Medium transport apparatus, image reading apparatus, and transport control method
A medium transport apparatus includes a feeding section configured to nip a medium and feed the medium in a transport direction, a sensor disposed to face a side of the medium being transported in the transport direction, the sensor being configured to detect motion of the medium, and a control unit configured to stop the transport of the medium based on a detection value received from the sensor, in which during a period including a time at which a leading edge of the medium is nipped by the feeding section, the control unit continues transporting the medium irrespective of the detection value from the sensor.
Medium transport device and image reading apparatus with two-dimensional sensor
A scanner having a medium transport device has: a medium placement section disposed so as to be exposed to the outside of a cabinet, the medium placement section having a placement surface on which paper to be transported is placed; a supply roller that feeds the paper in a transport direction by being rotated while in contact with a surface of the paper, the surface facing the placement surface; and a two-dimensional sensor disposed in the medium placement section. The two-dimensional sensor has a light emitting section that can emit light toward the paper placed in the medium placement section, and also has a light receiving section that can receive reflected light from the paper. The light receiving axis of the light receiving section intersects part of the cabinet.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus includes a processor. The processor is configured to set an image position of a reference image in a transport direction of a recording medium to an arbitrary position on a specific page of the recording medium. The reference image is formed using a first color and serves as a reference for an image position of an image of a second color to be formed after the image of the first color is formed. The processor is also configured to adjust the image position for the second color on an adjacent page, located adjacently upstream of the specific page in the transport direction, by using image information of the reference image formed on the specific page.
IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS
There is provided an image recording apparatus, including: a feed roller; a conveyer; a recording head; a carriage; a motor; a transmission mechanism; a lock detector; and a controller. The controller is configured to: record image on recording medium by alternately repeating a line feed process and a recording process; start feeding of second recording medium, before the recoding of the image to first recoding medium is completed, by rotating the motor to drive the feed roller; continue, in a case that the motor lock state is detected before the recording of the image to first recording medium is completed, a control for rotating the motor, until a process for recoding the image to first recording medium being executed when the motor lock state is detected, is completed; and stop a driving of the motor after the process for recoding the image to first recording medium is completed.
REPRINTS OF DELAYED PAGES
An example device includes a page sensor to detect a page of a print medium picked from a source tray of a printer. The device further includes a processor connected to the page sensor. The processor is to determine a delay in detection by the page sensor of the page conveyed by a page feed mechanism. In response to determination of the delay, the processor is to control the page feed mechanism to continue to convey the page through the printer and the processor is further to trigger the printer to reprint data intended for the page to a subsequently picked page of print medium.
RECORDING APPARATUS AND RECORDING METHOD
A recording apparatus includes a recording head, a loading unit, a feeding unit, a cover, a detection unit, and a determination unit. The feeding unit feeds a recording medium loaded on the loading unit to a recording position where the recording head performs the recording. The cover moves between an opening state and a closing state. The determination unit determines a size of the loaded recording medium based on a result of a width detection operation. The recording head records an image per a determination result. If the cover closing is detected before the recording is performed, the determination unit performs the width detection operation to determine the recording medium size loaded on the loading unit. If the cover opening is detected and the recording apparatus receives a recording instruction, the determination unit performs the width detection operation to determine the recording medium size loaded on the loading unit.
Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes a printing cylinder (14) that can hold sheets (4) and transfer them one by one continuously, first to fourth inkjet heads (41-44), and a feeder unit (2). The printing apparatus includes a speed reducer (72) that switches the speed of the feeder unit (2) between single-sided printing and double-sided printing. In single-sided printing, the feeder unit (2) is driven at a first supply speed at which the sheets (4) are supplied to the printing cylinder (14) one by one continuously, and the printing cylinder (14) is driven at a transfer speed at which the sheets (4) supplied from the feeder unit (2) one by one continuously are transferred. In double-sided printing, the printing cylinder (14) is driven at the transfer speed, and the feeder unit (2) is driven at a second supply speed that is the first supply speed. The printing apparatus that operates stably in both single-sided printing and double-sided printing can be provided.
Printing apparatus and control method therefor
A printing apparatus comprises a conveyance control unit which controls conveyance of printing sheets so that a trailing edge of a preceding sheet as a printing sheet precedingly fed from the stacking unit and a leading edge of a succeeding sheet as a printing sheet succeedingly fed from the stacking unit overlap each other; and a skew correction unit which performs skew correction of the succeeding sheet while the succeeding sheet overlaps the preceding sheet by the conveyance control unit. The skew correction unit makes the leading edge of the succeeding sheet abut against the conveyance roller during a time from an end of a last line feed operation by the conveyance roller for printing on the preceding sheet by the printing unit to start of a next conveyance operation.
Printing apparatus, method of controlling printing apparatus, and storage medium
A printing apparatus can be downsized while degradation in the print quality can be suppressed. To perform skew correction on a second print medium on which printing is to be performed subsequent to a first print medium, a first conveying unit disposed upstream of the printing position where the printing unit performs printing on the print medium is stopped. Then, driving and stopping of third conveying unit disposed downstream of a second conveying unit is controlled, depending on whether the first print medium after printing has already passed by the second conveying unit when the first conveying unit is stopped, the second conveying unit being driven by the same driving source as that for the first conveying unit and being disposed downstream of the printing position.
ADJUSTING A PICKUP TIME OF A PRINTING MEDIUM WHEN A TRANSFER DELAY OCCURS OR IS ANTICIPATED TO OCCUR
An image forming apparatus includes an engine to form an image on an image forming medium, a paper transfer device to pick up a printing paper and transfer the paper to a transfer path, a sensor to sense a printing paper at a predetermined position on the transfer path, and a processor to determine whether a transfer delay occurs, when the printing paper is sensed, and adjust a pickup timing to advance a pickup of a printing paper of a next page.
