An armrest apparatus for a vehicle includes: a lower arm located on a side surface of a seat and configured to rotate with respect to the seat by power of a lower arm motor; and an upper arm extending along a lengthwise direction of the lower arm and configured to rotate with respect to the lower arm by power of an upper arm motor.

Armrest with cushioned component having an integrated air channeling system

An armrest assembly includes a body portion having a cushioned component, wherein the cushioned component includes first and second portions spaced-apart from one another. The cushioned component includes a porous lattice matrix. A duct assembly includes a main inlet and first and second outlets that are operably coupled to the first and second portions of the cushioned component, respectively. The duct assembly further includes first and second channels fluidically coupled to the first and second outlets, respectively. An air diverter member is pivotally supported between first and second positions and includes a channel disposed therethrough. The channel of the air diverter member opens into the first channel when the air diverter member is in the first position, and opens into the second channel when the air diverter member is in the second position for directing airflow to the first and second outlets, respectively.

DEPLOYABLE SEAT ARMREST

A seat includes a seatback and an armrest supported by the seatback. The armrest is rotatable relative to the seatback to a deployed position. A swing bar is supported by the armrest and is rotatable relative to the armrest to a downward position. The swing bar in the downward position is elongated downwardly from the armrest. A drive belt is indexed with the armrest and the swing bar to rotate the swing bar to the downward position when the armrests rotates to the deployed position.

Mounting structure of auxiliary member and vehicle seat with auxiliary member

An auxiliary member attachment structure for a vehicle seat. The auxiliary member attachment structure includes an auxiliary member at an outer side of the vehicle seat. The vehicle seat has a seat cushion that is capable of transitioning from a seating position to a storage position aligned with a seat back. The auxiliary member being rotatable, about a shaft in the vehicle seat extending along the seat width direction, between a reference position at which the auxiliary member is upright and a holding position at which the auxiliary member is rotated closer to a front side of a vehicle. The auxiliary member attachment structure further includes a rotation restriction unit configured to restrict rotation of the auxiliary member at the reference position when the seat cushion is at the seating position, and cease the restriction of rotation of the auxiliary member when the seat cushion is at the storage position.

VEHICLE ENERGY ABSORBING DEVICE

A vehicle door interior trim assembly includes a trim panel and an armrest supported by the trim panel. The armrest includes an energy absorbing device. The energy absorbing device includes an inboard panel and an outboard panel. The outboard panel is between the inboard panel and the trim panel. The energy absorbing device has a variable crush resistance based on a temperature of the energy absorbing device. A heater is operatively coupled to the energy absorbing device.
