A digital license plate comprising includes a display system capable of showing a first image and a power supply rail connected to the display system. A display controller is provided with a data connection to the display system and arranged to measure at least one of power consumption and impedance of the power supply rail. The display controller is further configured to prevent sending a second image to the display system if display failure is indicated by measured power consumption or impedance as being below a defined threshold.

A mounting system for mounting a number plate carrier on a vehicle component of a single-track motor vehicle is provided. The vehicle component consists of a vehicle frame, a rear carrier component which is fixed to the vehicle frame. The number plate carrier has at least one securing hook, and the rear carrier component has at least one corresponding through-engagement opening. The number plate carrier can be hooked by the at least one securing hook into the respective through-engagement opening, aligned on the vehicle component in a predetermined position and pre-fixed securely in position. The number plate carrier can be fastened to the vehicle frame by a fastener spaced apart from the at least one securing hook along a longitudinal axis of the single-track motor vehicle.

The number plate support portion is movably attached to the warning indicator. The number plate support portion is moveable from a first position covering the warning indicator to a second position revealing the warning indicator. A method and device for the automatic fitting of vehicle registration plates with data carriers. A plurality of work stations interlinked by at least one conveyor are provided for this purpose. The work stations are equipped with handling devices and associated imaging devices. As a result, a respective data carrier can be automatically gripped and placed in its precise position in the opening and prefixed there. The data carriers are then each cast automatically in the opening for the permanent fixation of the data carrier in the opening of the registration plate.

A panel has a front side, a back side and a perimeter edge and the panel is elongated from a first side edge to a second side edge. The panel is comprised of a plastic material, which is flexible to conform to contours of the outer surface of the bumper. An adhesive is positioned on the back side of the panel. The adhesive adheres the back side of the panel to the outer surface of the bumper. A plurality of identification indicia is positioned within a laminate formed by bonding of layers of the panel to identify an owner of the vehicle.

A hands-on wheel, transparent multi-pocket pouch for displaying personal identification documents uses a multi-pocket pouch, a transparent exterior pocket and an external device fastener to mount a user's identification documents on the steering wheel of a vehicle. The multi-pocket pouch includes a transparent enclosure that has an interior pocket. The transparent exterior pocket includes a front face of the multi-pocket pouch to hold prioritized documents (e.g., a driver's license) above important, but lower priority, identification (and supporting) documents stored within the multi-pocket pouch. Supporting documents may include vehicle registration, proof of insurance, etc. The external device fastener may be connected to a rear face of the multi-pocket pouch so that the multi-pocket pouch can be attached to the vehicle's steering wheel. The present apparatus may also be made of flexible materials capable of conforming to the shape of the steering wheel.
