STABILIZER WHEEL ASSEMBLY AND METHODS OF USE
Included is a stabilizer wheel assembly that may assist in stabilizing a medical device during a medical procedure. A medical device may comprise a body; and a plurality of stabilizer wheel assemblies coupled to the body, wherein the stabilizer wheel assemblies each comprise a motor assembly and a stabilization leg, wherein the motor assembly is configured to drive the stabilization leg onto a contact surface to stabilize the body.
PATIENT CARE BED
A patient care bed including a caster locking mechanism having a foot movable between retracted and extended positions, a lock bar movable from an unlocked to a locked position, a release bar movable from an initial to a release position, and a lock and release assembly. The lock and release assembly includes a guide plate defining a slot, a rocker coupled to the lock bar and including a protrusion slidable within the slot, and a release member coupled to the release bar and including a protrusion slidable within the slot. Moving the lock bar to the locked position slides the protrusion of the rocker through the slot to extend the foot. Moving the release bar to the release position urges the protrusion of the release member through the and into contact with the protrusion of the rocker to urge the protrusion of the rocker back, thereby retracting the foot.
Control of rollers mounted on a movable part
The invention relates to a control and to a method for controling rollers (2) mounted on a movable part such as, for example, a hospital bed (1), wherein one, several or all of the rollers (2) have a brake mechanism which can be set to a brake position and a release position, further preferably also to a direction-setting position, wherein, further, all the rollers (2) can be actuated electrically and one or several or all of the rollers (2) can in addition be actuated manually, and wherein, furthermore, an additional roller (3) with a wheel having a travel drive is provided, which additional roller (3) is preferably movable between a lowered position and a raised position. In order to obtain an advantageous control of the rollers in combination with the additional roller and also to provide an advantageous control method for this purpose, it is proposed that the travel drive can be activated only when the rollers (2) are located in the release position or the direction-setting position.
Brake module of a wheel module having a wheel drivable about a wheel axis by a drive module and indefinitely steerable about a steering axis
A brake module (1) of a wheel module (2) has an anchor plate (20) adjacent to a wheel (10) and is indefinitely rotatable about the steering axis (L) with the wheel (10). A lifting unit (30) is fixed adjacent to the anchor plate (20) and fixed about the steering axis (L). A brake wheel (21) is arranged on the wheel shaft (11) and is rotatable about the wheel axis (R) with the wheel (10). At least one transfer element (22, 22) extends from the anchor plate (20) towards the brake wheel (21). The lifting unit (30) is configured to move the anchor plate (20) from a first state to a second state. In the first state, the elements (20, 30, 22, 22) are spaced apart without any contact. In the second state, the at least one transfer element (22, 22) abuts against the brake wheel (21) generating a brake force at the brake wheel (21).
Patient transport apparatus with cable connected brake and steer lock assemblies
A patient transport apparatus comprises a support structure. The support structure comprises a base, a frame, and a patient support surface to support a patient. The patient transport apparatus also includes a first and a second caster assembly respectively coupled to the support structure to facilitate movement of the support structure along a floor surface, with the first caster assembly comprising a first brake assembly and the second caster assembly comprising a second brake assembly. The patient transport apparatus also includes an actuator assembly operatively coupling the first and second brake assemblies, with the actuator assembly comprising a first and second actuator respectively operatively coupled to the first and second brake assemblies. The actuator assembly further comprises a cable assembly interconnecting the first and second actuator that places the operatively coupled first and second brake assemblies in the braked state or the unbraked state.
Robotic surgical systems and robotic arm carts thereof
A surgical cart for supporting a robotic arm includes a base, a plurality of casters coupled to the base, and first and second rods rotatably supported by the base. The first rod is operably coupled to a first caster and configured to rotate in a first direction to one of lock or unlock the first caster. The second rod is coupled to a second caster and operably coupled to the first rod such that rotation of the first rod in the first direction causes the second rod to rotate in a second direction to one of lock or unlock the second caster.
Patient transport apparatus with electro-mechanical braking system
A patient transport apparatus includes a base, a patient support deck, a plurality of wheels, a plurality of brakes, and an electro-mechanical braking system. The electro-mechanical braking system includes a linkage, a manual actuator, and an electrical braking assembly. The linkage is operatively coupled to the brakes to place the brakes in a braked state, a released state, or other state. The manual actuator moves the linkage manually to place the brakes in one of the states. The electrical braking assembly includes an actuator assembly that moves the linkage with electrical power to place the brakes in one of the states.
Braking assembly for a caster base
A caster braking assembly that has a base section, a first caster assembly coupled to the base section and having at least one wheel, a second caster assembly coupled to the base section and having at least one wheel and a brake switch pivotally repositionable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. When the brake switch is in the engaged position at least one wheel of both the first caster assembly and the second caster assembly are substantially restricted from rotating.
BRAKING AND LOCKING SYSTEM FOR CASTER WHEELS
A swiveling caster wheel system for use on rolling devices such as children's accessories, furniture or equipment, and including a locking system having a locking actuator that is fixed in position regardless of the swivel position of the caster wheel. The system allows a user to access and actuate the caster locking system from a consistent position of the rolling device regardless of the swivel position of the caster wheel, and allows the caster wheel to be covered without blocking access to the locking actuator.
EXERCISE MACHINE
An exercise machine has a mobile base and an upright support extending upwards from the mobile base. An upper support assembly extends forward from an upper portion of the upright support and an exercise device is suspended from the upper support assembly at a location spaced forward from the upright support. The exercise machine may include a compact and safe counterbalancing gas spring mechanism that tends to move the exercise device away from the exerciser, and that requires a force to be applied to move an exercise device down towards the exerciser. The exercise machine may include an exercise device that is rotatable along a vertical axis, and may be coupled to an adjustable monitor for a wide range of uses. The exercise machine may be used by a exerciser lying supine, sitting in a chair or wheelchair, or standing in front of or adjacent the exercise machine.
