BASEBALL TRAINING APPARATUS
20230035887 · 2023-02-02 ·

A training apparatus includes a base, a main stem, and an auxiliary arm. The main stem and detachable auxiliary arm create a double batting tee within a single unit. The height of the auxiliary arm is adjustable independent of the main stem and has the ability to swivel around the main stem. The auxiliary arm is curved and situated at a fixed horizontal position from the main stem. The weighted base includes a handle and detachable tee for ease of transport. The base was designed to be able to secure the weight of both tee stems without toppling over. A specially designed clamp was designed to secure and detach the auxiliary arm to the main stem. The clamp can be loosened to adjust the height of the auxiliary arm in relation to the main stem.

The ball-projecting batting tee comprises a support base, a support column, and a remote control. The ball-projecting batting tee may be a batting practice aid that may be placed on top of home plate and may pneumatically project a ball upwards from the top of the support column to simulate a pitch. The ball-projecting batting tee may be adapted to project the ball upwards under the control of a coach using the remote control. As non-limiting examples, the ball may be a baseball or a whiffle ball. A directional cover located at the top of the support column may pivot to direct the ball towards first base or towards third base to simulate outside and inside pitches.

Baseball hitting tee

A baseball hitting/training device consisting of a hitting tee and a baseball. The ball is preferably permanently bonded/molded to a spring. In a preferred arrangement, the ball rests upon an upper tee shaft segment which acts to protect the spring. A length of the spring extends from the ball, through the upper tee shaft segment and into a middle tee shaft segment. A retainer fastens the spring to the middle tee shaft segment. The middle tee shaft segment is inserted into a lower tee shaft segment. The lower tee shaft segment is fixed to a base. When hit with a bat, the baseball remains attached to the tee by the spring and then springs back to its original upright position.

The baseball/softball hitting training device includes a base, a frame body, and a ball suspension system. The ball suspension system is supported by the frame body. The frame body includes a vertical stem portion and an offset portion. An upwardly-projecting arm of the vertical stem and a downwardly-projecting arm of the offset portion define a vertical axis between them. The ball suspension system is supported between the upwardly-projecting arm and downwardly-projecting arm, with the ball held vertically intermedially via a tether in alignment with the vertical axis and positioned to allow the player to practice hitting. In some aspects, a height-adjustment mechanism and/or additional coupling assemblies are also disclosed. The tethered-ball training device can optionally be converted to a tee-ball training device.

An Internet of Thing (IoT) device includes a body with a processor, a camera and a wireless transceiver coupled to the processor.

PROJECTION SYSTEM AND PROJECTION CALIBRATION METHOD USING THE SAME

A projection system includes a control module, a projection tube, an aiming driver, an observation device and an observation driver. The control module is configured to issue a first control command and a second control command. The aiming driver is electrically connected to the projection tube and configured to control, in response to the first control command, a projection viewing-line of the projection tube to be aligned with a calibration point. The observation driver is electrically connected to the observation device and configured to control, in response to the second control command, an observation viewing-line of the observation device to be aligned with the calibration point. The projection tube and the observation device are controlled asynchronously.

DEVICE FOR HITTING PRACTICE

A device for practicing hitting a ball may comprise a bat and a flag portion. The bat may comprise a bat stick comprising a bat handle and a bat barrel coupled to the bat handle; and a weight coupled to the bat barrel. The bat may comprise a rigid material. The flag portion may comprise a flag coupled to the bat barrel, wherein the flag is configured to extend from the bat barrel. The flag may comprise a flimsy material.

SPLIT GRIP TRAINING BAT

A split grip baseball bat for use in training batters to hit breaking or off-speed pitches with proper form comprises a barrel shaft with optional foam attachment on a distal end forking into two handles on the proximate end, the two handles each comprising a longitudinal axis not concentric to the longitudinal axis of the barrel shaft. The two handles may be welded onto a non-standard barrel shaft, or alternatively, clamped onto the barrel shaft of an existing bat, and may comprise a U-shaped, L-shaped, or horseshoe-shaped curvature.

Swing alert system and method

A swing alert system disposed about a baseball setup that includes a pitcher and a batter, with one or more swing alert device that determine a speed and position of a ball along a flightpath of the ball pitched by the pitcher, the flightpath extending from the pitcher to a hitting location target proximate to the batter; determine a time when the ball will reach the hitting location target based at least in part on the determined speed and position of the ball along the flightpath; and generate a swing alert while the ball is traveling along the flightpath and before the ball reaches the hitting location target. The swing alert is generated at a time determined based at least in part on the determined time when the ball will reach the hitting location target and a defined swing time associated with the batter.

A pitching target assembly for training baseball or softball pitchers. A target defines a plurality of zones, each being backed by a pocket or pouch for catching the baseball or softball. The height of the target can be adjusted to match that of a batter. The zones of the target may be adjusted as well, to tailor the targeting within the zone for specific purposes. The target may also be configured at an acute angle relative to a base plane of the pitching target assembly for practicing drop pitches.
