A cargo liner for a vehicle may include a cargo area portion sized and configured to extend over a horizontally-oriented cargo area of a vehicle. The cover may also include a seatback portion coupled to the lower portion. The seatback portion may be sized and configured to extend upwardly over a seatback of a vehicle seat. The seatback portion may include a first section, a second section, and a third section. Each of the first section, the second section, and the third section may extend from an upper edge of the upper portion to the cargo area portion. The cargo liner may include a guard portion elevating mechanism that is manipulable to cause the guard portion to transition between a lowered state and an elevated state wherein at least a segment of the guard portion proximate the cargo bed portion extends upwardly to provide a rear barrier.

A pair of elongated protector strips are placed in a pickup truck bed to protect the bed and the tailgate from damage by snowmobile skis when the snowmobile is loaded and unloaded to and from the truck bed. The strips are laterally spaced apart to align with the snowmobile skis. Each strip has a downwardly extending block or leg which fits into the gap between the rear of the truck bed and the bottom edge of the open tailgate, thereby preventing longitudinal movement of the strips during use. Each strip includes a cut-resistant upper surface received in a lower metal channel. The strips do not need to be fixed or attached to the truck bed or tailgate.

An apparatus for retaining an item carried by a vehicle, a vehicle and a method. The apparatus comprises a rail and a strap anchored relative to the rail at a first anchor point. The apparatus also includes at least one component defining a passageway through which the strap extends, the at least one component being mounted to slide along the rail, towards and away from the first anchor point, to enable different items of various dimensions to be retained between the strap and the rail.

A motor vehicle includes a vehicle body having a trunk and an inner lining fastened to the body and delimiting the trunk. A functional component, such as a warning triangle and/or a first-aid box, is secured to the vehicle body within the trunk. In particular, the functional component is fastened between the body and the inner lining in a holding position.

A vehicle seating assembly includes a seat coupled to a seatback. The seat includes a cushion divided into a first part and a second part. The first part and the second part are arranged to form a platform in an opened state. A liner is stored between the first part and the second part in the unopened state. The liner covers the platform in the opened state.

An on-board central vacuum system for a vehicle is provided. The on-board central vacuum system includes a vacuum motor assembly, a vacuum hose fluidly connected to a vacuum nozzle handle and interior trim. The interior trim has an armrest portion and includes a handle pocket that defines an opening. The handle pocket defines a cavity that projects below an outermost surface of the interior trim and nestingly accepts the vacuum nozzle handle in a recessed and stowed position relative to the outermost surface.

A cargo liner for an enclosed vehicle has a water proof flexible material with a central section and a pair of butterfly wings. A number of first attachment points are space along an edge of one of the pair of butterfly wings. A pair of straps is located on a first edge of the central section. A number of adjustable straps each have a second attachment point at a first end of the adjustable straps. A number of suction cups are attached to the adjustable straps. The cargo liner is easily installed, is inexpensive to ship because it can fold down to a small package, and is adjustable to fit a wide variety of vehicles.

A smart functional vehicle component includes a vehicle component, a leather sheet fixed over a surface of the vehicle component, a flexible electronic circuit contacting an A-surface of the leather sheet and including a printed and cured conductive ink, and a pigmented coating arranged over the electronic circuit. The circuit includes a wireless transmitter, which is configured to generate an oscillating electromagnetic field when an associated portable electronic device is within a predetermined distance from the wireless transmitter. The circuit may also include an electronic element such as a light source, a sensor, or a switch. When the circuit includes a light source, the pigmented coating inhibits or prevents the circuit and the light source from being visible through the pigmented coating, but light emitted by the light source is visible through the pigmented coating.
