Pouch type rechargeable battery
A pouch-type rechargeable battery includes an electrode assembly performing charging and discharging, a pouch forming a sealing portion at a side surface of a cell body receiving the electrode assembly by sealing an outer portion thereof and forming a terrace drawing out a first lead tab and a second lead tab connected to the electrode assembly at the other side surface of the cell body, and an insulation tape insulating the sealing portion from the cell body and including a short circuit check hole adjacent to the end of the terrace. The insulation tape insulates both side ends of the end.
Flexible folding battery cover
Battery covers and methods for producing battery covers are described. One battery cover described herein includes a single sheet of material formed into a substantially rectangular box shape with an opening formed along one side, the rectangular box shape capable of being folded into a flattened shape for transportation and the material including a flexible laminate of at least one layer of synthetic fiber and a polymer film layer. The material has a thickness and other properties such that when the battery cover is unfolded, the material substantially maintains the rectangular box shape, and when the battery cover is folded into the flattened shape, the material maintains a spring force such that, unless restrained, the battery cover would unfold to the rectangular box shape.
Lithium-ion secondary battery
A lithium-ion secondary battery includes: an electrode body in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are stacked or wound through a separator; a plurality of positive electrode tabs drawn from the electrode body; a plurality of negative electrode tabs drawn from the electrode body; a joint portion between the positive electrode tabs and a positive electrode lead tab; and a joint portion between the negative electrode tabs and a negative electrode lead tab. Apart of a metal plate is disposed on a surface of the positive electrode tab or positive electrode lead tab in the joint portion and on a surface of the negative electrode tab or negative electrode lead tab in the joint portion and joined integrally thereto, and a remaining part of the metal plate is wound around the joint portions.
Flexible secondary battery
A flexible secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly including a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, and a separator between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer; a gasket having flexibility and surrounding edges of the electrode assembly; a first sealing sheet attached to a first surface of the gasket; and a second sealing sheet attached to a second surface of the gasket facing away from the first surface, wherein an uneven pattern is at a bendable area of the gasket.
Terminal component and method of manufacturing terminal component
A terminal component includes an external terminal that is provided above a cover covering an electrode body; and an internal terminal that is provided below the cover and extends through a through-hole of the external terminal. A part of the internal terminal protrudes above the external terminal. A dimension of the part of the internal terminal in a radial direction of the through-hole is larger than a diameter of the through-hole. The external terminal has a joint surface that is a first part of an upper surface of the external terminal and that is joined to the internal terminal, and a non-joint surface that is a second part of the upper surface of the external terminal and that is located outside the joint surface. The joint surface is located higher than at least part of the non-joint surface.
BATTERY MODULE
A battery module includes an array body in which a plurality of battery cells are arranged, a plurality of harnesses extending in an array direction of the battery cells in the array body and having connecting terminals of tips connected to electrode terminals of the predetermined battery cells, and a binding member configured to bind the plurality of harnesses in a harness bundle, wherein the harnesses branched off from the binding member have flexure between a position at which the harnesses are bound by the binding member and connecting positions of the electrode terminals and the connecting terminals.
SECONDARY BATTERY
A secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly, a case accommodating the electrode assembly, and an electrode tab electrically connected to the electrode assembly and extending from inside of the electrode assembly to outside of the case. The electrode tab has different thicknesses at the inside of the electrode assembly and the outside of the electrode assembly.
Portable battery pack comprising a battery enclosed by a wearable and replaceable pouch or skin
A portable battery pack comprising a battery enclosed by a wearable and replaceable pouch or skin is disclosed, wherein the pouch or skin can be provided in different colors and/or patterns. Further, the pouch or skin can be MOLLE-compatible. The battery comprises a battery element housed between a battery cover and a back plate, wherein the battery element, battery cover, and back plate have a slight curvature or contour. Further, the battery comprises flexible leads.
THERMAL INSULATION OF A BATTERY HAVING AN ELEVATED OPERATING TEMPERATURE
A battery housing including at least one interior space for accommodating at least one battery, and including at least one contact element which, in a connection position, establishes a connection to a counter-contact element, the connection passing through the battery housing out of the interior space and/or into the interior space, the connection being cut off in an out-of-contact position with the counter-contact element, the counter-contact element being situated on an insulation component movable relative to the battery housing, which is movable from a first position, in which the counter-contact element and the contact element are in the connection position, into a second position, in which the counter-contact element and the contact element are in the out-of-contact position, the contact element being thermally insulated in the out-of-contact position by the insulation component.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
A rechargeable battery includes: an electrode assembly configured to charge and discharge a current; a pouch accommodating the electrode assembly; and a lead tab electrically connected to the electrode assembly. The pouch includes, when viewed in plan view, a first straight line portion and a second straight line portion that is longer than the first straight line portion, and the lead tab is drawn out through the first straight line
