Communications Enabled Respirator Assembly
20220296940 · 2022-09-22 ·

A communications enabled respirator assembly for amplifying and transmitting vocalizations of a user includes a panel, which cup shaped, substantially rigid, and can filter particulates from air passing through the panel. A coupler engaged to the panel engages the panel to a head of a user. The panel is positioned over a nose and a mouth of the user, positioning the coupler to engage the head of the user to sealably engage the panel to a face of the user. The panel is positioned to filter particulates from air passing through the panel. A communications module engaged to the panel can perform one or more of amplifying and transmitting vocalizations of the user. The communications module thus enhances vocalizations of the user.

Firefighter Respirator Mask Device
20220296941 · 2022-09-22 ·

The present invention relates to the field of firefighter facial masks. More specifically, the present invention relates to a firefighter respirator mask device that is preferably comprised of a body, a facial covering over an opening of an SCBA mask, a fastening mechanism and a filter. The body of the device preferably resembles an ovular shape, or any shape that sufficiently covers the hole left over the mouth of an SCBA mask when not attached to an oxygenated hose, normally present under hazardous conditions. The device is comprised of color-changing technology that allows the facial mask to turn colors in response to pathogenic exposure, indicating to the user that it is no longer sterile. In this manner, the device can be applied to any firefighter or industrial worker requiring the use of an SCBA without risk of possible pathogenic exposure when not attached to an oxygenated hose.

Pulse saturation oxygen delivery system and method

In a preferred embodiment, systems and methods for delivering oxygen to a passenger of an aircraft via an oxygen mask having one or more sensors involve analyzing blood oxygen saturation measurements from the sensor(s) to determine a current oxygen saturation level, determining the current oxygen saturation level is insufficient, and adjusting an oxygen flow rate to the mask to compensate for the current blood oxygen saturation level.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED RESPIRATOR

There is provided a computing device comprising: at least one processor; and a memory comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to: receive first sensor data indicative of a gas characteristic in a sealed space formed by a face of a wearer and a negative pressure reusable respirator; receive second sensor data indicative of a position of at least one valve in the negative pressure reusable respirator; determine comparative data by comparing the first sensor data to the second sensor data; and perform one or more actions in response to the comparative data. There is also provided a system using such computing device.

Modular powered air purifying respirator system

A modular powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) is provided including one or more of a first inlet configured to receive an ambient gas; a gas filter in fluid communication with the first inlet and configured to filter the ambient gas; a blower configured to boost at least one of a flow rate or a pressure of the ambient gas entering and/or exiting the gas filter; a second and independent inlet configured to receive a non-ambient gas; a first outlet configured to selectively provide a breathing gas to a user from the ambient gas or the non-ambient gas; and/or a controller and switching device configured to select the source of the breathing gas between the first inlet and the second inlet. Embodiments may also include a power source for the blower.

STRETCHER OF ELASTIC MATERIAL, AIR FILTER UNIT CAPABLE OF CONTROLLING AIR PERMEABILITY INCLUDING SAME, AND MASK INCLUDING THE AIR FILTER UNIT

A mask according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may adjust permeability thereof by including and using an air filter unit which is capable of expanding or contracting, in at least one direction, a filter for filtering particles contained in air passing through the mask by pores.

AIR FILTERING SURGICAL HELMET

Disclosed is a protective helmet, surgical garment, and positive pressure air filter apparatus. The helmet is adapted to fit on the head of a medical practitioner and includes a filtered air inlet located near the crown of the practitioner's head, one or more air flow ducts, and one or more outlets located near the practitioner's face. The garment fits over the helmet and provides an air-impermeable barrier to prevent airborne contaminants from entering the space around the practitioner's head. A motorized filter unit is adapted to be worn near the waist of the practitioner. A tube connects the output of the filter unit with the air inlet of the helmet to provide a filtered air supply to the practitioner. One or more filter elements are provided at the input of the filter unit. The filter elements remove contaminants, including bacteria, viruses, vapors, and gasses from ambient air drawn into the filter unit to generate filtered air that is delivered to the practitioner.
