ERECTABLE CONTAINER, BLANK AND METHOD
A container blank comprising a bottom portion defined on four sides by a first, second, third, and fourth bottom score, a first side portion partially defined by the first bottom score, a second side portion partially defined by the second bottom score, a front portion partially defined by the third bottom score, a back portion defined by the fourth bottom score, a first back connecting portion connecting the first side portion to the back portion, a second back connecting portion connecting the second side portion to the back portion, a first front connecting portion connecting the first side portion to the front portion, and a second front connecting portion connecting the second side portion to the front portion. Wherein folding of the side portions about their respective bottom scores causes the back and front portions to fold about their respective bottom scores.
PRESSED CREASE-FORMING MEMBER
A pressed crease-forming member is disclosed which is capable of forming a crease in a corrugated cardboard sheet along which the sheet can be bent with high accuracy, and which is a strip-shaped member having a crease-forming portion formed with an odd number of ribs extending in the longitudinal direction of the strip-shaped member with one of the ribs located at the widthwise center of the crease-forming portion. A plurality of cross grooves are formed on each side of the center rib, which is located at the widthwise center of the crease-forming portion, so as to be inclined relative to the center rib and spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction of the crease-forming portion. The cross grooves are arranged to longitudinally separate each of the ribs on both sides of the center rib into discontinuous rib portions.
A PACKAGE
A package is provided, comprising a packaging material having a bulk layer and being formed into a three-dimensional container by folding the packaging material along predefined crease lines thus forming a fracture along the crease lines. At least one of the crease lines forms a hinge mechanism having a single axis of rotation.
PRESSED CREASE-FORMING MEMBER
A pressed crease-forming member includes a strip-shaped member having a crease-forming portion formed with three or a larger-than-three odd number of ribs extending in the longitudinal direction of the strip-shaped member with one of the ribs located at the widthwise center of the crease-forming portion and each half of the remaining even number of ribs arranged on either side of the center rib. At least the top of the center rib, namely, the rib located at the widthwise center of the crease-forming portion, is chamfered. Grooves are formed between the adjacent ribs. The ribs are arranged such that the tops of the ribs are formed, as a whole, into a convex shape. The bottom of each groove is recessed beyond the tops of the ribs on both sides of the groove.
Device for processing or generating break lines in flat products
In a device for processing flat products using a processing tool which processes the product between the tool and a counter-tool, the processing tool is supported by an ultrasonic sonotrode. The processing tool performs a processing movement together with an ultrasonic sonotrode, wherein the processing movement results in a partial separation of the flat product.
Methods and systems for producing pressware
A system for forming a pressware product comprises rollers, a scoring tool, a scoring station actuator, a forming tool, and a forming station actuator. The rollers pull the web along a path having an angle. The scoring tool receives the material from the rollers and includes a vertically shiftable scoring punch with an edge that extends about an outline of the pressware product and a striker plate. The scoring station actuator shifts the scoring tool to form a slot in the web. The forming tool receives the scored web and includes a vertically shiftable positive mold assembly and negative mold assembly. The forming station actuator shifts the positive mold assembly to press against the web and form the pressware product.
Method for producing balance correction sheet for punching machine
A balance correction sheet corrects a whole pressure balance of a punching machine, in which a punching die and a cutting plate for receiving blade tips of the punching die are attached to be opposed to each other. A method of forming the balance correction sheets includes attaching a balance correction die having a plurality of punching blades disposed at a predetermined interval to the punching machine, intermediately inserting the blade tips of the punching blades into a middle of laminated sheets formed by laminating peelable sheets so that incisions are formed in a depth direction of the laminated sheets, and partially removing the laminated sheets depending on depths of the incisions so as to prepare the balance correction sheet.
Methods and systems for producing pressware
A system for forming a pressware product from a web of a roll of material includes a positive mold, a negative mold, a heating element, an actuator, a force sensor, and a control system. The positive mold forms a top surface of the pressware product. The negative mold forms a bottom surface of the pressware product. The heating element is coupled to the positive mold or the negative mold. The actuator shifts the positive mold or the negative mold to cut and form the pressware product in a single stroke. The force sensor detects the forming force applied by the actuator, and the control system directs the actuator to adjust the forming force.
Method and system for cardboard pretreatment
A system and methods for operating a cardboard processing machine, the method comprising creating a pre-processing crease at a location on the cardboard where it is required to process the cardboard; and processing the cardboard along the pre-process crease.
