A variable rate bound stopper includes a bound stopper in the form of an elastomer member. The elastomer member has an aperture such that the bound stopper is configured to be positioned over and disposed around a piston rod of a shock absorber. A shape memory alloy (SMA) coil formed from an SMA wire extends around at least a portion of the elastomer member. The SMA coil has a relaxed state and an activated state. The SMA coil constrains the elastomer member from deforming radially outward and alters an intrinsic spring rate of the bound stopper when in the activated state.
HYBRID ARM AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
A hybrid arm according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include: a first body made of a metal material and formed with a plurality of end portions; a second body formed so as to fill an inner side of the first body by being insert-injection-molded to the first body; and a ball joint formed integrally at a first end portion among the plurality of end portions of the first body. The ball joint may include: a reinforcement member coupled to the first end portion; a bearing member formed with a space therein; a ball stud including a ball rotatably inserted into the space of the bearing member and a rod extending upward of the ball; and a housing interposed between the reinforcement member and the bearing member and formed integrally with the second body.

The present disclosure relates to a hybrid lower arm including: a metal member including a plurality of end portions, one end portion of the plurality of end portions being connected to a ball joint and another end portion of the plurality of end portions being connected to a vehicular body; a face portion extending downwards along an edge of the metal member between the one end portion and the another end portion; and a guard member configured to surround a portion of the face portion and formed of a material lighter than the metal member.
TRANSVERSE LINK FOR A WHEEL SUSPENSION OF A VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a transverse link for a wheel suspension of a vehicle that includes at least one wheel-side attachment structure and at least one structure-side attachment structure. The wheel-side and structure-side structures are connected to each other by a connection structure which extends therebetween. The connection structure and/or at least one of the attachment structures is/are produced by a generative production method. At least one of the attachment structures is constructed as a generatively produced bushing which has an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve surrounding the inner sleeve. The sleeves are connected to each other by a fold-like structure. The present disclosure further provides a method for producing such a transverse link.

An air spring includes a bellow at least partially delimiting at least one working chamber that is constructed and arranged to be filled with compressed air. A guide tube surrounds at least a portion of the bellow. A bonding agent solely fixes a portion of the bellow to the guide tube. A piston is associated with the bellow. The bellow is constructed and arranged to roll with respect to an outer surface of the piston and an inner surface of the guide tube.

Spring
This spring used for a suspension device for a vehicle is provided with: a metal wire material which constitutes a spring section and which has a cover layer provided on the surface thereof; and a seat section which is subjected to a load acting on the spring section, is formed from an elastically deformable material, and is bonded to the cover layer by an adhesive. The difference between the hardness of the seat section and the hardness of the adhesive is greater than the difference between the hardness of the adhesive and the hardness of the cover layer.

CONTROL ARM FOR A WHEEL SUSPENSION IN A MOTOR VEHICLE
A control arm for a wheel suspension in a motor vehicle has a control arm body made of light metal. The control arm body has two parallel side walls. An elongated hole for an eccentric mount is provided in at least one side wall. The eccentric mount has a base plate with an elongated hole. An anchor body extending on the side of the edge of the elongated hole is provided at the rear of the base plate. At the front, the base plate has two eccentric stops projecting from the base plate. The eccentric mount is inserted with the anchor body into the elongated hole of the side wall and joined by pressing into the elongated hole.
