METHOD OF FORMING AND USING DEACTIVATION WIPE KIT
A hazardous drug deactivation wipe kit includes a first pouch having a one-way valve coupled to an end thereof, a second pouch, and a third pouch. The first pouch contains a wipe saturated in a hypochlorite solution, the second pouch contains a wipe saturated in thiosulfate solution, and the third pouch contains a wipe saturated in isopropyl alcohol solution. The deactivation wipe kit may be used in a clean room to deactivate most hazardous drugs on a work surface.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OXYGEN FREE PACKAGING
A method for packaging products in a substantially oxygen free environment. The method includes providing a containment environment with a main chamber formed by main chamber walls, gloves connected to the main chamber walls, an exhaust portion for removing ambient air, an intake portion for introducing inert gas, and selectively sealable access points for providing access into and out of the main chamber. The method includes providing a bulk product dispenser and individual bottles into the main chamber and sealing the main chamber. The method includes purging ambient air from the main chamber through the exhaust portion and filling the containment environment with inert gas. The method includes transferring a product from the bulk product dispenser to each of the individual bottles and sealing the bottles.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CREATING AN ENVIRONMENTALLY SEALED CONNECTION BETWEEN TWO REGIONS
A method and device for creating an environmentally sealed connection for transfer between a first region and a second region, the first region and the second region each having an at least partially flexible barrier with connection portions, comprising the following steps: (i) superposition of said connection portions of the barriers in a sandwich arrangement, wherein each connection portion comprises a first area at least partially made of thermo-resistant material and a second area comprising a first welding band zone of a closed geometrical shape, said first and second area of each barrier being arranged to face one another, with the first areas of the two barriers forming the outside layers of the sandwich arrangement, and the second areas of the two barriers forming the inside layers of the sandwich arrangement, wherein the first areas are positioned to cover the first welding band zones of the second zones, (ii) joining the second areas by welding of the first closed welding band zones, whereby a first separation line, comprised inside and along the length of the first welding band zone, is cut as a result of the welding and whereby the barrier areas enclosed by the separation line are welded along their edges to form an insert, which becomes detached from the at least partially flexible barriers, and (iii) distancing the first areas of the super-positioned connection portions from each other, for example by pulling them apart, thereby revealing an opening confined by the welded seam connecting the second areas of the at least partially flexible barriers and joining the first region with the second region.
Spouted pouch adapted to be filled with a flowable product and method of production thereof
In combination a spouted pouch to be filled with a flowable product by a filling machine, a plug, and a cap. The interference fit plug is releasably mounted over the top end of the neck of the spout body and hermetically seals the product passage of the spout body. The plug is adapted to be removed by the filling machine and to be replaced by pressing the plug onto the neck after filling of the pouch. The plug removal, filling, and replacing of the plug are preferably performed in an aseptic environment. The cap is after the filling of the pouch and the replacing of the plug onto the neck. The capping is preferably performed by a capping machine in a non-aseptic environment.
Bagged bottle filling and capping devices and methods
Method and apparatus are disclosed for capping a plurality of bottles enclosed and sealed in a plastic bag. The method comprises disposing the plurality of bottles in a tray in a predetermined array such that caps, disposed in a plate can be displaced for convenient capping in a single step. Ratchet tools are disclosed for facile threading of caps to bottles.
Method for filling pharmaceutical containers
In one general aspect, a method for filling multiple containers with a pharmaceutical product is disclosed, which comprises decontaminating sealed nested materials in a transfer chamber, removing from the sealed nested materials one or both of a container nest holding the multiple containers and a closure nest holding multiple closures, transferring from the transfer chamber to a controlled environment enclosure the removed nest, aseptically filling the containers with the pharmaceutical product, and closing the containers with the multiple closures. The nests are configured to allow multiple closures and containers to be simultaneously aligned concentrically, and closed simultaneously. Spring-loaded retaining structures on the closure nest allow it to releasably retain multiple closures above the corresponding multiple containers. In some embodiments the spring-loaded features are monolithically integrated with the closure nest. The product may be lyophilized in partially sealed containers while the sealing closures are releasably retained by the closure nest.
Container and Lid
A container lid is provided herein having structurally reinforcing ribs therein. The ribs increase the strength of the lid across a central region thereof. Specifically, the lid can have an outer perimeter and the ribs can be spaced inwardly from the outer perimeter. The inwardly spaced ribs can provide a distinct look for consumer differentiation. Additionally, the ribs can be arcuate so that they generally follow a curvature of the outer perimeter of the lid. As such, a label region within the lid central region is preserved, while the lid is still strengthened by the ribs.
Housed line for processing and packaging food
A line for processing and packaging food. The line has at least one processing station for processing the food and at least one packaging station for packaging the processed food. The processing station and the packaging station are housed in an interior of a common housing.
CONTAINER FILING SYSTEMS AND VALVE FOR SAME
A container filling valve may include a shuttle and a drive sleeve that are magnetically coupled. Movement of the drive sleeve may move the shuttle from a position in which the filling valve is closed to a position in which the filling valve is open. A container handling arm may include a distal end configured to hold a container and a proximal end that includes a load cell. A low flow setpoint system may be configured to arrest closing of a filling valve when that filling valve is partially closed. A pressure control system may be configured to maintain a desired pressure in a reservoir or in a flow path from that reservoir. A product recirculation system may be configured to adjust flow rate in the product recirculation system.
Systems and methods for producing sterile injection devices
The present disclosure provides novel processes for providing sterile, pre-filled syringes or injection devices for pharmaceutical compositions, including protein and biopharmaceutical formulations. In some examples, secondary packaging is performed in an aseptic environment, which removes the need for any terminal sterilization method. In some examples, the aseptic packaging method results in a sterile injection device suitable for use in ophthalmic injections.
