VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE AND VEHICLE
Provided is a vehicle control device mounted on a vehicle including headlights. The vehicle control device includes an environment recognition unit, an image generation unit, an image display unit, and an illumination range detector. The environment recognition unit acquires surrounding environment formation around the vehicle. The image generation unit generates, on a basis of the surrounding environment information, an environment image that includes forward environment information on environment forward of the own vehicle. The image display unit displays the environment image. The illumination range detector detects an illumination range, in which the illumination range is illuminated by the headlights. The environment image solely includes information acquired inside the illumination range.
OCCUPANT PROTECTION APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
An occupant protection device for a vehicle includes a seat, a three-point seatbelt device, and a belt airbag device. An occupant to board the vehicle is to sit on the seat. The three-point seatbelt device includes a seatbelt extendable across a front of an upper body of the occupant sitting on the seat. The belt airbag device includes a belt airbag that is provided at a shoulder belt section, which is extendable from a shoulder to a waist of the occupant, of the seatbelt, and that is configured to be deployed when a collision occurs. The belt airbag includes a belt-direction deployment section extendable and deployable along the shoulder belt section, and an intersecting-direction deployment section extendable and deployable in a direction intersecting the shoulder belt section. The sections are configured to form a single bag by being coupled to each other below a head of the occupant sitting on the seat.
REAR VISION SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME
A rear vision system for a host vehicle and a method of using the same, where the rear vision system includes an electronic display mirror that is designed to replace a traditional rearview mirror. The electronic display mirror has an integrated electronic video display that is coupled to a rearward facing camera at the back of the vehicle and displays a video feed from the camera to the driver in real time. The electronic display mirror can display enhanced video output that shows the area behind the host vehicle, along with performance metrics that are superimposed on the video and provide relevant information to the driver. For example, the enhanced video output may include an estimated time difference between the host vehicle and the closest trailing vehicle superimposed on the video; this may be particularly useful when the host vehicle is involved in a performance driving event, like a race.
Movable carrier auxiliary system and brake controlling method thereof
A movable carrier auxiliary system includes a state detecting device, a braking device, an environmental detecting device and an emergency brake controlling device. The state detecting device detects a movement state of a movable carrier. The environmental detecting device includes at least one image capturing module and an operation module. The brake controlling method thereof includes receive the movement state detected by the state detecting device, and deriving an operating distance based on the movement state with the operation module; capture the environmental image with the image capturing module; determine whether there is an obstruction within the operating distance based on the environmental image; automatically actuate the braking device with the emergency brake controlling device when there is the obstruction within the operating distance in the environmental image, thereby to stop the movable carrier within the operating distance.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR VEHICLE
A head-up display (HUD) device for a vehicle includes a sensor for detecting a front object of the vehicle, a controller for selecting any one region of a display region preset based on a driver's gaze as a target region for displaying HUD information depending on an overlapping position and a degree of overlap between the display region and the front object, and determining a virtual image forming position of the HUD information and a graphics mode for displaying a virtual image depending on a relative position of the target region in the display region, an HUD generator for generating the HUD information according to the determined graphics mode, and an HUD adjuster adjusting an image forming distance of the HUD information according to the virtual image forming position.
VEHICLE USER INTERFACE APPARATUS AND VEHICLE
A vehicle user interface apparatus for a vehicle including a light emitting unit configured to emit light; a touch sensor configured to sense a touch; a processor configured to control the light emitting unit to emit the light in response to an event, activate the touch sensor when the light is emitted, and provide a signal to control a vehicle device corresponding to a touch input received through the activated touch sensor; and a cover covering the light emitting unit, the touch sensor, and the processor, the cover configured to transmit the light into a passenger compartment with a specific shape when the light is emitted.
Integrated vehicular system for low speed collision avoidance
A method of providing range measurements for use with a vehicle, the method comprising the steps of: a) visually sensing (2) the area adjacent the vehicle to produce visual sense data (22); b) range sensing (26) objects around the vehicle to produce range sense data; c) combining the visual sense data and the range sense data to produce, with respect to the vehicle, an estimate of ranges to the objects around the vehicle (28). The estimate of ranges to the objects around the vehicle may be displayed (29) to a driver.
STEREO IMAGE GENERATING METHOD USING MONO CAMERAS IN VEHICLE AND PROVIDING METHOD FOR OMNIDIRECTIONAL IMAGE INCLUDING DISTANCE INFORMATION IN VEHICLE
A method for providing an omnidirectional image of the surroundings of a vehicle including distance information comprises a plurality of mono cameras placed at different positions of a vehicle's obtaining a plurality of images with different field of views; an image processing device disposed in the vehicle's combining the plurality of images into an omnidirectional image showing the surroundings of the vehicle; the image processing device's selecting two images with overlapping regions from among the plurality of images and generating a stereo image for the overlapping region by using the two images; a display device disposed in the vehicle displaying an omnidirectional image and displaying information about objects recognized through the stereo image.
Information processing apparatus and information processing method using correlation between attributes
According to an embodiment, an information processing apparatus includes an attribute determiner and a setter. Each of acquired first sets indicates a combination of observation information indicating a result of observation of an area surrounding a moving body and position information. The attribute determiner is configured to determine, based on the observation information, an attribute of each of areas into which the area surrounding the moving body is divided, and to generate second sets, each indicating a combination of attribute information indicating the attribute of each area and the position information. The setter is configured to set, based on the second sets, reliability of the attribute of the area of a target second set, from correlation between the attribute of the area of the target second set and the attribute of corresponding areas each indicating the area corresponding to the target area in the areas of the other second sets.
