LOW COST COUNTER COUNTERFEIT TECHNOLOGY
20210394548 · 2021-12-23 ·

An identification patch having a pattern of plasmonic resonance elements may be used to ensure that an article is counterfeit-proof. The identification patch is formed by laser-induced superplasticity to create a distinctive pattern of resonance elements that each contain a plurality of nanostructures. When the identification patch is irradiated, the pattern of resonance elements produces a unique spectral response that is associated only with the counterfeit-proof article. The counterfeit-proof article may be a metal component or an integrated circuit. The resonant absorption of the plasmonic resonance elements may be measured to verify the authenticity of the article before use of the article.

METHOD AND FACILITY FOR MARKING HOT GLASS CONTAINERS

A method for marking, at the outlet of a forming machine using a laser beam, a marking area on hot glass containers comprises determining the longitudinal and transverse positions of the marking area of each container by positioning a first optical axis of a first light sensor and a second optical axis of a second light sensor in a non-parallel manner to each other, in a detection plane parallel to the conveying plane of the containers, detecting the instant of intersection or disengagement, by a container, of the first optical axis and the instant of intersection or disengagement, by a container, of the second optical axis, and calculating said transverse and longitudinal positions from these instants and in consideration of a known or constant speed of translation of the containers. The method can determine the marking instant for each container running past the laser apparatus.

Graphic adaptation method and system for ceramic supports, specifically tiles

A graphics adaptation method for printable ceramic supports. Images are printed on sample ceramic supports starting from an original image file. A sample printed image is acquired. Sample points representative of the sample image are selected. Original points present in the original image file are also selected. A point-based matching is sought between the sample points and the original points, on the basis of which the original image file is modified and an adapted image file is determined, thus adapting the graphics of the original image file to the graphics of the sample image. A graphics adaptation system based on the method is also described.

Method of manufacturing metal product and metal product

A method of manufacturing a metal product comprise forming a base region on a surface of a metal member by repeatedly scanning along a predetermined first direction while irradiating the surface of the metal member with a base laser beam over a first set of rows. The method further comprises forming a marking by repeatedly scanning along a predetermined second direction while irradiating the surface of the metal member with a marking laser beam over a second set of rows. The second direction is different from the first direction. An identification code having a predetermined pattern comprises a combination of the base region and the marking.

METHOD FOR APPLYING A MARKING ON AN OBJECT AND MARKING APPARATUS
20220153049 · 2022-05-19 ·

The invention relates to a method for applying a marking within a marking area on an object, in which at least one light beam is emitted with light emitting means, scanning means are moved to deflect the light beam line by line over the marking area, while the light emitting means is switched between being activated or deactivated according to the marking to be applied. The method is characterized in that, for each start of a line movement of the light beam over the object, the scanning means is moved such that its deflection direction points at a line starting point outside the marking area and the scanning means is accelerated such that its deflection direction is accelerated from the line starting point towards the marking area, wherein the light emitting means is deactivated while the deflection direction points somewhere outside the marking area. The invention further relates to a corresponding marking apparatus.

CERAMIC GREEN SHEET, CERAMIC SUBSTRATE, METHOD OF PRODUCING CERAMIC GREEN SHEET, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING CERAMIC SUBSTRATE

A ceramic green sheet including a plurality of substrate forming regions. A barcode or a two-dimensional code is drawn in a portion of the ceramic green sheet. The barcode or the two-dimensional code is obtained by encoding one or more of the following information. Information relating to raw materials used when the ceramic green sheet is produced, information relating to molding conditions of the ceramic green sheet, information relating to a release agent used when a plurality of the ceramic green sheets are stacked, or a serial number.

A laser device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a light source and a reflection-type polarizer. The light source causes laser light to oscillate. The reflection-type polarizer is disposed on an optical path of the laser light and has a transmission axis coinciding with a polarization direction of the laser light.

Method for marking a sapphire watch crystal
11320790 · 2022-05-03 · ·

A method for marking a sapphire watch crystal, through the interaction between a laser beam and the sapphire. The beam is focused on a point inside the crystal and the interaction is such that it produces a rectilinear opaque area, which is parallel to the upper surface of the crystal or perpendicular to the surface. The orientation of the opaque area depends on the mode of operation applied. According to the hatching mode of operation, the beam is scanned along one or more linear paths, producing opaque lines inside the crystal, which are parallel to the upper surface. The perforation mode of operation produces distinct opaque areas, obtained by discontinuous operation of the beam on a number of juxtaposed points. According to this latter mode of operation, the opaque areas extend in the direction perpendicular to the upper surface of the crystal.
