LOAD FLOOR ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A MULTI-OPEN POSITION MECHANISM
A load floor assembly includes a storage bin including a bin body. The bin body defines an open inner cavity. The load floor assembly further includes a load floor movably coupled to the storage bin between a fully open position and a closed position. Further, the load floor is movable among a plurality of partially open positions. The load floor assembly further includes a multi-open position mechanism movably coupling the load floor to the storage bin. The multi-open position mechanism include a first link movably coupled between the storage bin and the load floor, a second link movably coupled between the storage bin and the load floor, and an elastic member coupled between the storage bin and the load floor to allow the load floor to remain stationary relative to the storage bin in the plurality of partially open positions.
Sliding package tray cargo cover
A cargo area for a vehicle includes a load floor, a package tray, and a pair of cargo area side walls each comprising a package tray translating element including a vehicle-forward facing guide surface for translating the package tray between at least one deployed position at a spaced distance above the load floor and a stowed position on the load floor. Vehicle-forward upper and lower indents are disposed at spaced intervals along the vehicle-forward facing guide surface. A cooperating package tray retaining element includes vehicle-rearward upper and lower indents disposed on the cargo area side walls. A vehicle-forward edge of the package tray includes a follower element adapted for translating the package tray between the at least one deployed position and the stowed position. A vehicle-rearward edge of the package tray includes a retractable retaining element adapted to releasably and selectively engage the vehicle-rearward upper and lower indents.
Closed-form seatbelt retractor assembly
A closed-form seatbelt retractor assembly includes a package tray having sidewalls that define an interior cavity. An aperture is disposed through at least one of the sidewalls. A bracket is connected to the package tray proximate the aperture to cover at least a portion of the aperture. A seatbelt retractor is secured to an interior surface of the bracket and disposed substantially entirely within the interior cavity.
Trunk Mounted Storage Rack for Sport Utility Vehicles
A trunk mounted storage rack for sport utility vehicles (SUV) securely restrains grocery bags and prevents damage to fragile items contained therein. The trunk mounted storage rack includes a top shelf, a center shelf, a bottom shelf, an upper support frame, a center support frame, a lower support frame, a safety net, and a top-level barrier. The top shelf, the center shelf, and the bottom shelf are sized to closely fit in the trunk of the SUV. The center support frame suspends the top shelf over the center shelf. Similarly, the lower support frame suspends the center shelf and the top shelf over the bottom shelf. The upper support frame allows the top-level barrier and the safety net to mount onto the top shelf. The safety net prevents grocery bags from falling out of the back of the top shelf, the center shelf, and the bottom shelf.
CONTROL SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR-DISPLACEABLE CARGO COMPARTMENT DEVICE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
The invention disclosure relates to a control system for a motor-displaceable cargo compartment device of a motor vehicle, wherein the cargo compartment device comprises a motor-displaceable closure element, wherein an operator occurrence sensor is provided, wherein a control arrangement monitors the operator occurrence sensor to determine whether a predetermined operator occurrence exists and, upon detection of such a predetermined operator occurrence, displaces the cargo compartment device with the aid of a motor, wherein the control arrangement displaces the closure element in the opening direction with the aid of a motor upon detection of a primary operator occurrence via the operator occurrence sensor. Further the cargo compartment device comprises at least one motor-displaceable cargo compartment component and the control arrangement displaces at least one such cargo compartment component with the aid of a motor upon detection, via the operator occurrence sensor, of a secondary operator occurrence following the primary operator occurrence.
Cover for a gap behind a rear seat backrest in a vehicle
A cover is provided for covering a gap between a rear seat backrest of a vehicle and a luggage space cover of the vehicle, which cover extends in the transverse direction of the vehicle. The cover has a surface element which can be pulled out of a housing of the luggage space cover. Arranged on the surface element is at least one support element which, when pulled out of the housing, can be moved from a first stable position into a second stable position, wherein in the housing there is arranged at least one forced guide which at least at the output side thereof has a curved configuration so that the support element is forced into the second stable position.
PACKAGE TRAY UMBRELLA HOLDER
A vehicle cargo space comprising a package tray and an umbrella drainage system is disclosed. The package tray cooperates with a rear seat defining a cargo area beneath the package tray. The package tray has an umbrella storage receptacle with a drain hole. The umbrella drainage system has a flexible hose within the cargo area. The hose is fluidly connected to the package tray and a body drainage system such that water drains from the receptacle into the hose for expulsion via the body drainage system.
LIGHT BAR FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A light bar for a trunk of a motor vehicle includes a tubular element. The tubular element includes a straight or slightly curved bar forming an interior. One or more lamps are secured in the interior and/or on the shell surface of the tubular element. A first end of the tubular element is provided with an electrical plug connection, which is connected in an electrically conductive manner with the at least one lamp. The light bar is configured to be placed in the trunk of a motor vehicle, so that its electrical plug connection is connected with a corresponding plug connection in the trunk.
VEHICLE REAR STRUCTURE
A vehicle rear structure has an upper back panel, and a first closed sectional part that is coupled to a front end part of the upper back panel in a vehicle forward-rearward direction and serves as a closed sectional part having a closed section structure. The first closed sectional part is constituted of a first panel and a second panel that are panel members different from the upper back panel. The thickness of the first panel and the thickness of the second panel are larger than the thickness of the upper back panel, respectively.
