20230054147 · 2023-02-23 ·

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for an adhesive including an activated portion and an unactivated portion. The adhesive is interposed between and binds the first substrate to a second substrate. The unactivated portion includes moisture, and the activated portion is activated to adhere in response to the removal of moisture. Similarly, the unactivated portion of the adhesive may be activated in response to the removal of moisture, removal of air, applying radiation, heating, and/or catalyzing a functional group.

SOUND CONTROL FABRICS, MATS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS

A fabric composite for a gypsum underlayment sound control mat includes a first layer including a spunbond polyolefin layer, a second layer including a nonwoven polyolefin layer, and a hot-melt adhesive layer between and bonding the first layer and the second layer. A gypsum underlayment sound control mat may include the fabric composite bonded to an entangled mesh layer. A flooring system may include a gypsum or gypsum-concrete underlayment over the fabric composite or the mat. The fabric composite may be free of halogenated agents.

Dual pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for instore signage

A tandem system of metering and donor rolls is used to apply two different adhesives to a fully adhesive backed multilayer sheet to produce variably distributed adhesives and properties. Each of the two adhesives is unique and is cured differently to create a layer of adhesive that has differing adhesive properties on the sheet. A clear adhesive is applied to a top portion of cards before they are cut from the sheet and has a higher tackiness than the adhesive applied to the rest of the cards on the sheet in order to reduce glue buildup on blades cutting the cards from the sheet.

Method for producing a multilayer film

A method for producing a multilayer film including at least two layers joined by a two-component adhesive includes the following steps: spreading a first component A of a two-component adhesive on a first face of a first layer of film; spreading a second component B of the two-component adhesive on a first face of a second layer of film; bringing the first and second faces of the first and second layers into mutual contact joining the components and to form an adhesive and join the two layers in a multilayer film; and winding the multilayer film obtained.

AN ADHESIVE COMPOSITION AND USE THEREOF FOR BONDING OF PLASTIC FOAM PLATES
20220356380 · 2022-11-10 · ·

A hot-melt adhesive composition, which can be used for bonding of expanded polystyrene foam plates and expanded extruded polystyrene foam plates. The adhesive composition includes at least one at 25° C. solid poly-α-olefin, at least one tackifying resin, and at least one organic phosphorus-containing compound. The invention also uses adhesive composition for bonding of plastic foam plates, to a method for producing a composite element, and to a composite element including a first and second substrate bonded to each via a layer of adhesive composition of the present invention.

Sound absorption panel

In a sound absorption panel formed by stacking a plate perforated with a hole having a hole size smaller than a fiber length such as expanded metal, a honeycomb material, and felt-like fiber between the perforated plate and the honeycomb material, and joining the perforated plate, the felt-like fiber, and the honeycomb material to each other with an adhesive, the adhesive applied to the perforated plate is permeated into a surface of the felt-like fiber exposed from the hole to fix the fiber on the surface.

The present disclosure provides a display assembly, including: a display panel which includes: a screen portion, a chip providing portion, a bendable portion located between the screen portion and the chip providing portion, and a spacer portion connected between the bendable portion and the screen portion; a blocking layer on the screen portion; a cured adhesive layer located outside an area of the screen portion and including: a first portion covering the bendable portion and a second portion covering the spacer portion, the first portion and the second portion each having an thickness less than that of the blocking layer, the second portion is in contact with the blocking layer, and a surface of the second portion distal to the spacer portion is substantially flat. The present disclosure also provides a manufacturing method of the display assembly and a display device.

INSPECTION METHOD, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SECONDARY BATTERY LAMINATE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SECONDARY BATTERY
20230097190 · 2023-03-30 · ·

The present disclosure is directed to a new technique that can sufficiently suppress bonding defects by identifying application defect sites with a high accuracy when manufacturing a secondary battery laminate including battery members which are bonded together via an adhesive material. An inspection method of the present disclosure is an inspection method used upon forming a dry material on at least one bonding surface of an electrode and a separator, through the steps of applying a coating material on the bonding surface and forming the adhesive material by drying the coating material. In this inspection method, prior to the step of forming the adhesive material, the displacement of the bonding surface to which the coating material has been applied is measured by a laser displacement gauge to identify an application defect site.

RECYCLABLE PACKAGING FILM AND ARTICLE WITH MECHANICALLY PRE-SLIT CONTROLLED TEAR LINE

A method of forming a flexible packaging film includes providing a first web including a polymer sealant layer, the first web having a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. A second web including a polymer outer layer is provided, the second web having a third major surface and a fourth major surface opposite the third major surface. An adhesive layer is applied to the second major surface and the first web is laminated to the third major surface. Prior to laminating the first web to the second web, one or more slits are formed in the second web.

OPTICALLY VARIABLE SECURITY DEVICES

An optical device is formed by hot stamping a demetallized hologram to an optically variable foil or to a coating of optically variable ink. In another embodiment a hologram is hot stamped to a banknote or document printed with a color-shifting ink.
