SEATING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AN INTERNAL CABIN OF AN AIRCRAFT
A seating system for an internal cabin of an aircraft includes a table having at least one panel that is configured to be moved between a stowed position and a deployed position, and at least one seat assembly proximate to the table. The seat assembly is configured to be moved between a forward orientation in which the seat assembly faces away from the table, and a lateral orientation in which the seat assembly faces towards the table.
Sidewall closeout area assembly, system, and method for routing conductive elements in an aircraft
There is provided a sidewall closeout area assembly for an aircraft. The assembly includes a raceway with a first end to attach to a sidewall assembly, a second end to attach to aircraft floor structure(s), and a raceway body with first access opening(s) providing access to one or more of, a crown area and an underfloor area, for conductive elements routed along the raceway. The assembly further includes a raceway cover removably coupled to the raceway and having second access opening(s) providing access to the cabin and to an overfloor area in the cabin for the conductive elements. The assembly further includes a closeout area formed between the raceway body and the raceway cover, to house and protect the conductive elements. The assembly facilitates accessibility to the conductive elements, and provides a routing path for the conductive elements that does not need to be reconfigured for different aircraft cabin layouts.
AUGMENTED REALITY SYSTEM FOR PILOT AND PASSENGERS
The present invention achieves technical advantages as an aircraft having an augmented reality flight control system integrated with and operable from the pilot seat and an associated pilot headgear unit, wherein the flight control system is supplemented by flight-assisting artificial intelligence and geo-location systems. The present invention includes an augmented reality flight control system incorporating real-world objects with virtual elements to provide relevant data to a pilot during aircraft flight. A translucent substrate is disposed in the pilot's field of view such that the pilot can see therethrough, and observe virtual elements displayed on the substrate. The system includes a headgear that is worn by the pilot. A flight assistance module is configured to receive data related to the aircraft and provide predictive assistance to the pilot during flight based on the received data based in part on a pilot profile having preferences related to the pilot.
Passenger tray with integrated user interface device
A passenger tray with an integrated user interface device is disclosed. In embodiments, a passenger tray assembly includes a passenger tray with a cavity defined in a surface of the passenger tray. A user interface device is disposed within the cavity. The user interface device includes a capacitive touch interface that is configured to generate signals for controlling one or more electronic components in a passenger environment. For example, the capacitive touch interface can be configured to generate signals for controlling an in-flight entertainment device, an actuator of a passenger chair, a passenger light system, and/or a flight attendant alert system.
RECONFIGURABLE MODULAR IN-VEHICLE ENTERTAINMENT MONITOR SYSTEMS
In-vehicle entertainment (WE) monitor systems can be reconfigurable and modular to improve heat dissipation characteristics and to enable separate removal or installation of one or more parts within the WE monitor system without affecting the rest of the IVE monitor system. A modular system for providing in-vehicle entertainment to passengers on a commercial passenger vehicle includes a main housing, a peripheral housing, and a display panel that are separately removable or installable. A main printed circuit board (PCB) in the main housing is electrically connected to a secondary PCB in the peripheral housing via the first data cable and the secondary PCB is electrically connected to the display panel via the second data cable in a series configuration.
Seat light systems and methods for aircraft cabins
A light system may comprise: a seat back housing configured to be coupled to a seat in an aircraft; a light assembly coupled to the seat back housing, the light assembly comprising: a main body at least partially disposed in the seatback housing in response to the light assembly being in a stowed state, the main body coupled to a joint and configured to move relative to the joint, and a light coupled to the main body.
APPARATUS FOR DEVICE CHARGING
Apparatus for installation in a passenger transport vehicle for controlling a power charging outlet for a mobile electronic device (10), the apparatus comprising, a processor (5) and a switch (3), and the connector port (2), the switch arranged to control power supplied to the connector port and/or a data connection via the connector port, the processor configured to receive a signal indicative of a credential stored on a credential device, by way of a contactless terminal or by way of a wired connection between the device and the connector port, the processor arranged to verify or otherwise the validity of the received credential and control the switch accordingly.
Integrated Seating Armrest, Stowage and Bed Surface
An aircraft seat for an aircraft passenger compartment suite is disclosed. In embodiments, the aircraft seat includes a primary section including a primary seatback portion and a primary seat base portion, and an auxiliary section including an auxiliary seatback portion and an auxiliary seat base portion. In embodiments, the aircraft seat may further include an actuatable element configured to actuate between an open position and a closed position. The actuatable element may include a first surface which defines at least a portion of the auxiliary seatback portion when the actuatable element is in the closed position, and a second surface which defines a surface of an armrest when the actuatable element is in the open position.
