SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A USER ADAPTIVE TRAINING AND GAMING PLATFORM
A method for adaptive user training and gaming utilizing a media player is disclosed. The method includes operations of receiving, by control logic, data pertaining to selection of a first training program, transmitting, by the control logic, media instructions to cause activation of a media player configured to display visual data corresponding to the first training program, and transmitting, by the control logic, ball-throwing instructions to cause activation of a ball-throwing machine configured to impart motion to one or more balls in accordance with the first training program. The method includes additional operations of recording, by the control logic, an indication of the first training program in a player profile. Additional operations includes recording, by the control logic, training data indicating metrics associated with performance of the first training program.
SOCCER TRAINER NET
A soccer training net includes a frame having an upper portion and a lower portion, a generally rectangular net having a bottom edge and a top edge, and a lower elastic member having a first end, a second end, and a medial section that extends between the ends. The medial section is coupled with and extends along the bottom edge of the net. Each end is coupled the lower portion of the frame. Upper coupling members extend between and are coupled with the upper portion of the frame and corners of the top edge of the net. The frame does not include a member that extends along the bottom edge of the net such that the medial section of the lower elastic member and the bottom edge of the net are suspended between the sides of the lower portion of the frame.
TRAINING SYSTEM AND METHOD UTILIZING A GAZE-TRACKING SYSTEM
A training system and method utilizing a gaze-tracking system are provided. An optical sensor and a scene camera are installed on a headgear, such as a football helmet, worn by a user. The optical sensor tracks eye movements of the user while wearing the headgear, and the scene camera is directed in a forward-facing direction to record the field of view of the user. Video of the field of view is recorded while the user's eye movements are simultaneously tracked in real time during a training exercise. The point of gaze of the user is then graphically superimposed onto the video. Thus, the video allows a coach to evaluate the performance of the user based on the user's visual focal point throughout the training exercise. The system may be used to train a quarterback in quickly and accurately assessing a play and delivering a ball to a receiver.
SMART SOCCER GOAL
A smart soccer goal for tracking and communicating motion of objects includes a goal frame; a net coupled to the goal frame including a plurality of lights; and one or more sensors coupled to the goal frame. A first sensor of the one or more sensors is directed to detecting movement within and immediately near the smart soccer goal and a second sensor of the one or more sensors is directed to detecting movement outside of the smart soccer goal.
Weighted Soccer Training Ball
The present invention discloses a soccer training ball with an outer covering of ball that consists of a plurality of panels disposed between two opposing apex panels. The plurality of panels encircles the spherical ball each panel substantially extending the diameter of the spherical ball between the outer peripheral edge of the pair of opposing apex panels. The opposing apex members are preferably polygonal shape.
SPORT TRAINING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A sport training apparatus, such as for hockey or soccer (e.g. football) having an elongated base member and one or more stick members coupled to the elongated base member. One or more support members extend from under the elongated base member to rest on a training surface. A projectile, such as a puck, may pass under the elongated base member. The stick members may have an angle from about 0-degrees to about 180-degrees with respect to the elongated base member.
Modular exercise apparatus
An exercise apparatus with base horizontal members forming a base polygon and ceiling horizontal members forming a ceiling polygon and a plurality of vertical members mounted at their lower ends to the base polygon and mounting the ceiling polygon spaced from the base polygon. A human interface permits athletes to exercise, and wheels mounted to the base polygon permit transport of the apparatus and attached equipment to a field or court. The base polygon includes two parallel skids and the human interface may be a pad permitting an athlete to push the apparatus horizontally when none or two of the wheels contact the ground. When no wheels contact the ground, the apparatus may be used in the manner of a weight rack, because the apparatus will not move along the ground without substantial force being applied.
Retractable cord system
This invention is directed toward a portable and easy to set up retractable cord system with means to allow athletes to move along specified routes and to form space indicators that show zone areas.
WEIGHTED SHIN GUARD
A weighted shin guard is designed to be worn during exercise for building strength, endurance and speed. The weighted shin guard moves the weight from the ankle to the shin, where it is no longer putting a strain on the ankle joint and affecting joint movement. The weighted shin guard is similar in size and shape to traditional shin guards, and can be worn discreetly, unlike other conventional ankle or shin strapped weights. In addition, the weighted shin guard includes the built-in functionality of protecting the shin from impact, enabling the user to switch seamlessly between traditional shin guards and weighted shin guards.
SPORTS BALL HAVING ELECTRONICS AND METHOD FOR MAKING
A sports ball may include a bladder having one or more pockets attached thereto wherein the pockets have holes for allowing air to escape the pockets. The pockets may include insert(s) such as sensors, a battery or a microprocessor. The pockets may also include one or more damping members to further protect the insert(s).
