In a group of motor vehicles of one vehicle type with three different drive concepts (“internal combustion drive”, “electric drive” or “hybrid drive”), the architecture of the motor vehicles having an electric drive is used to produce the motor vehicles of all three drive concepts. Irrespective of the drive concept, two variations of an elevated floor panel assembly are used, each of the two floor panel assemblies having a frame-like supporting structure. The first floor panel assembly is provided for the vehicles having an electric drive. Here, the battery is used as a supporting structural component and significantly takes over the reinforcement of the frame-like floor panel assembly. A second floor panel assembly is provided for the vehicles having a hybrid drive and having an internal combustion drive. In the second floor panel assembly, at least one reinforcing additional component is provided in order to provide sufficient structural rigidity.

A land vehicle includes a frame structure having a front cage that defines an operator cabin and a rear floor positioned rearward of the front cage. The frame structure supports a plurality of wheels to permit movement of the vehicle relative to an underlying surface in use of the land vehicle. An underside of the frame structure is disposed in confronting relation with the underlying surface.

The upper connector is configured to engage a rear wall of a cab of the military vehicle.

Processes for producing an electric vehicle include manufacture of a lower body skateboard platform including at least energy storage/conversion (batteries within a ladder frame), propulsion, suspension and wheels, steering, crash protection, and braking, and manufacture of a top hat upper portion including at least the vehicle cabin housing various interior components such as passenger seats, frame covers, and a roof headliner, together with steering and acceleration controls. The upper body portion and the lower body platform are manufactured separately in parallel and then merged, which allows for ease of manufacture and a more compact design.
