DISPLAY SYSTEM AND DISPLAY METHOD
A display system includes a location acquiring unit that acquires a current location of an own vehicle, an environment image generating unit that generates a virtual environment image based on a current location of the own vehicle and map information, the virtual environmental image being a virtual image showing a surrounding environment of the own vehicle, a partial video image extracting unit that acquires a real environment video image of a surrounding of the own vehicle and extracts a participant video image, the participant video image being a video image portion of a traffic participant from the real environment video image, and a display control unit that generates and displays on a display device a composite image by inlaying each of the extracted participant video image into the virtual environment image at a corresponding position on the virtual environment image.
Display systems and methods for a recreational vehicle
The present application discloses systems and methods to present information to recreational vehicle riders and to provide customizable visual information to recreational vehicle riders. The present application further discloses systems and methods to connect and transmit audio information between a driver portable communication device and a driver audio interface device through the recreational vehicle and audio information between a passenger portable communication device and a passenger audio interface device.
Display apparatus and in-vehicle display device
Disclosed are a display apparatus and an in-vehicle display device. The display apparatus includes at least two display modules. The display modules are arranged in sequence along a first direction and includes at least one user front-view display module and at least one user side-view display module. A difference between a luminous angle of each user side-view display module and a viewing angle of the user side-view display module is within a preset difference range. The viewing angle is formed by a second direction and a normal direction of a corresponding display module, the second direction being from a point on the corresponding display module toward the user position; the luminous angle is formed by an emission direction and a normal direction of the corresponding display module; for each user side-view display module, an angle formed by the second direction and the emission direction is within a preset angle range.
Pupillated illumination apparatus
A switchable backlight for a switchable privacy display apparatus comprises a collimated waveguide, first and second light sources and an optical turning film comprising elongate prismatic elements with facet orientations that pupillate the output of the waveguide in two orthogonal directions for each of first and second light sources. High luminance uniformity is achieved for a head-on user in privacy and public viewing modes and high uniformity of security factor is achieved for off-axis snoopers, with increased speed of privacy switch-on in privacy mode.
VEHICLE SENSING WITH BODY COUPLED COMMUNICATION
A vehicle can include a body coupled communication (BCC) sensor. A computer in the vehicle can detect that an occupant of a vehicle is touching a screen of a user device, based on a signal from the BCC sensor. Further, it can be determined whether the occupant is in the position of the vehicle operator. Upon determining that the occupant is in the position of the vehicle operator, a gaze direction of the occupant of the vehicle can be determined while the occupant is touching the screen. A prediction can then be output that occupant attention is directed to the screen based on the gaze direction and the signal from the BCC sensor.
Automated pacing of vehicle operator content interaction
In one example, a computing device includes one or more user input detection components, and one or more processors configured to receive an indication of a first user input detected by the one or more user input detection components, responsive to receiving the indication of the first user input, adjust a level of an attention buffer at a defined rate; responsive to determining that the level of the attention buffer satisfies a first threshold, prevent further interaction with a user interface of the computing device, responsive to determining that an indication of a second user input has not been received within a time period, adjust a level of the attention buffer, and responsive to determining that the level of the attention buffer satisfies a second threshold, allow further interaction with the user interface.
Directional display apparatus
A dual view display for an automotive vehicle comprises a spatial light modulator and a polar control retarder comprising a switchable liquid crystal retarder arranged between a first pair of polarisers. The switchable liquid crystal retarder comprises a polarisation-switch retarder and a polar control retarder with an average director that is directed towards an off-axis viewing location. In a first temporal phase of operation, the spatial light modulator and polar control retarder are arranged to direct light comprising a first image towards a first direction and in a second temporal phase of operation to direct light comprising a second image towards a second direction.
Apparatus and method for controlling a display of a vehicle
An apparatus for controlling a display of a vehicle includes a camera obtaining a face image of a driver, a sensor sensing a location of a seat on which the driver is seated, and a controller. The controller is configured to determine a location of an eye of the driver based on the face image and the location of the seat and to correct a projection location of a virtual image projected onto a display device based on the location of the eye. The apparatus allows the virtual image to be accurately matched with a road by changing the projection location of a virtual image depending on the height of a driver's eye, thereby providing the driver with an undistorted image.
VEHICLE DISPLAY SYSTEM
A control device in a vehicle display system includes: a gazed image display output unit configured to display a normal gazed image in a part of each of main screen areas; a gazed image visual recognition determination unit configured to determine, based on a line-of-sight state, whether an occupant visually recognizes a normal gazed image in one of the main screen areas; and a main screen area selection unit configured to select, based on an input unit, the main screen area corresponding to the normal gazed image determined to be visually recognized by the occupant. Earlier selection display information displayed in an earlier selection main screen area selected earlier by the main screen area selection unit is displayed in a later selection main screen area selected later.
Configuring the display of passenger information in a vehicle based on weight and voice
A display apparatus and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The display apparatus provided in a vehicle according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a memory; a display unit displaying one or more data areas on a screen; and a controller controlling the display unit to further display additional data area on the basis of at least one of recognition and identification of a passenger who boards on the vehicle.
