Tunnel guard for a snowmobile
A tunnel guard for a tunnel of a snowmobile has first and second arms. Each arm has a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portions of the first and second arms have first and second connection elements respectively for connecting the first end portions of the arms to an interior of the tunnel. At least one member extends from at least one of the arms and is connected to the at least one of the arms. The at least one member has a third connection element for connecting the at least one member to the interior of the tunnel. The third connection element is disposed at a position that is one of: laterally between the first and second arms, and laterally outward of the first and second arms. A snowmobile having a tunnel guard and a method for connecting a tunnel guard are also disclosed.
HEAT EXCHANGER FOR A SNOWMOBILE ENGINE AIR INTAKE
A snowmobile has a frame including an inverted U-shaped tunnel having top, left and right portions at least partly enclosing a space. A drive track, operatively connected to an engine, is disposed around a rear suspension and at least partly in the space. An air intake system has a heat exchanger surface disposed in or adjacent to the space. Air flowing through the intake system contacts the heat exchanger surface to be cooled thereby before entering the engine.
Snowmobile
Various embodiments of a snowmobile are disclosed. The lower arm is arranged below the upper arm. The lower arm includes proximal portions and connected to the ski support frame. The lower arm extends outwardly from the proximal portions and in the vehicle width direction and connects the ski support frame and the ski. The proximal portions and of the lower arm are positioned higher than the lower end of the engine. At least a portion of the lower arm is positioned higher than the rotational center of the crank shaft. This structure can prevent the center of gravity of the vehicle body from becoming high and reduce running resistance when the vehicle traveling in deep snow.
Snowmobile
A cooling system for an internal portion of an engine assembly. The cooling system includes a fan assembly. The fan assembly rotates with a flywheel mounted to a crankshaft.
Passive reduction or elimination of frost and fog with expandable air container
Lens fogging or frosting on an instrument lens may be reduced or prevented by hermetically sealing the instrument housing. Damage or rupture of the hermetically sealed housing due to an increase in pressure within the housing may be avoided while maintaining the hermetic seal by connecting a reservoir having an expandable volume to the housing.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING TAILLIGHT SIGNALS OF A VEHICLE
A system method for detecting taillight signals of a vehicle using a convolutional neural network is disclosed. A particular embodiment includes: receiving a plurality of images from one or more image-generating devices; generating a frame for each of the plurality of images; generating a ground truth, wherein the ground truth includes a labeled image with one of the following taillight status conditions for a right or left taillight signal of the vehicle: (1) an invisible right or left taillight signal, (2) a visible but not illuminated right or left taillight signal, and (3) a visible and illuminated right or left taillight signal; creating a first dataset including the labeled images corresponding to the plurality of images, the labeled images including one or more of the taillight status conditions of the right or left taillight signal; and creating a second dataset including at least one pair of portions of the plurality of images, wherein the at least one pair of portions of the plurality of the images are in temporal succession.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE, SYSTEM
A method for operating a motor vehicle having at least one vehicle communication arrangement fixed to the body. Signals are emitted by a user device, which can be handled independently of the motor vehicle and can be assigned or is assigned to a driver of the motor vehicle, and are received by the vehicle communication arrangement. A distance between the user device and the motor vehicle is monitored on the basis of the received signals. Provision is made for the distance to be monitored during operation of the motor vehicle and for a safety operating state of the motor vehicle to be activated when a distance exceeding a predefined threshold value is detected.
METHOD OF OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE, SYSTEM
A method for operating a motor vehicle. A deviation of a current driving position of a driver of the motor vehicle from an expected reference driving position of the driver is determined, and the motor vehicle is controlled depending on the determined deviation.
Heat exchanger for a snowmobile engine air intake
A snowmobile has a frame including a tunnel, at least one ski, an engine having an engine air inlet and a drive track operatively connected thereto and disposed at least partly below the tunnel around a rear suspension. A heat exchanger connected to the tunnel has a heat exchanger air inlet and a heat exchanger air outlet fluidly communicating with the heat exchanger air inlet and the engine air inlet.
ADJUSTABLE CLAMPING MECHANISM FOR A THROTTLE CONTROL
An adjustable clamping mechanism for a throttle control device on a handlebar of a vehicle includes a throttle lever and a clamp assembly that retains the throttle control device at a desired angular position upon said handlebar. The clamp assembly includes a body having a main section and a secondary section, the secondary section being disposed in a slot of the main section. A clamping member provides a clamping force upon the main section and secondary section. In an engaged position of the clamping member, the clamping member provides a clamping force to retain the throttle lever in a predetermined angular orientation upon said handlebar during operation of said vehicle. In a disengaged position of the clamping member, the clamping member does not provide the clamping force in order to permit the throttle lever to rotate about a longitudinal axis of said handlebar.
