A pocket on or in a piece of apparel for carrying and storing a mobile phone or similar battery powered electronic device in cold temperatures is disclosed. An exothermic device is placed in proximity either within the same pocket compartment or in a separate pocket in close proximity. The heat generated by the exothermic device prevents battery degradation at these temperatures.

Infusion pump assembly

A removable power supply cover assembly (116) for an infusion pump is disclosed. The assembly includes a housing body configured to removably attach to an infusion pump, a conductor assembly (1020) attached to the housing body, a power supply contact assembly, and a spring (1002) attached to the power supply contact assembly and the conductor assembly. An electrical coupling between a power supply to the conductor assembly is formed through the spring.

Frame for an electrochemical energy-storage unit

The present invention relates to a process for producing frame elements for a frame for holding and arranging electrochemical cells in an electrochemical energy-storage unit. The present invention also relates to the use of certain plastics mixtures for producing said frame elements. The frame elements or frames of the invention are particularly preferably used in electrochemical energy-storage units with high power density. Electrochemical energy-storage units of this type with high power density are more particularly used for the operation of motor vehicles with electrical drive, for example in vehicles which are driven on the “hybrid” principle (electrical drive and internal combustion engine), and are also preferably used for exclusively or primarily electrically operated vehicles. It is preferable here to use, as electrochemical energy-storage units with high power density, lithium-ion batteries or lithium-polymer batteries.

Film covered battery and method for screening same

A film covered battery has a battery element equipped with a plurality of electrode plates laminated via separators, and an exterior film for hermetically sealing the battery element. A cover film is attached to a hollow present in predetermined regions set on a surface of the exterior film. The predetermined regions are regions obtained by removing overlap regions from projected regions obtained by projecting the electrode plates to the surface of the exterior film, the overlap regions being regions where the projected regions overlap with members interposed between the electrode plates at the outermost layers and the exterior film. It is possible to cover the hollow on the surface, without increasing the thickness of the film covered battery.

A battery assembly includes a housing defining a plenum having an inlet, and a row of battery cells disposed within the housing. Each adjacent pair of the cells defines a gap in fluid communication with the plenum. The gaps proximate to the inlet are narrower than the gaps distant from the inlet to promote generally equalized flow of fluid through the gaps.

The invention relates to a mass-decoupling device for a motor vehicle, having: a mass-receiving element (10) and a mass object (11) accommodated therein, which mass-receiving element (10) and mass object (11) are point symmetrically formed and mounted opposite a body (36) of the motor vehicle; at least one guide means (13) that moveably mounts the mass-receiving element (10) and the mass object (11) accommodated therein along a longitudinal axis (L) of the vehicle; decoupling means (14) designed to decouple the mass-receiving element (10) and the mass object (11) accommodated therein from the body (36) of the motor vehicle; first energy-receiving means (15) designed to transmit kinetic energy of a movement of the mass-receiving element (10) and the mass object (11) accommodated therein to the body (36) of the motor vehicle in a predetermined time interval, said movement occurring along the longitudinal axis (L) of the vehicle, from a first position (P1) to a second position (P2); and second energy receiving means (16) designed to convert, at least partially, the kinetic energy of the movement of the mass-receiving element (10) and the mass object (11) accommodated therein along the longitudinal axis (L) of the vehicle into kinetic energy of a rotation of the mass object (11). The invention also relates to a corresponding method for decoupling mass for a motor vehicle.
