Vehicular vision system with object detection
A vehicular vision system includes a camera disposed at an in-cabin side of a windshield of a vehicle and viewing forward of the vehicle. The control, responsive at least in part to image processing by an image processor of multiple frames of captured image data, detects an object present exterior of the equipped vehicle that is moving relative to the equipped vehicle. The control receives vehicle motion data indicative of motion of the vehicle when the vehicle is moving. The control, responsive at least in part to the received vehicle motion data, and via image processing of multiple frames of captured image data, determines motion of the detected object relative to the moving vehicle by (i) determining corresponding object points in at least two frames of captured image data and (ii) estimating object motion trajectory of the detected object based at least in part on the determined corresponding object points.
DRIVING ASSISTANCE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DRIVER
A driving assistance system and method for a driver including a sensor that senses a state in front of a vehicle corresponding to a driver's field of vision through a vehicle windshield; a detector that photographs the driver's face and detects an illumination distribution of the face or a state of the driver based on a photographed image of the driver; and a processor that determines whether or not the driver's glare occurs based on the state in front of the vehicle sensed by the sensor and the illumination distribution of the face or the state of the driver detected by the detector are disclosed.
Method and apparatus for operating a camera-monitor system for a motor vehicle
A method for operating a camera-monitor system for a motor vehicle, in which the camera-monitor system has a camera that is designed to provide an image of an environment of the motor vehicle and has a monitor for representing images from the camera comprises providing an image from the camera, ascertaining an attention-relevant object in the environment, temporarily changing at least one representation property of the image in dependence on the ascertained object to form a changed image, and representing the changed image on the monitor.
Outside mirror type display apparatus for vehicle having folding display unit
A display apparatus used for a vehicle is provided. The display apparatus may include a display unit configured to show an external environment around the vehicle and having flexibility, and a housing configured to support the display unit, in which the display unit is folded when the display apparatus is not used, the display unit is unfolded when the display apparatus is used, and an operation of the display unit is performed by a drive unit embedded in the housing.
Rear-view mirror simulation
Systems and methods are provided for generating a rear view image display for a motor vehicle. A rear view system includes an optical sensor disposed at the motor vehicle and configured to capture image data, a computational unit coupled to the optical sensor by a cable connection and configured to execute program instructions stored on a computer-readable medium to modify the image data for presentation, and a display device coupled to the computational unit and configured to receive the modified image data from the computational unit and display the modified image data to a driver of the motor vehicle. The computational unit is further configured to receive software calibration to optimize modification of the image data.
VEHICULAR TRAILERING ASSIST SYSTEM WITH TRAILER COLLISION ANGLE DETECTION
A vehicular trailer assist system includes a camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and having an exterior field of view that includes at least a portion of a trailer hitched to the vehicle. A control, responsive to processing of frames of image data captured by the camera and during a calibration maneuver by the vehicle, determines a trailer template of trailer hitched to the vehicle. The control, during a turning portion of the calibration maneuver, determines a trailer collision angle based on the determined trailer template. The control, after completion of the calibration maneuver, determines a current trailer angle of the trailer relative to the vehicle as the vehicle is driven along a road. The control alerts an operator of the vehicle if the current trailer angle is within a threshold amount of the determined trailer collision angle.
Vehicle vision system camera with adaptive field of view
A vision system for a vehicle includes a camera configured to be disposed at a vehicle so as to have a field of view exterior of the vehicle. The camera includes a wide angle lens providing a field of view of the camera and the camera captures an image data set representative of the field of view of the camera. An image processor may process image data captured by the camera and may process a sub-set of the image data set representative of a sub-portion of the field of view of said camera that is less than the field of view of the camera. A display may display images derived from the sub-set of the image data set representative of the sub-portion of the field of view of the camera. The sub-set of the image data set for processing or display is determined based on steering of the vehicle.
IMAGE PROCESSOR AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
An image processor includes a boundary line detection portion configured to detect a boundary line by using an image in accordance with an image signal acquired by an imaging device, a parking frame detection portion configured to detect a parking frame by using the detected boundary line, an in-frame scanning portion configured to acquire a dividing point that divides a pair of facing sides of the boundary lines that define the parking frame and to scan the image through the dividing point to detect an edge, a storage portion configured to store a state of an edge and an attribute of the parking frame by linking them, and a determination portion configured to determine an attribute of the parking frame by using a state of the detected edge and the stored attribute of the parking frame that is linked to the state of the edge stored in the storage portion.
VEHICLE TRAVEL CONTROL DEVICE
A vehicle cruise control device includes: an arithmetic circuitry and a device circuitry that controls actuation of traveling devices mounted in a vehicle. The arithmetic circuitry is configured to recognize a vehicle external environment; set a route to be traveled by the vehicle; determine a target motion of the vehicle to follow the set route; and generate an image to be displayed for driving assistance, by using an image taken by the camera and information on the recognized vehicle external environment. The control circuitry is configured to control actuation of one or more traveling devices mounted in the vehicle, based on the target motion determined.
OUTSIDE MIRROR TYPE DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A display apparatus used for a vehicle is provided. The display apparatus may include a display unit configured to show an external environment around the vehicle and having flexibility, and a housing configured to support the display unit, in which the display unit is folded when the display apparatus is not used, the display unit is unfolded when the display apparatus is used, and an operation of the display unit is performed by a drive unit embedded in the housing.
