Method and system for automatically forming packaging boxes
Method and system for automatically forming packaging boxes and packaging an article therein, preferably simultaneously with the formation of said boxes. At least four folding units fold side and end panels of a blank upwardly. The four folding units comprise a front pair of folding units and a rear pair of folding units positioned upstream at a longitudinal distance from the front pair of folding units seen in conveying direction, and the folding units of the front pair and the folding units of the rear pair are positioned at a respective transverse distance from each other. Said longitudinal distance is adjustable during feeding of the custom sized blank into the supporting station, preferably by starting the displacement of the front pair of folding units towards the sealing station earlier than the displacement of the rear pair of folding units.
Packaging system with adjustable container closer
An improved packaging system (10) includes a packaging line that guides containers in a downstream direction, a sensor (12) that can identify a dimension of a container on the packaging line, a dunnage dispenser (14) on the packaging line downstream of the sensor to dispense dunnage to a void volume in a container, and a container closer (16) downstream of the dunnage dispenser (14) to close containers on the packaging line downstream of the dunnage dispenser. The container closer (16) includes an adjustable member (20), and is in communication with the sensor to (12) adjust the adjustable member (20) based on the identified dimension of the container. The system thus includes a way to identify the size of the container before the container reaches the container closer. The container closer can adjust for the container's size before the container arrives, speeding up the container closing operation.

A device for applying cover sheets on palletized loads, including at least one support for at least one palletized load, means for unwinding at least one reel of cover film from which a plurality of sheets to be applied on the palletized loads can be obtained, and at least one applicator member suitable for positioning, one-by-one, the cover sheets obtained from said reel on the top of respective palletized loads. The applicator member includes at least one robotic arm having at least one operative end with which at least one grip member is associated, said grip member being suitable to pick up each cover sheet unwound from said reel at least one edge, and to position it on the top of a respective palletized load.
EFFICIENT PACKAGING OF PIPE INSULATION OR OTHER MATERIALS
A collapsible product has a tubular body of resilient material, the tubular body having an outer surface and an inner surface, a length, a wall between the outer surface and the inner surface, and a longitudinal axis. The tubular body wall is split longitudinally along its length, at a first perimeter location on the tube. The tubular body wall is also cut longitudinally along its length, partially through its wall thickness from the inner surface, at one or more inner perimeter locations. The tubular body wall is further cut longitudinally along its length, partially through its wall thickness from the outer surface, at two or more outer perimeter locations. The longitudinal cuts enable a controlled collapse of the tubular body, which can be efficiently packaged for shipping. The collapsible product may be tubular fiberglass pipe insulation, or another kind of product.
Dunnage product transfer using an alignment reference plane
A packaging system for transferring a dunnage product to a packaging container includes a dunnage sensor configured to detect the dunnage product registered at an alignment reference plane in a staging location. The packaging system also includes a package sensor configured to detect the packaging container registered at the alignment reference plane in a loading location. A dunnage placement apparatus is configured to transfer the dunnage product from the staging location to the packaging container in the loading location after both the dunnage sensor detects the dunnage product registered at the alignment reference plane in the staging location and the package sensor detects the packaging container registered at the alignment reference plane in the loading location.

SOLID STATE DISK PACKAGING LINE
A solid state disk packaging line, for packaging solid state disks, includes a stacking tray conveying system, a packaging system, a packaging box conveying system, and a packaging box packaging system. The packaging system includes a packaging box loading device, a sealing bag loading device, and a packaging machine. Two sides of the packaging system provided with the packaging machine are connected with the stacking tray conveying system and the packaging box conveying system respectively. The packaging machine receives stacking trays, and loads the stacking trays into a packaging box, and then transfers the packaging box to the packaging box packaging system via the packaging box conveying system. The packaging box with the stacking trays loaded therein is sealed by the packaging box packaging system. The packaging line packages and seals the packaging box without manual work which protects solid state disks, avoids doing damage, and improves production efficiency.
