An exercise device with a crank housing supporting a pedal crank having a pair of opposing pedals that are pivotally mounted to the pedal crank. A first strut extends from the crank housing and is jointed to a second strut by a coupling that selectively allows the struts to rotate relative to each other so that the device may be folded into a planar configuration or extended and locked into place for use of the pedal crank. A cross-member is positioned at the end of each strut to form legs for supporting the pedal crank in an upright position. A strap may be coupled to one of the pair of legs for additionally securing the exercise device to an airline seat. A tensioner is associated with the crank housing for selectively increasing and decreasing the force needed to turn the pedal crank.

Lat pulldown fitness device

A lat pulldown fitness device includes a base, a magnetorheological fluid (MRF) resistance provider, a motor, a gear train, pulleys, a cable assembly, a pulldown bar and a controller. The MRF resistance provider and the motor provide a resistance functioning as a load weight of pulling down the pulldown bar. The controller controls a current input to the MRF resistance provider to change the strength of the resistance generated from the MRF resistance provider. During a workout, the resistance provided by the lat pulldown fitness device is changeable precisely, conveniently, and quickly. Unlike its conventional counterparts which require bumper plates for use as weights, the lat pulldown fitness device is not limited to weight adjustment based on unit bumper plate but features plenty choices and controllable resolution in terms of strength of training. The MRF resistance provider is more compact and lightweight than its conventional counterparts.

MULTI-FUNCTIONAL EXERCISE APPARATUS
20170239517 · 2017-08-24 ·

The present invention relates to a multi-functional exercise apparatus, and particularly to a multi-functional exercise apparatus which is safe and allows various exercises with different setups to be performed by means of a single apparatus. The present invention, relating to a multi-functional exercise apparatus provided so as to impart a sense of stability to a user when exercising while at the same time allowing various exercises with different setups to be performed by means of a single apparatus, comprises: a plate-shaped body (A) forming the floor surface and having a space in the interior thereof; fixed frames (100) fixedly disposed upwardly on both sides of the body (A); rotatable frames disposed upwardly on both sides of the body (A); handle parts (200) connected on one side of the rotatable frames and provided so as to be movable forwards and backwards; and a foot plate part rotatably provided on upper surface of the body (A) and connected to the other side of the rotatable frames. The multi-functional exercise apparatus according to the present invention imparts a sense of stability to a user as the rotatable frame comprises a plurality of linked sections and connects the handle parts and foot plate part, allowing the user to exercise by rotating not the entire rotatable frames but only the handle parts which are comparatively short compared to the rotatable frames. Furthermore, each linked section of the rotatable frames is rotatably attached to the handle part or to the side of the fixed frame, allowing the rotatable frames to stably transmit driving power from the handle parts (200) to the foot plate part and to be changed so as to allow various exercises with different setups to be performed.
