SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING TAILLIGHT SIGNALS OF A VEHICLE
A system method for detecting taillight signals of a vehicle using a convolutional neural network is disclosed. A particular embodiment includes: receiving a plurality of images from one or more image-generating devices; generating a frame for each of the plurality of images; generating a ground truth, wherein the ground truth includes a labeled image with one of the following taillight status conditions for a right or left taillight signal of the vehicle: (1) an invisible right or left taillight signal, (2) a visible but not illuminated right or left taillight signal, and (3) a visible and illuminated right or left taillight signal; creating a first dataset including the labeled images corresponding to the plurality of images, the labeled images including one or more of the taillight status conditions of the right or left taillight signal; and creating a second dataset including at least one pair of portions of the plurality of images, wherein the at least one pair of portions of the plurality of the images are in temporal succession.
POP-UP SHELTER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VEHICLES
An apparatus and method for implementing a vehicle sun and rain shield that converts to a pop-up sheltered compartment. The apparatus semi-permanently attaches to the roof of any vehicle. The device is easy to install and does not interfere with the parking and storage profile of the vehicle. The device is sized to fit within the perimeter of any vehicle roof when deployed. The device is easily opened and closed to provide added sun and rain protection. The device has moveable panels that extend beyond the vehicle roof to provide sun and rain protection. The moveable panels deflect in response to contact. The moveable panels also lock in a position perpendicular with the plane of the roof to provide the pop-up sheltered compartment. The sheltered compartment is useful for storing items or providing temporary shelter for users.
AIR DUCT APPARATUS
An air duct apparatus includes a bendable piece of material having at least three flat segments and at least two tabs. The lower segment points in a downward direction to facilitate air flow through the air duct apparatus. The upper segment points in an upward direction to facilitate air flow to the motor compartment. The middle segment is parallel to a portion of a ground surface. One of the at least two tabs is located on a right side of the bendable piece of material and a second of the at least two tabs is located on a left side of the bendable piece of material. The horizontal-one-tab-flat segment and the horizontal-second-tab-flat-segment may be to be coupled to a bottom surface of the vehicle. The air duct apparatus provides a cooling effect to the motor compartment of the vehicle by directing air towards the motor compartment.
Collapsible wheels and methods of making collapsible wheels
Embodiments of collapsible wheels and methods of making collapsible wheels are generally described herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
Portable rain and sun shield for a covered golf cart
A rain and sun shield for a covered golf cart semi-permanently attached to the roof of a golf cart. The idevice is easy to install; will retrofit to any standard golf cart roof; does not interfere with the parking and storing profile of a fleet of golf carts. The device is easily opened and closed to provide the golf cart user with added sun and rain protection when in use.
Kart
A kart having a pedal speed controller and other components and arrangements thereof are disclosed. The kart can be provided with a controller for controlling speed; the pedal speed controller comprising a pedestal and a pedal, one end of the pedal is articulated with the pedestal and keeps a certain angle with the pedestal. The pedal speed controller also comprises a sensor connected with the controller, and the sensor can obtain displacement signal along the tread direction of the pedal. The pedal speed controller has the advantages of realizing pedal control of acceleration or deceleration for drivers, avoiding interference with manual adjustment of kart direction, preventing from mutual influence between speed regulation and steering, improving the speed control performance of the kart, and improving the driving experience.
COLLAPSIBLE WHEELS AND METHODS OF MAKING COLLAPSIBLE WHEELS
Embodiments of collapsible wheels and methods of making collapsible wheels are generally described herein. The collapsible wheels can each comprise a plurality of wheel sections, a plurality of rims, and spokes connecting the plurality of wheel sections to the plurality of rim portions. The plurality of rim portions are positioned along a perimeter of a circle that defines a central plane of the wheel. Each wheel section supports one or more spokes that connect to one or more of the rim portions. The wheel sections are rotatable relative to each other around an axis from a collapsed configuration to an expanded position. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
Standing electric golfboard
A motorized golfboard with bi-axle four wheel steering controlled by the horizontal force applied to a stability bar extending vertically from golfboard's frame. Steering this way is accomplished using three design features. First, a vertically angled pivot point behind the front wheel assembly and one in front of the rear wheel assembly. Second, structurally, the front and rear axles lie beyond the front and rear of the golfboard deck and frame. Third, the pivot points are centered on spring plates extending angularly upward from the horizontal, bottom face of the frame of the golfboard, so as to be disposed at an acute angle with respect to the deck of the golfboard. In combination, these three features work to allow the inboard wheels to move closer together and the outboard wheels to move further apart when the stability bar is forced to the side.
