Wheel bearing unit

Wheel bearing units are disclosed. In one example, a wheel bearing unit includes an outer ring element and an inner ring element, between which there are arranged at least two rolling body rows. The inner ring element may have a radial flange which is fastenable to an axle body or to a wheel. A face surface, which faces toward the radial flange, of the outer ring element may have at least one projection.

WHEEL BEARING UNIT

The invention relates to a wheel bearing unit including a wheel hub. The wheel hub has an integrally formed wheel flange at one end and an inner ring which can be rotated together with the wheel hub. The inner ring is secured on the wheel hub by a rolling rivet connection in order to pretension a row of rolling elements relative to an outer ring. The wheel bearing unit also has an encoder, which is provided on the inner ring and extends radially in the direction of the outer ring, and a protective cover which is secured to the outer ring in order to close and seal annular openings that are formed between the outer ring and the wheel hub. A cylindrical mounting section of the protective cover is pressed into a cylindrical press-in portion of the outer ring, and a shielding section extends from the cylindrical assembly portion inwards in a radial direction (R1). A base section is provided which adjoins the shielding section in order to cover an inner-side end of the wheel hub, and a sealing element is provided on a circumferential surface, which faces away from the outer ring, of the cylindrical assembly portion. The sealing element is formed such that a part of the sealing element protrudes from the mounting section in the axial direction (R2) in order to form a sealing lip which is pressed axially onto a section of the outer ring in order to sealingly rest against this section.

Wheel hub unit

A wheel hub unit comprises a wheel hub body (100, 200), a first tapered roller bearing (101, 201) and a second tapered roller bearing (102, 202). Two bearings are oppositely disposed in the wheel hub body (100, 200). A bearing bush (104) or a shaft sleeve (204) is sleeved in the inner rings of the first tapered roller bearing (101, 201) and that of the second tapered roller bearing (102, 202), so as to form a rolling and sliding bearing, and the high strength load is effectively absorbed. A seal element is disposed between the outside end of the bearing and the wheel hub body (100, 200) to form the integral type independent seal. The problem that the inner rings of the bearings are exchanged and assembled in a mixed way during the assembly process is avoided, and the efficiency and accuracy of assembly are improved.

A wheel bearing arrangement for a motor vehicle with a wheel hub and a wheel bearing for the rotatable bearing of the wheel hub at a wheel mount. The wheel bearing has an outer ring and an inner ring, which is rotatable with respect to the outer ring around an axis of rotation and is connected to the wheel hub. A wheel flange extends from the wheel hub and, as viewed in the axial direction, has a brake disk mount, which is open in the direction facing away from the outer ring and which, as viewed in longitudinal section with respect to the axis of rotation, is formed by a recess of the wheel flange, and has a support surface for a brake disk.

BEARING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE WHEEL

A bearing device (1) for a vehicle wheel provided with: an outer member (2); and an inner member comprising a hub wheel (3), and at least one inner wheel (4) press-fitted into the small-diameter ridge (3A) of the hub wheel (3); wherein a belt-shaped part (2F) that radially protrudes by a protrusion amount (P1) is formed over a prescribed width (W1) in the outer peripheral surface of the outer member (2) so that at least part of the belt-shaped part (2F) radially overlaps the outside rolling surface (2D) which is on the vehicle-wheel-attachment-flange-facing side of the outer member (2). The present invention addresses the problem of providing a bearing device for a vehicle wheel in which the amount of deformation in an opening of an outer member can be reduced and decreases in rolling fatigue service life can be prevented while keeping overall weight increase to a minimum.
