METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR FLEXIBLE BANDWIDTH OPERATION
Methods and apparatus for flexible bandwidth operation in a wireless communication network are provided. A User Equipment (UE) monitors a first set of resources for a first control channel in a first bandwidth region. In response, to detecting the first control channel, the UE monitors a second set of resources in a second bandwidth region for at least one of control information or data, the second bandwidth region larger than the first bandwidth region, wherein the monitoring the second set of resources for the control information includes monitoring the second set of resources for a second control channel for receiving the control information scheduling resources for receiving the data.
APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD OF TERMINATING A NEIGHBOR AWARENESS NETWORKING (NAN) PATH
Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of terminating a Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) path. For example, an apparatus may include logic and circuitry configured to cause a first NAN device to transmit a message including a NAN Data Link (NDL) attribute corresponding to an NDL with a second NAN device, the NDL attribute including a Maximal (Max) Idle Period field to indicate a time period during which the second NAN device is allowed to refrain from transmitting over the NDL without the NDL being terminated; and to allow the first NAN device to terminate all NAN Data Paths (NDPs) over the NDL, if any frame is not received from the second NAN device for at least the time period indicated by the Max Idle Period field.
Electronic device with wireless path selection capability
A portable encoded information reading (EIR) terminal for incorporation in a data collection system can comprise a terminal module communicatively coupled to a wireless interface module via a wired interface. The terminal module can include a central processing unit (CPU), a memory, and an encoded information reading (EIR) device. The wireless interface module can include a microcontroller, a memory, and at least one wireless communication interface. The wireless interface module can establish one or more wireless links with one or more peer EIR terminals, to join a wireless network which is collectively formed by the peer EIR terminals. The wireless interface module can receive or transmit beacons containing at least an identifier of a path selection protocol which is used for unicast, multicast and broadcast frame transmission within the wireless network.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SETTING AN INACTIVITY TIMER
A method in an access point (AP) for setting an inactivity timer in a radio communication network comprising the AP, a mobile management entity (MME) and a session management entity (SME). The method includes obtaining an inactivity timer value for one or more user equipments (UEs) served by the AP and transmitting the inactivity timer value to the MME for notifying the SME of the inactivity timer value for the one or more UEs. For each of the one or more UEs, the AP and the SME respectively maintain an inactivity timer associated with the UE based on the inactivity timer value and remove resources locally used for the UE when the inactivity timer expires.
COMMUNICATING IN A SECOND CHANNEL WHILE CEASING TRANSMISSION IN A FIRST CHANNEL
In some examples, a wireless device receives, from an access point (AP), information indicating that the wireless device is to cease transmission in a first channel. In response to the information, the wireless device communicates with the AP in a second channel that is a subset of the first channel, during a time interval in which the wireless device is to cease transmission in the first channel.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING NETWORK ACCESS IN DIRECTIONAL COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
A radio unit (RU) in a directional communication network establishes a connection with a first antenna among two antennas of a first TE in a first moving object that first enters a serving duration of the RU according to a network access request from the first antenna, and when receiving the network access request from a second antenna among two antennas of a second TE in a second moving object that next enters the serving duration, the RU processes the network access request from the second antenna based on network access priority of the second antenna and network access priority of the first antenna to which the connection is established.
ESTIMATING INTERVALS AT WHICH TO TRANSMIT KEEP-ALIVE MESSAGES FROM A WIRELESS STATION TO AN ACCESS POINT
A wireless station (STA) of a wireless network operates to estimate intervals at which to transmit keep-alive messages to an access point (AP) with which the STA is associated. The STA receives a de-authentication frame from the AP. The de-authentication frame indicates that the AP has disassociated the STA due to inactivity. The STA determines a keep-alive interval based on one or more de-authenticated messages, including the de-authentication frame. The STA transmits keep-alive messages according to the determined keep-alive interval.
Network proxy for energy efficient video streaming on mobile devices
Examples of systems and methods for network proxy server for energy efficient video streaming on mobile devices are generally described herein. A proxy server to deliver video content may include a communication module to intercept a request for video content from a mobile device, the request for video content intended for a content server and forward a modified request for the video content to the content server. The communication module may receive the video content from the content server and transfer a portion of the video content to the mobile device using a multipath transport protocol.
METHOD FOR MANAGING DEVICE-TO-DEVICE (D2D) COMMUNICATION GROUP, DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Disclosed is a method for managing a device-to-device (D2D) communication group. The method comprises: a network side device establishes a D2D communication group, and delivers a shared key generated for the D2D communication group to all the devices in the D2D communication group, the shared key being used for D2D communication of all the devices; and the network side device determines that the D2D communication group terminates the D2D communication, and deletes the D2D communication group and the shared key. Also disclosed are a device and a computer storage medium.
Method and Apparatus for Determining to Suspend Service, and Method and Apparatus for Processing Instruction Information
Provided are a method and device for determining a service to be suspended, the method includes that: a predetermined network element determines a suspending criterion for selecting a Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS) required to be suspended; the predetermined network element judges whether an MBMS meeting the suspending criterion exists or not according to the determined suspending criterion; and under the condition that a judgment result is YES, the predetermined network element determines the MBMS as the MBMS required to be suspended, and notifies an Evolved Node B (eNB), wherein the eNB refers to all eNBs participating in Multimedia Broadcast multicast service Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) transmission in an MBSFN area where the MBMS required to be suspended is located.
