Apparatus used for water sport, information providing method, and program storage medium
A user performing a water sport is appropriately supported. A wrist terminal includes an LCD and an output control unit. The output control unit measures a time from when a swell of a wave occurs or passes until the swell breaks. In addition, the output control unit causes the LCD to display time information of the measured time.
AMUSEMENT APPARATUS PROVIDING CONTINUOUS WAVE MOTION
An amusement apparatus having a primary structure which receives and supports a first belt which spans in a longitudinal direction between belt supports and in a transverse direction; the first belt having an upper surface and an underside surface; a sub structure having at least two spaced apart pulleys which accommodate a secondary belt having inner and outer surfaces and which in use, travels about said at least two pulleys; the inner surface of the secondary belt engaging the at least two spaced apart pulleys. The outer surface of the secondary belt having at least one outstanding formation which engages the underside surface of the primary belt during at least part of travel of the secondary belt about said at least two pulleys, thereby inducing in the primary belt a contour which substantially conforms to the shape of said at least one formation of the secondary belt.
WAKESURF SURFBOARD TRAINING DEVICE
A training device for balancing on boards is provided. The training device may be particularly suitable for the young, those with low body mass, or those lacking sufficient strength to enable them to stand on wakesurf boards and participate in the pastime of wakesurfing. A wakesurf board training device is disclosed that may include a pair of heel supports, each heel support having a main body configured to be secured to a wakesurf board, and the main body including a heel receptacle configured to receive a heel of a user of the wakesurf board, such that the heel receptacle provides lateral support to the heel of the user of the wakesurf board. A wakesurf board training device kit, and a wakesurf board system are also disclosed.
Activity Surf Pool
Some embodiments include an activity pool comprising: a pool and an axial flow pump. The pool may comprise an activity pool reservoir comprising a top opening and a depth; and a water reservoir comprising a depth greater than the usable pool depth. The axial flow pump may be disposed within the water reservoir. The axial flow pump may comprise: a water intake disposed near or at the bottom of the axial flow pump; a water flow channel fluidically connected with the water intake; a motor; an impeller disposed at least partially between the water intake and the water flow channel; an impeller shaft coupled with the motor and the impeller, the impeller shaft extending from the motor to the impeller though the water flow channel; and an output disposed between the motor and the water flow channel, the output fluidically connected with the water flow channel and the usable pool.
Configurable Activity Pool
Some embodiments may include an activity pool comprising a pool, an activity deck, a plurality of screw jacks, and an axial flow pump. In some embodiments, the activity deck may be disposed within the activity pool reservoir and may be moveable in a vertical direction between at least two configurations. In some embodiments, the plurality of screw jacks may be coupled with a bottom side of the activity deck, the plurality of screw jacks may move the activity deck between the at least two configurations. In some embodiments, the axial flow pump may be disposed within a water reservoir and may force water through the axial flow pump and into a usable pool.
Activity Pool
Some embodiments include an activity pool comprising a pool volume having a top opening and a depth; and an activity deck disposed within the pool volume, the activity deck is moveable in a vertical direction between at least two configurations, the activity deck comprises a composite material; and a plurality of screw jacks coupled with the activity deck, the plurality of screw jacks move the activity deck between the at least two configurations, the plurality of screw jacks being coupled together with a one or more motor that engages each of the plurality of screw jacks via one or more worm gears.
Surfing Glove
Enhanced surfing by means of waterproof gloves which provide lifting pads spanning the width of the palm from the base of the thumb and terminating near the pinky, or also extending across the upper palm finger pads if desirable, while secured tightly at the wrist. The padding is contoured and rises to prescribed height starting at the base of the wrist, rising to the maximum height near the base of the palm, and then returning to level with the hand inside the palm. Similarly, narrower finger pads will follow a similar contour but will have less height than the palm pad. The padding provides a resilient, rebound boost to aid surfers in quickly rising to their feet while simultaneously creating more clearance between a surfer's torso and board to allow for a heightened swing arch to create forward distance for initial foot positioning and added takeoff momentum.
Device for board sports and associated learning method
Some embodiments are directed to an analysis device for board sports, intended to be secured to a board, such as a surfboard or ski, at the interface with the user. The device includes: a force sensor designed to capture one or more forces generated by the user on the board; a position and motion sensor designed to capture the position, speed and acceleration of the board in space; and a processing unit or processor connected to the force sensor and to the position and motion sensor and designed to synchronize and process the data from the sensors.
Systems and Methods for Generating Waves
A wave generating system can include a water channel for creating a flow of water to produce a standing wave. A water return passageway can circulate the water back to the inlet of the water channel. One or more pipes can extend under the water channel for circulating the water. A water storage chamber can be positioned below the water channel. Water can be stored in the space between the one or more pipes, and the storage water can be isolated from the water being circulated in the system. The system can produce a hydraulic circuit with hydraulic continuity so that water can be efficiently circulated through the water channel and water return passageway. The system can be modular.
ARTIFICIAL SURFING SYSTEM
In an artificial surfing system for generating a standing wave, comprising a water circuit, in which a first wave generating device is arranged, which comprises a wave pool and a ramp arranged upstream of the wave pool, over which the water flows down into the wave pool, wherein the water circuit downstream of the wave pool of the first wave generating device comprises a water backflow, via which the water is made available to a pump with which the water can be conveyed from the backflow upwards to the first wave generating device, at least one further wave generating device is arranged in the backflow, to which the water coming from the first wave generating device flows.
