A retractable chair for an aircraft cabin which is connected in use to a wall of the cabin, and includes an articulated frame having a back and a seat; a support which is connected to the frame, and fitted such as to be mobile on the wall around an axis of rotation; and at least one covering stretched on the frame. The fact of pivoting the support relative to the wall makes it possible to be able to incline the back, which contributes towards improving the comfort of the chair.
FUNCTIONAL UNIT IN A PASSENGER CABIN, INCLUDING A SUPPORT UNIT AND A PASSENGER SEAT SYSTEM
A functional unit in a passenger cabin includes a support unit and a passenger seat system. The passenger seat system is formed in two parts and has an upper constructional unit and a lower constructional unit that are each separate components, the upper constructional unit arranged on the support unit and containing at least one backrest, and the lower constructional unit containing a seat frame, at least one seat element and restraint for the passenger on the seat. The seat frame is fastenable to seat rails on the floor of a passenger cabin. For the use position, the upper and lower constructional units are positioned such that a passenger seat is formed. In the use position, personal comfort for the individuals on the seats is not impaired as far as possible, and the division of the seat system into two parts cannot be seen by the user.
SPACE EFFICIENT CABIN SEGMENT FOR A VEHICLE AS WELL AS A PASSENGER CABIN HAVING A PLURALITY OF SEATS AND SUCH A CABIN SEGMENT
A cabin segment for a vehicle includes a first lateral segment module having a first main extension axis, a second lateral segment module having a second main extension axis, and an aisle arranged in the cabin segment. The main extension axes parallel to each other, and the first and second lateral segment modules are distanced from each other in a direction perpendicular to the main extension axes and enclose the aisle, which runs parallel to the main extension axes. At least one of the first lateral segment module and the second lateral segment module includes a lavatory accessible through a lavatory opening positioned outside the aisle. The first lateral segment module includes at least one receiving space to receive serving trolleys. The at least one receiving space has a receiving opening facing into the aisle.
COMPACT FUNCTIONAL ARRANGEMENT IN A CABIN OF A VEHICLE AND VEHICLE WITH SUCH A FUNCTIONAL ARRANGEMENT
A functional arrangement in a cabin of a vehicle includes a monument with a housing having several side walls, which define an interior space, and at least two adjacently arranged seats each having a backrest and headrest. The seats adjoin an exterior side of a first side wall of the housing, and have a seating direction facing away from the first side wall. The first side wall includes a first surface portion that is located at least sectionally behind the headrests of the at least two seats in a vertical direction and includes at least one bulge extending at least in a horizontal direction between two adjacently lying headrests. At least one piece of equipment is situated in the interior space, extends into the at least one bulge and is usable in the interior space of the monument.
Aircraft-based Modular Door Panel Assembly
In one embodiment, a modular door panel assembly for an aircraft comprises a door surround that interfaces with a door aperture of the aircraft to ensure aircraft pressurization, a first hole in an upper portion of the door surround configured to accommodate a modular upper panel assembly such that a portion of the door surround around the first hole is capable of interfacing with the modular upper panel assembly to ensure aircraft pressurization, a second hole in a lower portion of the door surround configured to accommodate a modular lower panel assembly such that a portion of the door surround around the second hole is capable of interfacing with the modular lower panel assembly to ensure aircraft pressurization, and a strut actuator aperture below the second hole that is configured to interface with an articulated strut to ensure pressurization.
SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR A FLIGHT ATTENDANT SEAT
A support structure for a flight attendant seat, the support structure having supporting elements arranged at an upper and a lower end of the support structure. The supporting elements connect the support structure to an aircraft structure via fastening points, the support structure having receiving elements for receiving the flight attendant seat. The support structure has at least two substantially vertical elements and at least one substantially horizontal element. The vertical elements have at least one upper and one lower end, the supporting elements being attached to respective ends of the vertical elements and forming lattice struts. The support elements are designed to be connected to the aircraft structure at at least two attachment positions, at least two upper and two lower fastening points being selectable in their respective attachment position to the aircraft structure, at least one cabin element being adaptively attached to the support structure.
COLLAPSIBLE BACKREST
A collapsible backrest may include a cover and a back panel retained within a first compartment of the cover. A base panel flexibly coupled to the back panel and retained within a second compartment of the cover with the central panel and the base panel defining a notch. A central panel may be flexibly coupled to the base panel and retained within a third compartment of the cover. An end panel may also be flexibly coupled to the central panel and retained within a fourth compartment of the cover. The central panel and the end panel define a cavity. The base panel, the central panel, and the end panel form a triangular support structure in a deployed position. The base panel, the central panel, and the end panel may also be arranged end-to-end and substantially parallel to the back panel in a stowed position.
Components for Enhancement of a Low Profile Crew Attendant Seat
A crew attendant seat (CAS) positioned within a wall of an aircraft cabin includes a frame defining a periphery of the CAS. A seat portion is positioned within the frame that includes a seat bottom connected to a seatback by a hinge mechanism in which the seat bottom rotates between stowed and deployed positions. A spring member is mounted at one end to the frame and at another end to an aperture on the hinge mechanism, which causes the seat bottom to move to the stowed or deployed position based on relative positioning between the aperture and pivot points for the spring member and hinge mechanism. A harness includes at least one shoulder strap and lap belt coupled together by a buckle. A storage area retains the lap belt and the buckle within the frame when the seat bottom is in the stowed position.
FLIGHT ATTENDANT SEAT AND METHOD FOR FITTING A FLIGHT ATTENDANT SEAT
A flight attendant seat comprising a frame that can be mounted on a carrier fixture or integrated into the carrier fixture, and at least one seat arrangement integrated into the frame. The frame comprises a lower section, an upper section and a central section taking up the at least one seat arrangement, at least partially. The lower section is formed bent at least in a region adjoining the central section. A method is provided for fitting a flight attendant seat.
Vehicular seat assembly having expandable seat back section
A system may include a vehicular seat assembly including first and second seat support beams, a seat pan, a bar, a fabric seat back, and at least one detachable attachment means. The fabric seat back may have a first end and a second end. The fabric seat back may be secured at the first end to the bar.
