a functional part holder (8) and a placeholder element (10) into the use position thereof in front of a mold cavity (6) of the injection mold (5) of the injection molding device (1).

Provided are a transdermal absorption sheet capable of achieving control of the dissolution rate and suppression of diffusion of a drug, and a method of producing the same. A transdermal absorption sheet includes a sheet portion, and a plurality of needle-like protruding portions formed by a plurality of frustum portions arranged on the sheet portion and needle portions arranged on the frustum portions, in which at least one of the needle-like protruding portions has a cavity portion extending from the sheet portion to the frustum portion.

MICRONEEDLE-ARRAY MANUFACTURING APPARATUS, MICRONEEDLE-ARRAY MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND PRODUCT HAVING THE MICRONEEDLE ARRAY

A product having a microneedle array is provided wherein the composition distribution has been adjusted with good accuracy. A droplet-delivery apparatus of a microneedle-array manufacturing apparatus is configured capable of delivering, to each recessed part, droplets of a raw-material liquid in a prescribed amount that is less than the capacity of the recessed part. An aligning apparatus can align the relative position of the droplet-delivery apparatus and a mold such that the droplets from the droplet-delivery apparatus are caused to land in each of the recessed parts. The droplet-delivery apparatus delivers a plurality of the droplets to each of the recessed parts; and the aligning apparatus aligns the relative position of the droplet-delivery apparatus and the mold such that a second droplet lands in each of the recessed parts on the center part side of a first droplet.

Bioactive components conjugated to substrates of microneedle arrays

Microneedle arrays and methods of forming the same can include one or more bioactive components bonded to a biocompatible material such that the one or more bioactive components are cleavable in vivo to release the bioactive component from the biocompatible material.

A novel design of a polymer retention hub created having an innovative feature used to permanently attach a thin wall nozzle core without use of adhesives or ancillary parts to form a conjunct nozzle. Additional polymer in the correct amount is molded into a polymer retention hub in close proximity to a location where a mechanical lock must be formed to join the two components together. The inventive design of the polymer retention hub is configured to produce an enclosed cavity with the strength required for separation of a nozzle core from a standard taper.
