A golf club counter-weighting system, viable for both original manufacture and after-marketing, features an expandable weight assembly that is easily installed at a designated location within a golf club shaft and expanded via a user tool so as to become reliably secured in place by frictional pressure against the surrounding shaft. In a primary embodiment, the weight assembly is made to be threadedly engagable by the opposite end of a dual-function user tool enabling the weight assembly, when unexpanded, to be conveniently moved axially for initial installation, relocation and/or removal.

GOLF CLUB HEAD WITH IMPROVED INERTIA PERFORMANCE AND REMOVABLE AFT BODY COUPLED BY METAL-COMPOSITE JOINT

A golf club head that is capable improving on the inertia properties of a golf club head all while also improving the Center of Gravity (CG) location is disclosed herein. The golf club head includes a frontal portion and a rear portion formed of a thermoplastic composite material. The thermoplastic composite material is mechanically captured by at least one first attachment feature provided in the frontal portion such that the thermoplastic composite material may be joined to the frontal portion without the use of additional adhesives or external fasteners.

FLEXIBLE GRIP AND CAP THEREFOR

The disclosure describes a flexible tubular grip for a golf club, particularly a putter, having the tubular portion formed of relatively soft elastomer with a closure or end cap molded therewith or pre-cured and attached over the end of the tubular portion. The end cap has a raised ridge extending about a portion of the end cap periphery and may have a raised discrete central portion, both of which absorb impact when the club is dropped into a golf bag.

Golf club

A golf club comprises: a golf club shaft extending from its first end to second end in its axis direction; a golf club head attached to the second end of the golf club shaft; a grip attach to the first end of the golf club shaft and having a grip end; and a weight member attached to the golf club shaft. The specific gravity of the weight member is 2.5 or more. The length of the weight member is 20 mm or less. The weight member is disposed in a grip-end portion of the golf club shaft so that a mass distribution in the axis direction of the grip-end portion has a local maximum occurring at a position within the grip-end portion, wherein the grip-end portion is defined as extending from the grip end toward the second end by 40 mm in the axis direction.

The invention described herein is an iron-type golf club head having an optimized mass distribution while also having the aesthetics of a full muscle-back iron. The iron-type golf club head comprises a main club head body, a lightweight, back-cavity insert, and a void within the lightweight, back-cavity insert configured to receive a CTP weight capable of adjusting mass characteristics of the iron-type golf club head.

A ball bat includes at least one disc member in the bat barrel. The at least one disc member may include at least one solid disc member or at least one non-solid disc member with an opening, or both. The outer perimeters of the disc members may optionally be separated from the inner wall of the ball bat by a buffer layer, such as a layer of open-cell foam or adhesive. In some embodiments, the ball bat may further include at least one positioning member, such as an insulation foam member. The at least one positioning member may be located between two disc members, and multiple positioning members may optionally be arranged in alternating fashion with disc members within the bat. The at least one positioning member may be an insulation foam member having a hollow center portion.

A sports wrist trainer comprising a first elongated swing member with grip attached to a second elongated swing member with head by means of a one way 90 degree hinge, and an elastic return means that returns and holds said swing members at a ninety degree angle one to the other. According to alternative embodiments, the wrist trainer is a bat used for learning batting swings or a golf club used for learning golf swings. The one way hinge rotates to provide a trainer having different swing configurations and to maintain the bat or club head facing the ball at impact just like at address. The elastic return means may be removed and the trainer used without it. A second one way 90 degree rotating hinge can be added to the first providing additional versatility and accommodating both right and left handed golfers.

A sleeve fits over the barrel of a bat. The sleeve defines an opening such that, when the sleeve is applied to the bat, a significant portion of the barrel of the bat is revealed. The sleeve is made of a light-weight, sound-dampening material, such that when the batter hits a pitched ball in an area of the bat covered by the sleeve, the normal “crack” or “ping” of the ball hitting the bat is not heard. Instead, the batter hears a duller, less sharp sound, providing immediate feedback to the batter that he/she did not hit the ball in the desired area of the bat.
