BUTTON CELL HAVING WINDING ELECTRODE AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
A rechargeable button cell having a height-to-diameter ratio less than one, including two metal housing halves separated from one another by an electrically insulating seal or film seal forming a housing having a plane bottom region and a plane top region parallel thereto is disclosed. The housing contains an electrode separator assembly comprising a positive electrode and a negative electrode inside the housing, the electrode separator assembly being provided in the form of a winding, end sides of which face in a direction of the plane bottom region and the plane top region such that layers of the electrode separator assembly are oriented essentially orthogonally to the plane bottom region and plane top region.
BATTERIES FOR USE IN IMPLANTABLE MEDICAL DEVICES
Multi-cell battery packs can be made safer with certain features that mitigate the consequences of cell failure. Parameters of a cell are monitored to determine when the cell should be disconnected from the pack in case of a fault. The battery is reconfigured to continue operating in a safer mode. An over-charging prevention system reduces the maximum voltage that remaining battery pack can be charged to, so that the cells do not overcharge. Additional circuitry allows the disconnected cell to be periodically reconnected to the battery pack to determine if its conditions have sufficiently improved. The cells also include components for self-powering these cell functions while it is disconnected from the rest of the circuit.

An energy storage device includes: a casing 30 having an opening; an energy storage element 20 housed in the casing 30; a lid plate 40 mounted in the opening of the casing 30; a positive electrode terminal member 100 and a negative electrode terminal member 71 integrally fixed to the lid plate 40 in an insulation state by an insulating synthetic resin; a positive electrode current collector 60P configured to electrically connect the energy storage element 20 and the positive electrode terminal member 100 to each other; and a negative electrode current collector 60N configured to electrically connect the energy storage element 20 and the negative electrode terminal member 71 to each other, wherein an easy-to-break portion 65 is formed on at least either one of the positive electrode terminal member 100 or the positive electrode current collector 60P.
Top Cover Of Power Battery And Power Battery
This application provides a top cover of a power battery and a power battery, the top cover includes a top cover sheet, a first electrode unit and a second electrode unit, the first electrode unit includes a turning sheet, an insulating piece and a current cutting-off structure, the current cutting-off structure is fixed in radial projection range of an assembling hole and is electrically connected with the top cover sheet, the turning sheet is fixed at an underneath of the top cover sheet through the insulating piece, the turning sheet is electrically connected with the top cover sheet merely through the current cutting-off structure, and the turning sheet is capable of turning and breaking the current cutting-off structure when an internal pressure of the power battery exceeds a reference pressure, so as to cut off an electrical connection of the current cutting-off structure with the top cover sheet.
BATTERY UTILIZING DEVICE CAVITY
An electronic device, including a housing that is metal or lined with an electrically conductive material, at least one electrical component, and a battery cell positioned in a cavity in the outer housing, the battery cell integrated into the electronic device. The battery cell includes a first current collector and an active cell core. The first current collector is the electrically conductive material of the outer housing of the electronic device and connects to the at least one electrical component. The active cell core includes a first active material in adjacent facing relation to and electrically coupled to the first current collector, a second active material; a separator positioned between the first active material and the second active material; and a second current collector electrically coupled with the second active material, wherein the second current collector connects to the at least one electrical component.
Connecting pole for a rechargeable battery and rechargeable battery housing
A connecting pole for a rechargeable battery is disclosed. The connecting pole (1) has a connecting section (2) in which a pole terminal can be attached to the connecting pole (1). The connecting pole (1) has an attachment section (3) in which the connecting pole (1) can be attached in a housing part (5) of the battery. The attachment section (3) has a labyrinth section (4). The outer wall (6) of the connecting pole (1) has at least one circumferential projection (7, 8) in the labyrinth section (4). The circumference of outer wall (6) of the connecting pole (1) increases in the direction pointing away from the connecting section (2) in a section of the labyrinth section (4) which is not provided with a circumferential projection (7, 8). Also disclosed is a rechargeable battery housing or a part of said rechargeable battery housing having at least one connecting pole.
Method for manufacturing film-packaged cell
A film-packaged cell has a flat rectangular shape where power-generating element is housed in packaging body together with an electrolytic solution, the film-packaged cell being sealed along four edges of the packaging body in a state where terminals are led out through one edge thereof. In an electrolyte injection step, the electrolytic solution is injected into bag-shaped body where three edges excluding the upper edge of the packaging body are sealed in an orientation where the terminals are protruding laterally, the electrolytic solution being injected from the side of the opening upper edge. In a partial sealing step performed before the electrolyte injection step, only one section of opening upper edge of the bag-shaped body near edge through which terminals are led out is partially sealed, thereby preventing the electrolytic solution from leaking out during electrolyte injection.
Battery pack
A battery pack includes: a bare cell including an electrode terminal on a first surface thereof; a holder at the first surface and including a fixing groove at an upper surface thereof; a protection circuit module at the fixing groove and electrically connected to the bare cell; and a protection member attached to the protection circuit module. The protection member is attached to an upper surface of the protection circuit module, and the upper surface is at a lower height than upper edges of the fixing groove. An upper surface of the protection member is at a height that is the same as or lower than a height of edges of the holder.
